Entering this saloon, I was transported back to the 1800's. I visited here with 12 friends, and we had a great time, drinking and snacking while seated upstairs in this "saloon". Walking up the stairs, one could hear the creaking floorboards mimicking the sounds cowboys would hear back in the day. Great place to stop by in the park if you're looking for an alcoholic beverage. Upon entering you are transported into an old western saloon. There are two levels with seating. Sometimes they have shows going on too. I tried the Tavern Cherry which was one of their seasonal beverages. It had Coca Cola, sweet cherry syrup, and cold foam. You have an option to add whiskey to it which I decided to. I thought it was good and the cold foam added something to it. It was actually pretty refreshing. read more

It was about halfway through our Knott's Berry Farm day when we felt like grabbing a drink, so the Calico Saloon seemed like a fun option. I was immediately a fan based on their old timey doors, which I of course pushed my way into as though I were a legit cowboy. Once inside, I was impressed by the old west ambiance - including the long bar and the stage for performances. I decided to grab a local IPA and we headed to the upstairs seating area. It's a pretty cool atmosphere for enjoying a relaxing drink, and I can imagine it would be even cooler if a musical performance was going on. read more

I'm anticipating that by the time I'll be bringing my kids to their Snoopy pilgrimage, this adult watering hole will become my favorite place to relax and rest my feet with a delicious boysenberry drink. After riding some roller coasters , a nice cold alcoholic beverage sounds great. Took awhile to figure out a place to get one, but finally came across a worker , who guided us in the right direction. This is a cool saloon... line waiting outside , about a ten minute wait ... not bad. The menu is on the doors; so you can glance at it and have an idea what you want to order, when your called up. They do check id's , so be prepared. Bar tenders are very nice and friendly. Whipped up the drinks in no time. Tasty and refreshing boysenberry mojito- nice strong drink. The ipa was quenching and refreshing on a hot day. The saloon vibe is very appealing and the theme is on point. There's some table and chairs to sit at , and watch the entertainment on the stage , behind the bar. This is a nice place to take a break, cool - down and relax in between rides . read more

This place is epic. Definitely one of my favorite places in the entire park and I ALWAYS make at least one stop here. I mean, it is a saloon and I am a lush so we are a match made in heaven. Decent selection of brews here (Goose Island among others) and if you are a beer drinker AND ever have the opportunity to stop in, do so!!! If for no other reason than to try the Boysenberry Beer. It'll rock your socks off. Grab a couple and meander merrily throughout the park. My guess is you'll stop back in. I do. Yelp just wont let me check in twice!!! Prices are typical "amusement park" prices so a beer here isn't cheap. But they are cold, flavorful and refreshing. A boozer like me can't ask for much more than that!!! read more

My company's summer event took place at Knott's. My boss and coworkers wanted some cold, refreshing beer to help cool down in the crazy heat. We settled on Calico Saloon for its boysenberry beer because it's one of the boysenberry products that Knott's is known for. The saloon is cute with that wild west vibe. However, the boysenberry beer was just not amazing. We don't taste the boysenberry at all. If we did, the flavor was hardly recognizable on our tongues. Yes, it was cold beer and it got the job done, but the beer was also only slightly carbonated. It became flat very quickly. For $12/cup, the boysenberry beer was definitely lacking. There's no difference between regular beer and boysenberry beer that day. read more

The Calico Saloon is probably my new favorite spot inside Knott's! I've been to Knott's tons of time and, yet, I never before knew about Calico Saloon! I'd been missing out! The bartenders are very nice and the drinks are plentiful. The show is great - very entertaining and not too long, not too short...just right! We had some laughs and enjoyed the musical numbers. We especially liked that the actors interacted with some members of the audience throughout the show...that was a neat touch! Of course, not everything was great. There are no napkins on the tables and, speaking of tables, there aren't very many so you might have to wait around until one clears up. Also, the pickles aren't the best quality and it would be great if they sold a better brand. Overall, though, we had a great time at the Calico Saloon and I'll be stopping by every time I'm at Knott's! read more

Horrible customer service. 7 people in line continues to wipe down counter instead of calling the next guest. Went in with no mask stood in line for 6 minutes to then hear them say you need a mask to be here. "We won't be able to serve you otherwise" mind you park dose t require masks if fully vaccinated. Asked them to provide me with one... they can't provide me with one. So wait now it "no mask no service???" Get a f* life! read more

