Tried the spicy sausage for the first time and the corn on the cob. The spicy sausage was actually not bad. The outside did taste a little burnt, but I did like that it actually was spicy! I do wish the corn on the cob side had tajin. That would be a nice addition to their condiments. I have the meal plan and this was a good meal as it's filling and a great value. The line wasn't crazy long yesterday, Sunday early evening, but seating is always tricky here. It's always busy but we got lucky to find a table. I still have core memories from the smell of the BBQ and how packed it used to get. A couple people in our party decided to eat there, so we just followed and I didn't think anything of it. I don't know why I didn't check the reviews. It's not like me to skip yelp. In case you're wondering, they are an option for food pass holders. There are a good amount of picnic tables behind the little shack of a restaurant and attached to that back wall is a handwashing station. What we ordered. All came with one side for the food pass. 1) spicy sausage - I chose "roasted veggies". These were NOT roasted. More like baked to sogginess, unseasoned and bland. The bread was too thick for the sausage in my opinion. I took the sausage out and decided to just eat it with the veggies. The sausage wasn't bad. It's "spicy" but it's mild...I wouldn't trust my leveling of the heat cause I like mine hot. 2) 1/4 chicken - one of the kids chose corn on the cob and the other a baked potato. They were fine and satisfied with this. They said the chicken was good and wasn't dry at all. 3) steak sandwich - ordered with corn on the cob. One of the kids said they thought it was a little dry. When I tried it, the meat was not only dry but hard. For sure, this option is a no no for us ever again. He was just starving and going to town and was almost finished by the time I realized the issue. Would I come back? Eh. Not sure. I ordered the BBQ Steak Sandwich ($18.99), and I ended up tossing it partially eaten into the trashcan. I arrived at Fireman's Brigade Barbecue (Knott's Berry Farm) on Saturday (around 3PM). The line was extremely long and slow. It took 19 minutes to reach the counter. The outer area lacks shade, so searing scathing sun lovingly burns your face as you wait. Staff is monotone and efficient. They moved robotically while poorly explaining the ordering process. They call people up by numbers, yet several customers around me had to ask repeatedly where those numbers were on their receipt. The BBQ Steak Sandwich ($18.99) arrived very quickly. It took three minutes and six seconds. This expensive sandwich had dry, thin, and soft meat. It tastes like cheap cuts that were "tenderized heavily" so it could be more edible. Its dolloped barbecue sauce came sweet, and its bread was spongey and squishy. It tasted like a poor imitation of a drier McDonalds "McRib." The ambiance was sh*t. Literally. The smell of horse manure and animal droppings lingered in the background. The tables had bad shade, so most tables were cooking in the sun. Also, it felt dirty like a barn. Stopped by on Saturday, 05/17/25 for the Boysenberry Festival with my boyfriend! We also bought the $34.99 all-day dining pass, which was TOTALLY WORTH IT! Every 90 minutes, you get a meal from the list of places that are part of the plan. You would have to time yourself FYI! I would recommend only getting one pass and you can share your meal with another person. We stopped by this place 2x. Shrinkflation hit this place like everywhere else. Maybe 10 years ago it was a good portion size and worth the money, but at $20 before tax for 1/2 a small chicken, it's a hard sell. If it was only the smaller portion, it would be one thing, but the chicken itself wasn't very good - overcooked, tough, rubbery at parts. The BBQ sauce itself was pretty tame. I got the Cole Slaw as a side, and it was pretty terrible. It was closer to a salad than a Cole Slaw - it needed more mayo/sugar, as otherwise it was just dry and bland. Overall, not worth it. We wanted to grab dinner in Ghost Town (soooo pretty at Christmas), and ended up here. We had eaten here before, but it's been a long time. I feel like we have rediscovered a great place. There are quite a few choices, including smoked turkey leg, barbecue chicken, pulled pork, spicy sausage, and hot dogs. The good thing about this place is that you can choose your sides. Other hot dog places just give you fries, but here you can choose cole slaw ( it's good!), baked potato, corn on the cob, Texas toast, or grilled veggie skewer. We split the pulled pork sandwich and spicy sausage, and both were really good. For sides, we chose veggie skewer, corn on the cob, cole slaw, and baked potato. They gave us a lot of butter and sour cream. We also got two pieces of Texas toast, thick slices of yummy grilled bread topped with butter and garlic. The dark meat on the bbq chicken is good, breast was pretty dry and needed to be drenched in the BBQ sauce, which was pretty mids. They should roast the corn instead of boil it. Skip the slaw unless you want plain cabbage and carrots. The garlic bread is basically just a piece of toast. Overall I love the camp site vibe that they have at night and this was probably the best choice for dinner in the park, which is why I almost gave 4 stars but I would probably just leave the park to eat dinner next time instead of come back here because it was bland and expensive. read more

