A hand dipped corn dog with boysenberry batter!! YES PLEASE We bought season passes when they had them on 30% off for Memorial day and got the meal plan...so Mama and I go every Tuesday for lunch and try a new spot! So far this has been our favorite but we were so hungry we inhaled our corn dogs with no picture We also do one ride Tuesday this week it was Calico mine ride! Exactly like I remembered 40 years ago The food was fast and DELICIOUS!! Servers were kind and accomodating- mom has a walker... All the bathrooms are clean and well stocked! There is literally something for everyone!!

Strictly-On-A-Stick is in Knott's Barry Farm they serve corn dogs and different styles of fries and drinks. Right now it the Boysenberry festival at Knott's Farm the corn dog is cover with a boysenberry batter and come Boysenberry mustard. The service is good but it take a while get your corndog they serve the corndog hot from the fryer.

We got lucky on the fries portion. Last time we had less.

*Dining Season Pass Holder* It's a corn dog and some fries. You can either hit or miss on the portion of the fries depending on who's working that hour. Some are generous with their portions and some give you just enough to be borderline satisfied with your meal. It's a hand battered corn dog so it's fresh. I'd come here for a small snack, but I wouldn't waste money or the dining pass check in here if I was starving. Boardwalk bbq and fireman's brigade would be better options for quantity .

I'm giving it 3.5 stars. Dining Plan participant Category: savory snacks Location: Quick-service counter located across from the entrance of Timber Mountain Log Ride in Ghost Town Strictly-On-A-Stick is open daily Hours of operation vary (and are subject to change without notice). Baskets- Served w fries: Hand-dipped Corn dog basket Boysenberry Corn Dog (The combination of sweet boysenberry cornbread and delicious hot dog)- might be a seasonal item corn dog bites basket fried cheese stick basket Other offerings: ala carte: garlic fries shoestring fries Open during the Boysenberry Festival so we were finally able to try it out. Yay! (It's been closed the past few times.) Pretty long line, closed tuesday (rain). Hubby and our son both had the boysenberry corndog, $16? or $13? each (pretty big, portion- wise) with fries (came with boysenberry mustard) and I had the cream cheese rosti bites with fries, $12 (came with cold boysenberry sauce w/ nuts). Mine was very good, the rosti bites were hot, the sauce was cold, that's my only critique. Everyone agreed, it's good to try out once. Hubby said it's a basic corn dog, that if you gave it to him, he wouldn't be able to tell that it had a hint of boysenberry. Lots of fries. (We had a small container that we brought.)

Boysenberry corn dog has boysenberry in the batter! Comes with seasoned fries. Kinda salty overall but surprisingly good.

As an annual pass member, I never knew about this hidden gem until the Boysenberry Festival. This small walk-up window, located across from the log ride and next to the restrooms, offers a unique and delicious menu item: the boysenberry corn dog. The corn dog exceeded my expectations with its tasty and fresh seasoned fries, batter infused with boysenberry, and more sausage than batter. The corn to dog ratio was perfect for my taste. These appeared to be hand-dipped, not frozen or straight out of a box. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be returning to try it again if I'm craving a fulfilling snack to hold me over.

Fried cheese on a stick.... for 2 natch!
    Crystal L.

So disappointed! We were really looking forward to this - I mean fried cheese. On a stick. With waffle fries. Have mercy. But it's so unbearably salty... both the cheese and the waffle fries. And about that cheese - the dish would be better with better cheese. I'm not sure this isn't some sort of processed cheese food. Maybe only fake cheese will stand up to this treatment? There is a sort of unusual almost sweet spice taste that I think comes from the batter. It could be an accident of some other deep fried morsel being left in the fry basket, but that occasional hit of sweetness was much needed in the one note of fried salt. If you're going to do this - and you probably are - know that the basket is about $9 ($8 and some change), comes with waffle fries and will certainly feed two. Also will take about 10 minutes to make. Use that time to hydrate.

Boysenberry Corn Dog Combo with Fries $12.99 and Boysenberry Punch $3.99
    Dianna N.

Boysenberry Corn Dog Combo with Fries $12.99: I had to google this corn dog before ordering, because how is a corn dog boysenberry? The answer lies in the batter. But honestly, it didn't taste any different to me, despite the purplish color. It is an expensive corn dog, but it does come with a good amount of (mediocre) fries. It's $9.29 for a corn dog a la carte (no fries), which is the same price at Disney's Corn Dog Castle (although theirs comes with chips or apple slices). It was still a decent corn dog, even though it wasn't made fresh since it was ready immediately. We took it to the tables at the nearby Boardwalk BBQ, which had boysenberry bbq sauce and regular bbq sauce available in the self serve condiments area. We made it a combo with a boysenberry punch for $3.99 extra. It was very refreshing on that hot day.

