    Small Chicken Parm Sub ($10.95)
    Lorel H.

We decided that we wanted to try a new sports bar, so we came here on a Thursday night around 6:30. It was packed but we got seated pretty quickly. Our server got to us almost as soon as we sat down and was very attentive the whole time despite it being super busy. I ordered a Trash Can ($12) while Ryan ordered a Yuengling ($4). I've never had a trash can where they filled the cup up with alcohol and served the Red Bull on the side, they for sure gave you your moneys worth and it was really good. For dinner I ordered the Stubboli ($10.95), which is the smaller version of their Stromboli, and Ryan ordered a small Chicken Parm Sub ($10.95). The Stromboli was very good, it had ham, salami, a ton of cheese, and mustard which always makes a Stromboli better. The Chicken Parm sub was one of the best we've had in our area! The bread actually held up and didn't get soggy from the sauce and they loaded it with chicken. It could have used a little bit more sauce but that was remedied by dipping it in my side marinara from my Stromboli. Overall, the prices here are great and you definitely get your moneys worth. It's a great place to watch any sports game that's playing they've got TV's lining the walls playing them all. We will for sure be back!!

Unfortunately, I have to give them 1 start at this point. I have dined-in multiple times and always pretty good with attentive staff and tasty food, at the Olde Hickfory location. However, back to back terrible take-out experiences are leading to this review at this location, and lack of accountability. Both times I have ordered the same items for takeout, both times, terrible food. I ordered the 20 dollar extra large North Side Steak and Cheese with NO Steak Sauce (not sure why marinara would go on a sub anyway). First time I got home opened it up and the sub was to wet that you couldn't pick it up, and it fell apart the steak was overcooked and sub wasn't toasted, on top of it having sauce on it I asked not to be on it. Tonight, I though I would give another chance.... See pictures, instead of no steak sauce, they added steak sauce, half filled the sub, and didn't include the onions. I even checked it at the restaurant, and told them the issue about the steak sauce, let them know this happened last time... if I wanted to wait 15 minutes with my kids in the car, they would re-make it. I said I didn't have time and told them this is the second time this has occurred and I didn't want to pay for it, they ran my card already, and said they would have a manager call. Why couldn't the manager talk to me at the time... Other item I ordered Cheese pizza with mushrooms, well done. See pictures.. half the pizza has mushrooms, not well done, and looks like they probably just threw the mushrooms on top after cooking a regular pizza (not well done). Since I hadn't received a call from a manager I called them, got put on hold, and then hung up after 3 minutes of waiting. No call back. With such good in restaurant food and service, I would not go back for either take out or in house dining because of this. $65 each for a pizza with mushrooms, salad, chicken fingers and half an extra large sub made incorrectly. Would welcome a call back from the manager, you guys took my number.

Comfortable, like a small town pub, yet managed like a first class establishment. Kudos to the staff for great service.

Although it is a small restaurant there is plenty of seating and a nice bar area as well. Our server was so accommodating and polite. My wife got their regular burger and it was cooked to her liking. Eventhough it was not cooked how I prefer, it still tasted good! The fries tasted very very good! I love a shoestring fry! Unfortunately, they charge an extra 6 dollars to upgrade from chips to fries with their burger. The mozzarella sticks were out of this world. This was a very good bang for your buck. Homemade and handbreaded, they were massive. You get two for 8 dollars. The prices here are very high. To put it in perspective, if you go here and get two burgers, upgrade to fries for both burgers, and get two waters, your bill is going to be $48 dollars plus tax.... The decor and scenery in here is incredible! It looks awesome. The seating is very limited. Make sure you get a reservation ahead of time. We went at 430 and about half the tables were blocked off for reservations. Would definitely like to come back here and try different items, every dish that went by looked delicious!