I have the meal pass and I have chosen this spot a couple times. Although I feel like what we receive is overpriced, it still fills me up and my kids like the garlic toast. The good 1. Pulled Pork Sandwich - This actually had great flavor and was moist. The bun was alright but the star was the pulled pork. They gave a decent amount and we finished this quickly! The food isn't cooked before hand and that adds to the freshness. It is grilled in front of your face after you order. The best deal from this location seems to be a combo plate. Some days the meat is amazing!! And some days you get the dried burnt pieces and end up not eating the meat. Todays turkey leg was ON POINT - perfectly tender and moist. My kids devoured it. But the 1/4 chicken - we got two little drumsticks and one thigh. Both drumsticks were pretty much dried and burnt. Couldn't even chew through the meat ... the thigh was just the same but less burnt. Our usual go-to spot at Knott's is the Boardwalk BBQ which has delicious tri-tip and sides, but we decided to change it up a little so we went to Fireman's Brigade Barbecue. We feel that we get more 'bang for our buck' from our meal plan at both places. The rib meal at the Fireman's Brigade was about $22 which most people might think is a bit spendy, but with the meal plan, it doesn't seem too bad. My hubby and I split the 2 rib meal and had the baked potato as our side. Since we have the meal plan, our meal did not come with the garlic bread (*I'm not sure why - ??), but that was ok. The baked potato was a perfect side dish to have with our ribs. We really enjoyed the meal - the ribs were tasty, I just felt like it could use a little more sauce - and the baked potato was baked perfectly! And they had butter and sour cream available. The Fireman's Brigade also has corn on the cob, which looked really good. One of my favorite places to eat lunch or dinner. If you have an Unlimited Food Pass with Knott's Season Pass, this is a great deal. You can eat the first meal and after four hours, you can eat again or take it home. Each dish has a great portion, flavor, smokiness, etc. The line goes really quick and the clerk is diligent on getting the customers' need. One of the drawbacks is that they are so popular that some of the items are always out of stock early so you probably want to stay in the line when they open or even before. They will serve the food on a plate and refuse to pack it for to-go. Instead, they will either hand you an aluminum foil or a to-go container so you pack it, which I never understood. They don't have a vinyl bag to provide so don't even bother to ask. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches/chairs around the restaurant so you won't have a problem finding a seat. Near the picnic area, you can find condiment station and a sink where you can wash your hands, which is convenient. So this the second time I have had food from this spot in the park. If I have a craving for bbq, I'll come here. Their flank steak sandwich is pretty good but I think I'll ask for more sauce and to grill up the bread next time. My son enjoyed the smoked sausage on bun. I tried a bite of it and it has the *snap* I was looking for and it was juicy. The turkey leg, my daughter didn't care for. It looked like it was under cooked but it wasn't. Next time I'll get her the rotisserie chicken. Anyway, if you wonder about this place, it's a must. But get here when they open at 11a because the line can be 45min wait during the day. Once again, purchased a dining plan for $33, you can eat all day long. You can get your meal every 90 mins. This is our third and fourth meal. Lol!!! The BBQ Ribs doesn't look appetizing, but it tasted really good. The Turkey Legs are must have, it never go wrong, tasted like a smoked ham. We are so full and we are done for the day. Overall, we paid $33 for four meals and if you pay in full price for each of the meals approximately cost $16.50. The Staff are friendly and attentive. Everyone knows that amusement parks often just serve hot dogs, cheap frozen pizza, cheap burgers, cheap chicken fingers, and french fries. This eatery actually has better food that stands on its own. Keep in mind that the retail cost is expensive; however, they accept the meal plan. So, then it is a better deal. I would not recommend eating anywhere in the park unless you have the meal plan. The other disadvantage of this place is that the line can get really long. The workers really hustle, but since it is just a small building, and they accept the meal plan, you can easily have a 45 minute wait. But they often offer entertainment, and the time I went was a banjo-guitar duo. They were really top notch. I have to say that this type of entertainment is a rare find. read more

Customer service, we have season passes including food, I asked for the most expensive meal, she Told me it was the nine dollar meal. Either she's really unexperienced or didn't care. When my daughter didn't want her corn, she went up to The service counter, and asked for a different side. And The request fell on deaf ears. So putting it all together it gets a three. It could've been a five, and it could've been a one. The ambience which is Knotts berry farm, was obviously wonderful. But I don't know who would pay 18 or $19 outside of the park for what we got. My friend got the ribs (didn't get to take a picture of it before they devoured it) and said it was very good. As with all things entertainment park, this being inside Knott's Berry Farm, the food can be on the expensive side. I am not necessarily going to critique that aspect, as I CHOSE to pay the prices posted. I ordered the Flank Steak Sandwich plate with a side of coleslaw, as well as what they described as Texas cheese toast. The counter service employees where you order are separated from the main cooking area and I watched as they cooked my pre-portioned flank steak for the sandwich. I asked them if they would cut in half for me and was told they had NO knives available to do this and that I could use one of the plastic knife utensils provided. WTF, they don't allow their employees to have a knife in this area? Whatever... Upon receiving my plate I was pretty disappointed by the cheese toast, especially at the price paid (okay, I just complained about a price point - sorry). Not only did it look pretty sad, but it had no decent taste on top of it! The sandwich was just doable to my palate, but definitely could have been better. Even the sauce provided did not really amp it up much. The coleslaw was the best part of this meal, but the wife liked it more than I did.