Horrible. Don't even think about it. Just skip it. I love corn dogs. I've eaten a lot of corn dogs in my life. The corn dog at Strictly On A Stick was the worst corn dog I have ever had. I was the only customer and it took 20 min for my corn dog. I thought wow maybe its gonna be really good since it is taking so long. Nope it was crap. Tasted horrible. The hot dog, breading it was all bad. Take a visit over to DL and taste a real corn dog.

    Nicole F.

Over all it was okay. We got the plain hand dipped corn dog with fries; nothing new or crazy impressive, definitely a really large hot dog inside covered in a huge amount of fried funnel cake dough. The taste of the hot dog was solid but could've been better. The fries were on the shoestring side and nicely seasoned, but I'd go with the loaded animal tots instead.

    Almost went back for another.

Everything was really good. The food was solid, and the pricing felt fair for today's world--not cheap, but not outrageous either. Honestly, since it's inside a hotel, my expectations weren't sky-high, but the food pleasantly surprised me. I'd definitely come back, especially to try their brunch. The reason it's four stars instead of five comes down to the atmosphere and staffing. The restaurant sits right in the hotel lobby with no walls, so you hear everything--hotel guests coming and going, music playing in the lobby, the TV from the bar, and general foot traffic. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxed dinner, this might feel a little overstimulating. Also, our waiter (who was great, by the way) seemed to be doing the job of about three people. He was taking orders, bringing drinks and food, running payments, and even delivering room service. The poor guy was working like he owed the hotel money. On a Friday night, they could definitely use more staff. That said, the food was good, the service was kind, and I'd still come back--next time probably for brunch.

This restaurant is a hidden gem (super stunning decor) and one of the best hotel restaurants I've ever eaten at. They have an incredible selection and prices are decent. Unsafe Conditions, Dismissive Management & Unnecessary Security Call…read more I was dining at Thirty Acres Kitchen inside the Knott's Hotel when water started dripping directly from the ceiling onto me. There was also standing water on the floor with no wet floor signs, barriers, or any warnings whatsoever. This was a clear slip-and-fall hazard in a busy restaurant. I calmly brought it to the attention of the manager on duty, Julie, and pointed out how dangerous it was--especially for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility needs, this was particularly concerning. Instead of addressing the problem, she dismissed it as "not a big deal," refused to complete any incident report, gave me a negative attitude with a mean facial expression, and then called security on me as if I was the problem. When the young security guard arrived, he asked for my ID. I politely refused and explained the situation calmly--he looked surprised but not defensive. I have photos documenting the ceiling leak, standing water, and lack of signage. This experience was disappointing and unsafe, especially from a hotel restaurant attached to a family theme park. Management should prioritize fixing hazards and training staff to handle legitimate guest concerns professionally rather than escalating them. I hope Knott's / Six Flags investigates and improves. This was my first time coming to this restaurant.

We have visited this CJ's location several times over the last year and have had a good experience…read moreeach time. Although CJ's was a much better restaurant from 1977-2005 when privately run by the Nickoloff family and took another quality hit when the otherwise excellent Landry's chain took over in 2010, the remaining locations, including this one, are still decent sit down, casual, and family dining restaurants. After visiting several times for lunch and dinner on both weekdays and weekends during both peak and non-peak hours, in our opinion, Yelpers who have complained about poor service both from servers and seaters as well as the seats being run down have not had a typical experience here. Although getting seated was a little slow on several of our visits, the people who seated did not have a bad attitude and on a few occasions it was our server. Although several of our servers here were friendly and attentive, Austin on our last visit, really did a good job. This is one of the only remaining CJ's that still has a salad bar and we have gotten it on several visits. We have also had the ribs and chicken pot pie at this location as well as some of their cocktails. Although it is sad that soup is no longer included in the salad bar, the food quality is still good and comparable to other renaming CJ locations such as in San Diego and Vegas (Henderson). This CJ's is located in a strip mall with limited parking and is across the street from Knott's Berry Farm. Parking can be difficult and the spaces are small, but we have always been able to find a spot so far. There are several other good restaurants in the area, but if you are visiting Knott's and want a sit down, casual, and family dining experience, this CJ's is a good choice and better than eating at Knott's--CJ's chicken pot pie is bigger and better than Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant. The 3.1 current Yelp average for this CJ's location is too low--it should be a 4 star. It cannot be a 5 star unless the return to the former quality and quantity the restaurant had under the Nickoloff family.

A favorite amongst the group was the beef intestine, which I've never had before and was pretty impressed by. It was super juicy and paired well with the scallions and sauce.
