The Pumpkin Concha's have lived up to the hype. Saw someone post these last month in September and knew I had to come down to try them. I was concerned that I wouldn't make it in time as I arrived to Panadería La Buena around 11 or so on the weekend. Nope, I was able to score two and with no line. Very small and intimate panadería. Here you ask the to pick your bread rather than self picking. I got my concha's and they were warmed up. If you are a pumpkin lover then this one is for you. The outside of the concha was warmed up, with then a pumpkin + cheese filling. They did a great job with this concha fall rollout!

Cute little shop off imperial ave. Feels very home-y. I went of course for the pumpkin cream cheese concha which did not disappoint in the slightest. It might just be my favorite fall dessert this season. The gentleman working the shop was very kind and quick with the service. While the pumpkin concha was $5, I also got a vanilla one, only $1.50. Great prices the only downside is parking can be difficult as it is downtown.

Tried this place for the first time and wow I was impressed! Very friendly people. It smelled delicious. I saw the pumpkin concha on Instagram and wanted to try it. I was expecting it to be good but overhyped. I was wrong. It is amazing!! I also tried the vanilla concha (very good but a little too dense for me) and the cinammon roll (super good, with some unique or high quality cinnamon that really took it to the next level.) Definitely will be back!

I went for the tik tok famous filled conchas (sp?) and they were good We got other stuff they have traditionally mexican breads and a cute young man with glasses with great math skills looks family owned and operated. Highly recommend

STAHHHP ITTTTT because the pumpkin cheesecake conchas are to die for!!!! Seasonal, of course but definitely worth waiting in line, outside with the sun beaming down on us!! Stumbled across a video on IG the day before we came into town and so glad I did because this will be living in my head, rent free until I go back to town.

Some variety of conchas, the viral pumpkins cheesecake concha, ojo de guey and a delicious crispy oreja. All 10 out of 10!

Delicious bread. Fluffy and fresh. Efficient quick service and reasonable prices. The viral pumping cheesecake concha is what brought me here but to be honest the regular bread is even more incredible. Wide variety to pick and choose from and the taste was amazing I couldn't wait to get home to share with my family with some coffee.

You already know why was brought us here! We had to get the Pumpkin Cheesecake Concha! It was to die for, we also bought some bolios, very yummy. I will be coming back to this spot in SD, it's also very close to Chicano Park. Might as well stop and grab a bite to walk around the park! The shop owners were very nice!

Not a lot of available parking out front. A tiny bakery, the aroma was like a grandmother's kitchen. Display of desserts was simple and there was a good variety. I only went for the pumpkin filled concha. It was good but not the best I've had. Worth a try for something different.

Man... I don't even usually leave reviews, but I had to show love to Panadería La Buena on Imperial. Didn't even touch my coffee, no leche nada (and I got one too) didn't talk, just sat there fully zoned in on this thing . It's soft, super moist (not dry like some spots), and the flavor hits just right. The pumpkin is rich but not too sweet & with the crema in the middle, gasolina. Definitely one of the best conchas I've had in SD, hands down!!

It's almost Dia de los Muertos.  I like to have some Pan de Muerto to celebrate.  This year I found some at Panderia La Buena.  Bakery reminds me of bakeries I visited when I was a kid.  Nothing fancy.  Just the colorful treats and the fresh baked aroma to entice you to buy.  The lady in charge was nice and helpful with getting my treats. Concha decorated like a pumpkin was fluffy with a sugary top.  Bread part had a nice fresh mild flavor with a good amount of sweetness from the top.  Cute and tasty. Pan de Muertos was fluffy with lots of sugar on top.  Like the concha the bread part had a nice mild flavor with a good amount of sweetness from the top. The Pan de Muertos and the concha were similar bread base and I loved them both.  I'll have to return and try more treats here. Dia de los Muertos is celebrated November 1 and 2.  November 1 is a day to remember children while November 2 is to honor adults.

Stumbled across this gem! The Oaxaca, ham, jalapeño bread was super tasty for breakfast. Also a ton of different other sweet pastries to try. Felipe was welcoming and fun to chat with. Love this place

I ordered the Island Girl Coffee, a macadamia latte, and asked for it less sweet. To me, it tasted very similar to a flavored hazelnut latte from Starbucks. Even with reduced sweetness, it was still sweeter than I prefer and had a slightly artificial flavor. That said, the cashier was very sweet, and the dessert display looked beautiful and tempting. While the coffee didn't win me over, I'd still come back to give their desserts a try since they looked much more appealing than the drink I ordered. Overall, a nice spot with friendly service, but next time I'll be skipping the flavored coffee and trying one of the desserts instead.