They sell beer here & Sarsaparilla for the grommets! If you don't know what Sarsaparilla is its kinda like the Old Wests version of root beer. This past visit they only had Budweiser, BudLight, for around $10 & ShockTop for $1 more. This is one of the only permanent places inside Knotts that sells beer that automaticity deserves full stars! They also have a few snack foods you can order here but if your going to come here just get beer I mean come on you know how good it's going to taste after you've been chillin in the sun for most of the day dealing with those pesky kids wanting to see Snoopy. They also have the Calico Saloon Show here it pretty much consists of your typical old school saloon show with a piano it was definitely quite enjoyable to watch wile I sipped on my beer. We will definitely be hitting this watering hole up on one of the next visits to Knotts! read more

Great to be able to have an alcoholic beverage while at an amusement park. This is the place to get a beer or a glass of wine. Came here to try the boysenberry draft beer for $10.29. They also have craft, domestic draft and import beers; sodas, bottled water, popcorn and pickles. Ordered the boysenberry beer and sat up in the balcony to watch the 2:00 PM performance. The seating is pretty limited and if you sit in the back tables in the balcony you will not be able to view the show. Very cute love story between Cameo and Dan. A lot of fun audience participation. The piano player, Fingers, was funny. The beer was very refreshing but I was hoping for more hints of the boysenberry flavor. Still nice draft beer. Maybe I needed to pair the draft with a pickle. read more

The Calico Saloon is one of those unique facets of Knott's Berry Farm that makes Knott's what it is. Thankfully, Cedar Fair didn't close it down, raze all of Ghost Town, and turn it into yet another roller coaster. First, get your expectations right. This is a watering hole, no food beyond snacks. The time to go is when the show happens. When I went many years ago, there were two shows that alternated. Last week, there was only one show, so you get a dressed-up man singer with corny jokes, a fancy woman singer with a surprisingly good voice, and two cancan dancers who could kick over their heads, accompanied by piano and drums. Good, clean, cheesy fun. It's not a huge production, but in 1886, they didn't have big productions, and Knott's Ghost Town is living history. It's okay if you miss it, but you and the kids are likely to enjoy it if you go. Getting out of the hot Orange County sun is a good reason to go in! read more

There are a few times where you get a bad bartender and today is one of them Joshua had helped me out with some beers and water, unfortunately we forget the water when I approached Joshua for the water he denied ever serving me and I asked him to call the manager he called Sandro I understood him saying Sergio and after we verified that Joshua had helped me out before I said "thank you Sergio" and he stated, that.... Is not my name" once I confirmed his name I said thank you Sandro." The service was very unprofessional just because I had complained that they didn't accept my ID. Ever since I turned 21 Calico Saloon is my new favorite spot. I love the Boysenberry Beer and Wine drinking it while having entertainment in the saloon. You do get a wristband that says ID checked so that security knows that your at least 21 and over but they may still ask for ID. They don't just have adult beverages here they have boysenberry soda, Sarsaparilla and sodas to refill your souvenir cups if you have one. read more

The Calico Saloon is a must stop location inside of Knott's Berry Farm if you need to take a break and have a drink. Children are welcome and there is just enough seating. They have a stage and every hour or so they have a nice 30-minute show that was very funny. The bar serves a couple different kinds of beers included in IPA and wine. Next time we go to Knott's Berry Farm we will definitely hit up the Calico Saloon again. read more

It's hard to believe that I'm the first person reviewing this restaurant inside a famous theme park! Well, to start off, this is not the best place I've ever eaten. The service was a bit slow, but then we also were rushed for time. I ordered a chicken caesar salad (an attempt at being healthy, hahahaha). It was actually better than I would have expected. This is the only place where I was able to find IPA beer inside of Knott's Berry Farm. I wasn't sure which ipa to get so I asked the bartender to give us the strongest one, it was pretty strong and had a good taste. The inside of this place has like an old western bar vibe and they provided us with yellow wristbands so we don't have to always be carded. They have shows here too with women dancing, I'll be back to check that out! read more

The cashier and what I assume was supposed to be the bartender struggled to engage. Like it was painful to watch, the misery and boredom was so heavy I felt depressed for them. I liked the boysenberry beer. Wouldn't call it love. Think more of a medium like. Mainly because it was cold and beer. The Calico Saloon is a nice retreat during a hot day at Knotts Berry Farm. It is located across from the train ride. They serve alcohol, soda, popcorn, etc. and it is best to get there around 15 minutes before show time in order to secure a good seat. If you are the shy type I would not sit in the middle on the first floor as you may be called up to participate in the show (I know from experience ha). The show is funny and my kids enjoyed it although once you have seen it there is really no reason to ever go back unless you are trying to escape the heat. read more
