I never thought I would write a review about an oil change shop, but here we are. I often equate oil change shops with fast food restaurants - quick, easy, and in such abundance that one can be found on every other corner. Moreover, just like with fast food joints, I associate them with being wildly overpriced and terribly lax in customer-centered care. Then Tim at Mobil 1 Lube Express completely changed my perception. Tim is phenomenal. He greets each customer with a "glad-to-see-you" enthusiasm that comes straight from the heart. His energy and passion for care of both vehicle and customer shines through with every visit. He looks each customer directly in the eye and imparts wisdom and suggestions without even the slightest hint of pressure. Essentially, Tim is like the neighbor that you are happy to see and that you trust with advice about your vehicle. I have been coming to mobile lube express for over 10 years and I only have one person touch my car and that's TIM.. Tim is hands down the best of the best when it comes to oil changes and other things they offer and do here. I do not go anywhere else but here and I just refuse to go else where. Tim explains things to you so you understand what is going on under the hood, he checks to see if anything else would go bad and warns you about it and then the choice is up to you. He and his team are great they are good at their jobs and they all work hard (despite the customers attitude or mood while inside the shop) to get everyone done and out in a timely fashion..this place is the best I love coming here, couldn't find nicer people, they offer you a hot drink when it's cold etc. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone because they are good and they don't mess up your car as say a dealership might or one of their shops. read more

Great Local Service! We recently moved to the area and wanted to find a local business to perform a much-needed oil change for my 2004 Buick Rainer. I found this local on the back of one of my grocery store receipts. When I arrived the Manager and team were ready to assist. They were friendly and efficient and make sure I knew what was being added, changed, and checked (something that my husband always tells me to do) without me prompting them to do so. I loved that! I was in and out in a matter of minutes on a busy weekday evening. In that short time, I had already decided that Mobil 1 Lube Express, located at 8600 S. Cicero, would be my NEW permanent service station. I will now tell my new neighbors who own various business that involve automotive transportation to frequent this establishment. When it comes to changing my oil to my car hands down I take it to Mobil 1 Lube. Most of the time I am very skeptical on where I take my car but since going to Mobil 1 Lube I'm here to tell you that I don't plan on taking my car to any other place. Everyone at Mobil 1 Lube is helpful especially Tim, who makes me feel important and treats my car with the same care that I know he would treat his own car. He takes his time to go over any issues as well as informs me of other possible issues to look out for in the future. I never feel cheated and I know by watching him he does an outstanding job getting my car ready for the road. I'm very happy to finally say that I found a place I can go to and trust. Visited this place again after two years and the same guy is there and the same thing happened to me. This guy Tim (White shirt) manager or whatever they call him is still there tried to sell me everything for my car that they sold there I swear, if they sold tires he would have tried to sell me them if mine were new. He is very unprofessional he gets really personal as far as asking me what i do for a living well not that its any of his business, I just felt like he was seeing if i had a job or not and what kind of money I make so he could empty my purse, with his sweet talking Crap....If you visit this place you will know exactly what/who I'm talking about. I have been coming here for many years and will continue to do so. They have excellent customer service and I never feel ripped off, which is so important to me. Tim is the BEST and always lets me know what is going on with my vehicle. He will not try to sell me unnecessary services or parts. If Tim sees something wrong with my car, he will tell me and that has helped me a lot. Mobil 1 is lucky to have him and I will continue to go back because of his customer service and integrity. Needed an oil change on my used work van and took it over to Tim at Mobil 1. I also thought I needed transmission service and a radiator flush. My trans fluid was low and Tim topped it off. He tested my antifreeze and it tested good. No need for the radiator flush. They are honest and only recommended the services that I needed. He provided excellent customer service and took good care of my autistic son providing him with hot chocolate and treats. The guys over at mobile 1 really made us feel welcome. Tim and his team really understand the art of customer service. My family and I have had our share of horrible experiences with dealerships and "10 minutes" oil services. It's different here. I have been there twice and will continue on going back. Tim is the best. The whole staff is professional. I had my trans fluid changed and I have been putting it off, since I do not trust the other express stations. During each visit, Tim performed his duties by informing me of any needed services and an explanation thereof. Great service, it's amazing how this place turns a simple oil change into an amazing customer experience. Greeted by Tim and the rest of the crew, from start To finish they did a great job of making you feel appreciated. Went to get an oil change in a Subaru Crosstrek and was in and out in about 20 min, tops. I did get there as soon as it opened at 8am and there was one other car in line in front of me. The manager, Tim, was great and it's clear to me that he knows the secret to gaining new customers: great customer service, good prices and incentives to come back. He topped off all fluids including the COOLANT which was quite low, FOR FREE! great guy, and so was the other employee. Tim (the Manager) & his staff are HONEST, professional & fair unlike many of the other in & out oil shops in the area. Tim from mobile 1 is a great hard working mechanic who isn't going to stiff you. A good mechanic will give you recommendations on changing parts versus a mechanic who just changes it and charges you for it anyway. I recommend everyone I know to go to mobile 1 because Tim is honest and personable. I have plenty of people that can perform oil changes but I prefer Tim as I've been coming here for years. The gentleman that helped me Name is Tim he was a very knowledgeable gentleman that changed my oil and air filter.