Stopped in to Mad Chef unexpectedly while traveling through Lancaster…read more My wife and I were hungry and tired from traveling through Pennsylvania. Thankfully Mad Chef was open later than most places so we got in before the kitchen closed. I enjoyed the low lighting with the brewery equipment shining in the background. Having the Phillies game on the tv's only added to our experience. Our drinks and food were excellent. I always like to enjoy a local craft beer, having it paired on site with fabulous eats is even better. I ordered Mr Dynamite Brown, their American brown ale which was fabulous. We ordered a small Pommes Frites (French fries) that were cooked in Canola oil. While light in color, these fries were cooked to perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside, salted just right. My wife ordered the pretzel and said it was her type, buttery, salty, and doughy. I ordered the Korean Pork Nachos, by far the best nachos I've ever had the pleasure to devour. I can't begin to describe how well the roasted corn poblano medley brought this plate together. Every bite had an explosion of flavor with the Korean glaze and Gochujang aioli. This dish blows Guy Fieri's trash can Brisket nachos out of the water. If ever in Lancaster don't pass up on the Mad Chef Craft Brewing gem.

Their specials are all revolving around the Masters which was unique! We tried the Pimento, Fried Green Tomato, Chicken Sandwich (The Pimento Birdie). This was a delicious sandwich that just screams Georgia! We also tried the Madfather Chicken Sandwich! Pesto, Vodka Sauce, Mozzarella, this thing was outstanding! The fries are always a highlight here! We got the bucket (had a bigger group) and it came with 3 sauces. 1 tiny little knock on the fry bucket....the entire bucket was not filled with fries. The bottom of the fry bucket had about an inch or 2 of crinkled up paper..... All of the food was outstanding. The beer was good. Tons of space and seating. Very easy ordering process. Go up to the counter, tell them your table number, and your food arrives shortly! Prices are high here! Expect a larger number on your check if consuming both food and alcohol!

I've visited this place twice now and usually I'm not too inspired to write a review, but my visit…read morelast night really showed how much I enjoy the general vibe and especially the food of this place. When you enter this place its at ground level and immediately you recognize you need to take the stairs up. Once you usher yourself up it opens up to two areas where you wait to be seated. The place is an older vintage like gastropub where the front is one bar and some seating, but on the backside is more open seating with where the band and another bar are situated. This place isn't meant to be for large groups, but could possibly accommodate groups of 6. The main bar which also next to the kitchen is an older vintage style bar and whisky's is nothing special but once you sit down and hear the music you settle in nicely. Service has always been courteous and prompt and the menu looks like there are a good assortment of choices. The two times I've been here I've ordered the mussels which includes great sauce and spread with seasoned ground meet. Was so yummy! The second time I came I tried the CHICKEN FRICASSEE. Man was that great! It includes 4 pieces of bread, chicken and the mushroom sauce. So good! Both times I had some of their assortment of single scoop ice-cream which in this area, something about the milk from their amish cows is so creamy. All that said, this is one of my fav places to come enjoy a glass of wine and food. Oh and Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday's they have some instrumental band playing too.

In a recent visit to Lancaster I did some searching online for places to eat and followed the recommendations to the Horse Inn. Sooo happy we did!! The food was amazing. Hats off to the owners and chefs! Only bad thing is we don't live close by and we can't go back soon. But we will be back!! Special mention to our wonderful fun server, Luis, who made the experience even better for us! Give that guy a raise. THANK YOU!!

Beirhall has coloring pages available by the door which is nice for families with kids, as well. There is also an outdoor seating area that is pebbled and has some lawn games available like corn hole. Their chicken schnitzel is really good as well as their nachos. Everyone at our table loved their meals. I wish the brewery provided more instruction when you come in. The first time we came in, no one was around to greet us and we didn't know how things worked. Finally we sat and waited and then realized you order via a bar code. I think they could benefit from some low, vibey music. Both times we have come, it's been very quiet, almost like a library. Everyone has been hushed around their tables and or watching tv. It's a bit odd, like a library that sells beer. Otherwise the food is pretty good and the are cold & crisp. I haven't had a ton of interaction with staff because they kind of just drop the food off and move on, but when we have interacted they have been friendly. This place is a cool addition to the area and a good spot for a yummy meal, cold beer and a relaxed night.
