However, he put two balls of different sizes in my brow (and irritated the area with a lot of unnecessary pulling), then ghosted me when I asked to either have the jewelry changed to the correct size or be refunded. They also make you pay and tip on card up front--again, never seen that before. Shady vibe. Would not return.

Pros: Price: The tattoo that I received cost $160 (pre tip). They ask for a deposit of 50% in advance, and then have you pay the rest onsite. I believe that $160 is the minimum price for any tattoo here. Tripp provided me with a quote in advance, per my request, and was very prompt and direct about the pricing as soon as I provided him with an example of what I wanted, which I really appreciated. I initially felt like this price was a bit high, however I called several highly rated tattoo parlors in the area, and this was the lowest price for my simple tattoo. So comparatively, this place checks out, price-wise! I am glad I paid to have it done at Wasteland, as the experience was incredible. Accuracy: The tattoo was executed exactly as I requested-- I couldn't have asked for it to be any more accurate, honestly. I asked a lot of beginner, kinda silly questions, but never felt belittled, and felt like I was being taken seriously and really cared for just in the way that my questions were addressed. Both artists were chatting with us while working, and my friend and I were getting tattooed at the same time, which made it even more fun. Sam mentioned he travels to Scranton, PA for the tattoo convention there, so we ended up talking about Pennsylvania and where we're from. It felt relaxed and personal instead of rushed. We waited over an hour just to be helped, then the apprentice seemed annoyed that we were asking about jewelry prices. Sorry for wanting to know what we're paying for? Some pieces were $300-$370 each, which I understand because it's solid gold, but the way we were treated when we didn't want to spend that much made us feel judged and uncomfortable. The actual piercing process was also not great. The piercer smelled strongly like cigarettes while working on my ear (not exactly comforting), and he was really rough with my friend's piercing and kept bumping into her other piercings during the process. Overall the welcoming vibe disappeared FAST and the whole experience felt awkward and judgmental.
