We loved our visit to Stumpy's. We ate in but they do a huge business in take out and delivery. The dining area is small but we had no trouble finding a seat. We enjoyed watching the 10-12 employees work filling orders like the well oiled machine they are. Great Pizza! Great Wings! We got the family special and added pepperoni to the pizza. Delicious! Have to admit the amount of food was way more than three could handle. Plenty of pizza and 24 wings was too much for us, but be your own judge. I'd have eaten all of it if I could. I ordered for pick up a couple weeks ago and was really impressed with the subs that I came here again a couple days ago with a friend. This time we ate in and made them combos. The first time we got the big dipper and the super sub. Both were delicious and highly recommend. This second time I ordered the super sub again and my friend got the Italian. On my crazed tour of eating at as many of the valley's local top pizza joints and have been meaning to try some Za from this place for a while now. I placed an order over the phone for pick up and the gentleman who helped me was super friendly and helpful. I asked him if a small 10inch would be a good amount of food for 2 people of average appetite and he consulted me with what I needed to know. He also accommodated my request to sub out one topping on their "The Works" pizza. Definitely A+ on friendliness for sure! Once I got home Za in hand, I was already drooling from the aroma. Opened the box up and this baby looked gorgeous. Immediately went to town on it. The portion or amount of toppings is incredibly generous, this place does not skimp at all. I love how tasty and flavored their meat toppings were and the veggies tasted very fresh. Pizza was not overcooked or undercooked. Just perfect, despite how many toppings were loaded onto it. Crust is flavored very well, I always look down on pizza that doesn't make me want to eat the crust. I'm definitely coming back to try some their other builds. Tried Stumpy's takeout for the first time last night and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the dinner salad and the whiteout pizza. The dinner salad was okay, nothing crazy but not terrible either. We ordered the whiteout pizza and added chicken to half. The pizza was quite tasty and very creamy tasting. Without the chicken it was pretty good but with the chicken it was delicious. Crispiness and flavor of the chicken broke up the sometimes overwhelming creaminess. Would also recommend adding chili pepper flakes and I personally drizzled my slices in sriracha. Overall a great experience for my first time. Hoping to try some more of their signature creations. read more

They also have some of the best rice crispies treat I've ever had. I can't believe that after probably 15 times either having a couple slices and a coke for lunch at Stumpy's or ordering pickup, I haven't even checked in there on Yelp until today. 'Sup with that???? Smoking deal on their lunch special. If you're nearby and want a quick bite of tasty pizza, stop by. They deliver to the 85020 area, which I work but don't live in, so when the family wants their pizza for dinner, as in tonight, I pick it up. They now have a great online ordering tool, although it has always been easy to call in my order in the past. And pay at the time of pickup. We've had the Works, the Butcher, The Veggie, The Greek, and tonight will be trying the Whiteout for the first time. Thus far all have been tasty. I've also had their wings which come in several different flavors and are good. Their housemade ranch is available in a pint jar. Get some. My wife agrees it's some of the best out there. Also, their large 16"? Well it's huge. Prepare for SOME EATING! And some leftovers :) Oh, I almost forgot, they'll partially bake your pizzas if you want to finish them up at home! Our office decided to get lunch for today and suggested Stumpy's. I had never heard of it before and felt like I was missing out due to all the other 5-star reviews, so I jumped on the bandwagon to take a look at the menu and choose what I wanted for lunch. The menu seemed typical of what you'd expect from a Pizza & Subs shop, but ultimately I went with a slice of pizza, salad, and a drink. For the pizza slice, I chose basil & tomatoes as my toppings, ranch dressing for the salad, and Dr. Pepper. I was excited when the food showed up since I was getting to the "hangry" part of hungry... but when I opened my box with my pizza slice, it was burnt to a crisp, with only about 3 tomatoes on it, under a mound of basil. It tasted okaaaayyyy, but I was hungry so I ate it (minus the burnt crust -- and I love pizza crust). The salad was bigger than I expected and was delicious (although can't really go wrong with a salad). And as far as my Dr. Pepper... they forgot it, lol. The driver did come back about 20 mins later with it and some other forgotten items, which was nice. Overall, I'm glad I tried Stumpy's, although I don't think I got the best experience while ordering to-go... perhaps I'll give it another try but this time go there myself -- as I said, the other reviews raved about it. read more

I ordered the classic Italian cold, no onions and the Italian dressing on the side, one word DELICIOUS The bread is so fresh and the Italian dressing has that tangy kick to it! The service was prompt and friendly! EVERYONE should give this place a try, especially if you are from the East Coast and miss Italian grinders. I know they call it "classic" and I'm not sure what the original recipe for Italian grinders is, but I know back home they use different deli meat. Found this place scrolling through Yelp and once again was not let down! When I pulled up the place was packed inside (safely of course, people were still separated apart and had masks on) and there were people waiting outside- I say this because you know when you see that the food HAS to be good. And it was! My pizza had the perfect cheese to topping ratio, was not over cooked and the dough was that perfect texture. Since we were splitting I took the advice of several reviewers and also ordered a meatball sub and had them split it for us. The pizza was delivered to our hotel room hot and fresh, cheese still melted and gooey. Large pieces were more than enough for the two of us. The sub was filled with large meatballs, sauce and cheese. I thought the internals were all good with a bread meatball. The bread was outstanding; crisp, toasted Italian bread with just the right crunch but still soft on the inside. Stayed a few blocks away at a hotel on business. I like to do the local thing when I'm away from home so I looked for a local hike (dreamy draw was awesome) and I ALWAYS have local pizza. Stumpys was awesome. Generous toppings, awesome crust, fast delivery. Good stuff. If I come back and stay all the way on the other side of town, I will drive back here for another pie. Got a half works, half cheese and jalapeño. Never did that before. Definitely doing it again. On another night I went to SNY just to get some variety and perspective on Phx area pizza and it was a total let down.
