The service is consistent and the food keeps getting better. This is a real chill location in downtown Kalamazoo. No bells or whistles just good food and good service. I have been eating here for years. The vegan options keep expanding. Loving it!

A Hole in the Wall in all the best ways. This place very much feels like a small town cafe. In addition it has a pinch of WMU flair. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger ($11.63). The burger is stuffed with BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese, topped off with more BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese and bacon. I made a substitution of Chipotle Bbq sauce instead of regular. This may have been the best burger I've ever had. Absolutely Top 5. Maybe not the largest burger, but it's mighty tasty. The fries were also very good and crunchy. The service was excellent and everyone was super friendly. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? Absolutely! That burger was amazing. They have some very unique stuffed burgers, including a Blueberry Burger. I don't live close, but I will be back.

LOVED my burger. Super friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is a little small on the inside but don't let that deter you as they are very fast an. Would definitely stop by here again for a bite to eat. Also recommend their Serrano in house hot sauce!

I've had Studio Grill on my list of places to try in Kalamazoo for quite awhile, so I was excited to stop in recently while in town. The menu is large and includes breakfast favorites, lunch items, and a vegetarian/vegan menu. They're known for their stuffed burgers, but it was pretty early on a Sunday and breakfast is my favorite meal. I ordered the Studio omelette (Bacon, Swiss cheese, sautéed onion, green pepper and tomato) with a side of their homemade serrano pepper sauce. Our food came out pretty quickly and everything looked good. At first I thought the portions seemed kind of small, but after I ate everything, I was completely stuffed! The omelette was nicely cooked with no browning, which I really appreciate. I'm not a huge omelette person so it was nice to get one that was closer to a French omelette rather than a big fluffy omelette you usually would see at a chain spot. The potatoes were quite tasty, which was also great because I find they can be hit or miss. I'm super glad I ordered the side of the serrano sauce - it added a big hit of spice to everything. The heat isn't overbearing but it definitely builds. I actually ended up buying a jar of it to give to my brother as a gift. Our server was polite and quick with refills, and I appreciated seeing the owner (or at least I assume it was the owner) out there helping serve and bus tables as well. At the cash register I saw some treats from 13 Cookies that I'd overheard someone talking about so I picked up a few of those - they were delicious! I'm definitely keeping an eye out for them next time I'm in the area. Nice little breakfast/lunch spot with vegetarian options and something for everyone. The space isn't huge so there is likely a wait during peak times, but I'd go back.

This is a good neighborhood restaurant. Nothing too fancy. Friendly workers. FYI The menu picture is pretty old so it is probably not accurate!

A small local restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. it's open seven days a week from 7 AM until 2:30 PM (no dinners). They have a great selection of omelettes and other breakfast food, which is available all day, including very interesting cinnamon roll and blueberry muffin pancakes. They also do very nice salads and a great selection of unique hamburgers and serve their homemade raspberry and strawberry jam. I stayed in Kalamazoo all of last week, eating lunch there every day, and was never disappointed. I had five different omelettes (the Painter's Sink was my favorite - think loaded with everything), and the sausage hash was also excellent (they feature unique combinations such as chorizo hash). The staff is very friendly and the owner is very attentive, having stopped by the table every day we were there to make sure everything was satisfactory. I have to go back for a couple of days at the end of this week, and will absolutely be eating lunch there both days!

Hands down the best burgers in town! Stuffed burgers are their thing and you'll want to come hungry! The burgers are fresh, made to order, stuffed with whatever goodies they've thought up on their menu. The berry delicious burger was mouth watering. Literally!! I was so full but now way was I leaving any amount of that burger on my plate! The sweet potato fries were crispy and hot. Nothing about my meal was bad! I've been many times and always had a great experience!

Amazing place. I lived in Kalamazoo for 10 years, yet never stopped in here since I worked in Portage. Breakfast was creative, a sweet/savory hash with eggs. Charming server. Owner made the rounds and chatted with every table. Looks like a great choice for lunch too.

Awesome breakfast food! Fast friendly service. I had a create your own omelet with mushrooms and cheddar, a side of bacon and an English muffin. They had homemade jelly that was excellent. My wife had the sausage hash with eggs added. She really enjoyed her meal and she's not a morning eater! The manager even walked over to check on our meal. Wonderful.

Small but local quaint in a good way. Food was decent, service was good but she was hustling many tables. A safe bet for downtown breakfast.

Ask the Community - Studio Grill

Is breakfast served all day or does it stop at a certain time?

We serve our breakfast and lunch all day long.

Are there table servers, or is this a place where you order at a counter and fetch your food from the counter?

    We are full service

    Are there vegan options?

There are indeed vegan options. The soy Chorizo Farm House Hash is good, but the vegan pancakes are the BEST thing they serve - better than non-vegan options.

We had a really great waitress, I wish I would have gotten her name! She was doing the job of hostess and waitress to multiple tables, and doing it all very well! We ordered a chicken sandwich and a salad for our lunch entrees! Both were very good and presented very well! While the food is good and quality feels high - the price is also on the high side. For a sandwich and a salad, waters to drink, we spent over $50 for our lunch! Just something to be aware of! While we had time - the experience was not fast. Something to be aware of if needing a quick lunch. The restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was a little long to receive our order. I ordered a salmon salad - the menu nor the website specify if the salmon is wild caught or farmed. I would really love to know this information - the price would be much better reflected if it were indeed wild caught. :)

The steaks were cooked well and tasted great. We also really enjoyed the bread and dips, which were a nice way to start the meal. At the beginning of our visit, it felt like the waitstaff wasn't fully prepared to accommodate a larger group, and service was a bit slow. However, they seemed to adjust as the evening went on and did a much better job taking care of us later. The ramen was just okay and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes we tried. Overall, the steaks, bread and dips made the meal worthwhile. While there were some service hiccups at first, the staff recovered well, and we left having enjoyed our experience.

The kids disappeared into the games so fast I briefly considered filing a missing persons report before realizing they were just... happy. As a parent, I experienced something I hadn't felt in years: finishing an entire meal while it was still warm. I almost cried. The pizza is offensively good. My cardiologist has specifically asked me not to be tagged in any more of my Yelp reviews, but if you're reading this, Steve... mind your own business. Some relationships are worth fighting for, and mine with this pizza is one of them. The beer was fantastic. Every pint tasted like it was brewed by someone who actually enjoys making beer instead of someone trying to impress a guy named Chad who owns three flannel shirts and says things like, "I'm getting notes of pine and emotional unavailability." The place is huge, which is exactly what every parent dreams of. The kids sprinted off to the games, the dog made about 47 new friends, and for a glorious 20 minutes nobody asked me to open a juice box, settle a courtroom-level dispute over whose turn it was, or inspect a mysterious object they found on the floor. I wasn't parenting anymore. I was just a guy eating incredible pizza in public. One Well somehow found the perfect balance between brewery, family hangout, dog park, and therapy session.
