quite disappointed that the service here is so poor! I heard good things about su pan so I wanted to try the pastries out, but with such a bad experience I wouldn't say it's worth going back. she greeted me when I entered but because she had just mopped in front of the pastry cases, wouldn't let me walk over there. when I asked her to pack some for me she gave me an audible sigh! her recommendation for which ones were her favorites or most popular she said "I don't like pastries and they're all just sugar so people get everything" I almost would have preferred she lied and just picked one at random! lol. service aside, the pastries were actually pretty tasty. the flaky ones were so crisp and fresh, and the sugar coated ones were surprisingly not too sweet! the triangle one with cheese custard has to be my favorite - it's a perfect balance of cheese and cream and pastry. It's time to update a great bakery still. I'm specifically highlighting their Rosca. This wheel of sweet bread is a treat that goes so well with a cup of coffee, tea or champurado or hot chocolate. I especially enjoy keeping an eye out for piece of rosca which may have the baby Jesus hidden in it. I got the tres leeches cake and really enjoyed the flavor. The fruit was fresh, the staff were kind to answer all my questions and when pointing at the window and asking "what's this." Even when asking the 9th time "what's this," the lady maintained a smile on their face while answering me. The place is super clean which is why I like this place. When entering the first thing I noticed is this bakery is very clean and weak organized. The staff was a bit busy but still able to answer my questions. The cakes...WOW! These are some of the most delicious cakes I've had. The chocolate mousse really taste like your biting into chocolate milk and the strawberry short cake was so moist and delicious. The carrot cake was good but the other cakes are much better. Let's not stop there though...they have delicious tortas that taste homemade and their hash brown breakfast burrito was the best. We ended up ordering a fruit tarte and a chocolate dulce de leche cake, along with an assortment of cookies. Bomb mocha tres leches cake! Perfect texture & great flavor! Also not too expensive, paid $35 for the large cake which was big! Large slices and enough for all of us (7 people) with leftovers. I also tried the concha bread, it was okay. I've had better to be honest andddd a fly flew into the bread enclosing, so that kinda grossed me out. So perhaps, have a staff make sure no flies get into the fresh bread and make sure the door stays closed to minimize flies coming in? Idk. I love the tres leche here. So, I decided to order a 1/2 sheet tiramisu but changed my mind when the girl said it was $175!!!!! What for cake!? Then asked how much the regular one was and she said $133 (which is still super expensive). But i buckled down and bought it anyway for my son's baptism. On the day of the event, the cake was not ready. I asked if they could deliver it to the church, and they said no. My cousin had to leave the service to pick up the cake.
