After being a passholder for almost a year, I finally tried a corn dog! It was delicious. Surprisingly, the line wasn't too long being the day before the 4th of July. The corn dog is the perfect personal serving. For some reason, I thought it was going to be a huge one like at a county fair. The taste was wonderful, and so were the fries that went with it. I ordered the Hand Dipped Corn Dog Basket ($16.49). "A HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!" I'd scream. After three bites, I angrily flung it into the trashcan. "AGHHH!!!!!!!!" The corndog arrived lumpy, soggy, and oily. Its breading tasted poorly defrosted, lazily microwaved, and old. Its wrapped hot dog emerged painfully salty and artificial. An audible gag retched forward. Even more disgusting were its cold, stale, and chewy fries. Strictly On a Stick (Knott's Berry Farm) fed me garbage. I feel a burning, lurking darkness in my heart as I reflect on this frustrating experience. I arrived at Strictly on a Stick (Knott's Berry Farm) on Saturday (around 5:30PM). Line moved fairly quickly. It took six minutes to reach the counter. Staff is professional and pleasant. Staff worked quickly. My Hand Dipped Corn Dog Basket ($16.49) arrived in less than three minutes. So fast! Ambiance is non-existent. It's a food stall near Panda Express. Customers will need to wander a few minutes to find a place to eat. There's no music. It's just an unmemorable spot. Overall, Strictly on a Stick (Knott's Berry Farm) sells overpriced food that oozes with laziness and low-effort. I've only come here for their seasonal food. Once during the Christmas season to get a breakfast sausage corn dog and recently for fried frog legs. Other times when I passed by I've seen a decently long line, but each times for those visits, there was no wait. Food was made fresh, came out hot, and delicious. Very crispy. Tender meat. Fries were just standard fries at a mid level fast food spot. The frog legs we got came with super delicious garlicky horseradish sauce that my boyfriend insisted on keeping and savoring it later, so he got a lid and pocketed for the rest of the day. YES PLEASE We bought season passes when they had them on 30% off for Memorial day and got the meal plan...so Mama and I go every Tuesday for lunch and try a new spot! So far this has been our favorite but we were so hungry we inhaled our corn dogs with no picture We also do one ride Tuesday this week it was Calico mine ride! Right now it the Boysenberry festival at Knott's Farm the corn dog is cover with a boysenberry batter and come Boysenberry mustard. *Dining Season Pass Holder* It's a corn dog and some fries. You can either hit or miss on the portion of the fries depending on who's working that hour. Some are generous with their portions and some give you just enough to be borderline satisfied with your meal. It's a hand battered corn dog so it's fresh. Super quick review: - they are pretty fast! - because of this, the line moves fast! - their corn dogs are better than the ones at that other park in Anaheim. These ones are just the right size and not too big. - their fries are seasoned PERFECTLY!!! - everything and anything goes well with that Berry Punch! Excellent service!!! The only thing I might ding them on is the seating. The seating area closest to them faces the sun. Ugh! As an annual pass member, I never knew about this hidden gem until the Boysenberry Festival. This small walk-up window, located across from the log ride and next to the restrooms, offers a unique and delicious menu item: the boysenberry corn dog. The corn dog exceeded my expectations with its tasty and fresh seasoned fries, batter infused with boysenberry, and more sausage than batter. The corn to dog ratio was perfect for my taste. These appeared to be hand-dipped, not frozen or straight out of a box. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be returning to try it again if I'm craving a fulfilling snack to hold me over. read more

Saw Knotts advertising this food spot for the boysenberry corn dog. It's even on the Knotts app when you click for Strictly-On-A-Stick... Well we stopped by and unfortunately was told they don't carry this food item. So I asked if they had another boysenberry item that would be okay under the dining plan. They said they had fried cheese and a boysenberry sauce. I scanned my wristband and then was told after being handed the fried cheese they don't have any more sauce. So frustrated at the advertising and communication I took one bite and the food was terrible. It was barely fried and wasn't even worth using as a dining meal. We ended up tossing it and I don't think this little food spot will be on our list next time. read more

So disappointed! We were really looking forward to this - I mean fried cheese. On a stick. With waffle fries. Have mercy. But it's so unbearably salty... both the cheese and the waffle fries. And about that cheese - the dish would be better with better cheese. I'm not sure this isn't some sort of processed cheese food. Maybe only fake cheese will stand up to this treatment? There is a sort of unusual almost sweet spice taste that I think comes from the batter. It could be an accident of some other deep fried morsel being left in the fry basket, but that occasional hit of sweetness was much needed in the one note of fried salt. If you're going to do this - and you probably are - know that the basket is about $9 ($8 and some change), comes with waffle fries and will certainly feed two. Boysenberry Corn Dog Combo with Fries $12.99: I had to google this corn dog before ordering, because how is a corn dog boysenberry? The answer lies in the batter. But honestly, it didn't taste any different to me, despite the purplish color. It is an expensive corn dog, but it does come with a good amount of (mediocre) fries. It's $9.29 for a corn dog a la carte (no fries), which is the same price at Disney's Corn Dog Castle (although theirs comes with chips or apple slices). It was still a decent corn dog, even though it wasn't made fresh since it was ready immediately. We took it to the tables at the nearby Boardwalk BBQ, which had boysenberry bbq sauce and regular bbq sauce available in the self serve condiments area. We made it a combo with a boysenberry punch for $3.99 extra. It was very refreshing on that hot day. read more

I was the only customer and it took 20 min for my corn dog. I thought wow maybe its gonna be really good since it is taking so long. Nope it was crap. Tasted horrible. It's hard to not compare this to Disney's corn dogs, but they are unfortunately no where near as good. I'm not sure if it's the batter or something else. The BOYSENBERRY CORN DOG is a special they have occasionally and is a bit sweet. So adding that to the sweetness of the corn flavor, I wasn't a big fan. CHEESE CORN: When I ordered it, they used mozzarella cheese and gave you a side of marinara sauce. I thought this one was pretty good with that combo. I could tell it was made quite a while before I ordered it though and was almost cold when I got it. Their FRIES come with a seasoning salt which is a plus for me. Just remember to ask for none if it's not your thing. This place will cover your corn dog craving but isn't a favorite compared to others (OC Fair, Disney, etc). read more

Over all it was okay. We got the plain hand dipped corn dog with fries; nothing new or crazy impressive, definitely a really large hot dog inside covered in a huge amount of fried funnel cake dough. Went to the L.A. Fair this year. Figured all HOAS were the same. Not true. I found a bad one. So bad, that it made me want to come to Knott's and have a hot dog on a stick. I had one a few months back and, except for the breading coming loose, it was great!! So, here I am at Knott's, just having finished the hot dog on a stick combo meal. The dog is typically a one pounder, the breading a bit on the sweet side. Hot, juicy and the outside crispy. Perfect!! The fries that came with it weren't to bad, either! I gave a poor review of the Ghost Town bakery for poor service. But I believe Knott's has redeemed themselves with this great hot dog on a stick!! read more
