We went to the location on SW Pine Island Rd in Cape Coral. Not a mask in sight. It's like the pandemic didn't exist. We traveled almost 40 minutes to try this bagel place that we heard such great things about. If it were not for the fact that my husband and I were fully vaccinated, we would have hightailed it right out of there. Not a single customer or staff member wore a mask. (actually, I stand corrected ...the woman who waited on us did have one hanging down around her chin!‍) My husband and I kept our masks on, and got in and out as quickly as possible. On top of that, the bagels were average,at best. Definitely nothing special. Even the salmon cream cheese left us a little disappointed.‍ Not so great bagels, I can deal with. But ignoring safety measures during a pandemic? Nope. read more

Been coming to this place for years and always forget to leave a review. Best bagel shop in Florida by far. So many places open up down here claiming to have NY bagels but these people do it right. Bagels have great flavor and the breakfast sandwiches are out of this world. No sponge like microwaved egg just freshly cooked fried eggs and great meat options like bacon and Taylor Pork Roll. Authentic Jersey style bagel shop! The bagels are huge, and perfectly crisp on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The food was good but the service was terrible. We came in to this as new customers. As I was trying to order the women kept leaving in the middle of my order. I had to tell her 3 times I'm not done with my order. Then as I was sitting down enjoying my bagel and watching whatever they had on their television they were 10 minutes away from closing and turned the tv off that we were watching(knowing that we were watching it) then the women stood at the door and stared at us as if we were a burden to be sitting inside eating even though they were not closed yet. She stood there until we left and then locked the door. Like I said, food goo, service was not. Will not be returning :( read more

Went here once and it's a solid breakfast joint. Probably the closest to a NY bagel I have had outside of Long Island. Call ahead on some days to make sure you get some food. Can't wait to try more items! Next one is the turnpike which is what they are famous for. read more

Great bagels! But even better- the cream cheese!! We were on vacation and the house we were renting had a menu for this place. Sounded good one morning so we sent someone to get breakfast. She came back very excited and had loved the atmosphere and said everyone was nice. I had ordered a Jersey Turnpike and absolutly loved it! The bagels were a hit with all. So, of course we went back later in the week. This time we got a dozen bagels and some of their scallion cream cheese. To quote the youngsters - OMG! That was the best cream cheese I had ever eaten! Was enjoyed for days! This is one place we will visit again when in the area. read more

Well I'll be damned if that isn't one of the best bagels I've ever had in my friggin life.

Noticed a little sign for the place while we were leaving the Bank of America drive-thru, and since we were familiar with the Pine Island location we HAD to stop! We got there at the perfect time, we were able to order our food quickly and got it in just a few minutes. As we started to eat a longer line started forming and you could tell that the staff is still a bit unorganized since a few seemed to be standing around lost while others were running around to make sure everyone got what they need. Overall very good though - we both got bacon, egg, and cheese bagel sandwiches and really enjoyed them. Coffee was standard..good, not great. I'm sure we will be back to this location when in the area. read more

I tried to go into the store today. Several employees were right out side the front door smoking cigarettes. I was only able to take one breathe before I had to turn around and go back to my car. The stench was disgusting. I didnt want to risk getting cancer from second hand smoke with my breakfast. If they do that openly by the front door I can only imagine what they do in the kitchen. I will be avoiding this place. I find it repulsive. read more

Every once in awhile, you get the urge to visit your neighborhood coffee/ bagel/pastry shop........it's that irresistible calling to give you that desperately needed morning boost. Now, I've known this store for years and only recently have I been inside.......and I'm so glad for the experience. The offerings are very good with fast, friendly, efficient service, usually interspersed with friendly chatter and banter. The coffee aroma wakes you up and the expertly prepared food gives you that lift to start your commute. All I can say is, stop on down. They'll treat you like family. This place makes my hubby Nostalgic he is a New Yorker and when you go in the memorabilia of New York on the walls makes you feel like your there the owner is so nice and so are the servers now let's get to the food FANTASTIC!!! You must Try "The Southern" number 12 on the board with egg whites wow so delicious. And if you in the mood for a sweet bagel try the plain toast bagel with the maple Walnut cream Cheese my goodness it's heaven but it's messy grab extra napkins. Being from New York and looking for a good bagel we came. Bagels so, so. Coffee to strong. A let down for sure.

The only thing I like about this establishment is all the NY decor and memorabilia ( I'm a native NYER). This is where it ends though. The food leaves a lot to be desired. I have visited both locations and found both locations need to very unclean, dirty tables and just overall dirty feel and look. I was hoping to find my new NY style bagel shop but was disappointed. The bagels are hard and tasteless. Their sandwiches consist of two or three pieces of cold cuts and cheese for $8. The combination of all these things turned me off. The pine island location was not good and still I wanted to give them a second chance and went to the one off of Cape Coral pkwy only to be disappointed again. Will not be returning. read more
