Even during peak hours, I'm usually able to move through my routine without too much waiting, which is a big plus. The atmosphere is also great -- most of the people I've met here have been friendly and respectful, and everyone's been cool about letting me work in when they're using equipment I need. It makes the gym feel welcoming instead of intimidating. The only downside is the parking situation. Having to park off-site at the Whole Foods garage isn't ideal. While validation helps, the garage itself is tight, crowded, and pretty chaotic with cars and pedestrians constantly moving around. The walk across the street to the gym can also be unpleasant when it's cold or raining. Overall though, great gym, great equipment, and a friendly staff -- definitely recommend if you're looking for a quality workout space in the Gulch.

I had no access to the gym during that time, as the app they instructed me to use showed my membership as cancelled, and I wasn't told about a new app or system to manage my membership that they now claim exists but refuse to share the details of. The team ignored multiple attempts to reach out. Weeks later, I was promised a partial refund that never arrived -- and now they claim only one person can help, and he's "out of office." No one else will assist. I'm now filing a dispute with my bank and reporting them to consumer protection agencies. Avoid this gym at all costs.

Downstairs. That was a kabuki Powerbar on that rack. Some decent bars in this place.

The workouts are different every day and are fun, well-rounded combinations of calisthenics, cardio, and weighted stuff. The coaches demonstrate the exercises (plus modifications) at the start of class, so it feels doable for everyone. And if there's something you can't do, chances are you're not alone! I've been coming here for 9-ish years and have seen athletes of all levels join FFN. Some are new, some are injured, some are pregnant, all have a place. I really like how the coaches get to know each member's skill and comfort level over time--if you want to push yourself, they'll gladly help you do it (safely)! I just started going to their Barbell Club classes (strength training), which I'm not great at yet. There are people lifting HEAVY weights around me while I'm still learning form, but I feel really encouraged by them. It's been a fun new challenge! You'll get out what you put into this place. And I've got a forever-gym, great friends, and a fitness routine that supports my goals. Just come :) it'll be fun.

Your first class is free, first month is $49 and no commitment thereafter.. unless you're like me, get super addicted, come back after your first month like, "take my money! Where do i sign?!" I have been to several Barre studios over the years, and I love how inclusive Barre3 feels (at both…read moreof the Nashville locations I've visited). Workout classes can be intimidating and having a forever injury that requires modification can make it feel even scarier however, the employees always make sure to welcome new people show them around. I find that before classes (particularly a more full class) there will be socialization between members/attendees and it's not just with people they know, rather with whoever is standing nearby. Of course no one is forcing conversations if people don't wish to be social, but it just feels extra welcoming. The instructors never make you feel left out or like a burden if you need modifications. Having done barre for a while, I'm pretty good at doing my own, however without signaling anyone out they'll offer and demonstrate different modifications for each move and encourage people to take what they need. It's nice to be reminded that this is your workout, and the way you do it doesn't have to fit perfectly into a certain look or move. They also offer hands on modifications, which you can tell them if you'd rather not receive them, but the modifications are never forceful (I think most group fitness people have experienced a modifications from a good intentioned teacher that was a little too zealous - that's never happened to me at Barre3). This is a great place for beginners, for people who are feeling a little alone on starting a fitness/barre journey, for regulars, and for all the in-betweeners. It's a welcoming and inclusive environment, that encourages modifications, all skill levels, and support where ever you need it. However, don't be fooled by all the niceness too much, because the workout will still absolutely kick your butt and is harder than you think - but it's delivered in a way that's always encouraging. Also, the free parking is a major plus of this location! You can park in the attached garage or street parking nearby. For the garage I use the call box and let them know I'm there for barre3 but make sure you get the door code from an employee before your visit, because you'll need that to enter the 2nd door.
