How does a Subway get a 5-star review? Location: Who says a cheap chain restaurant can't survive in an affluent and image-conscious place like Beverly Hills? Not only has it survived in the land of $15 chopped salads, but it seems to have actually thrived. Value: Every time I frequent Subway, it easily saves me anywhere from $5 to $15 to an alternative eatery in BH. Efficiency: This is probably the busiest Subway I've ever seen, with lines out the door at its peak. In spite of this, I've never had to wait long thanks in large part to the assembly line of employees they have taking orders. Demeanor: Even at its busiest, the manager is always affable and takes the time to greet you properly. I've been to this Subway dozens of times and have never had a problem with any of its employees. This is why this particular Subway gets 5 stars from me. I almost feel like I owe it to them. It's a known fact that Subway is terrible. How can a fast food chain that bakes hundreds of loaves of bread each day still serve stale bread? We (society as a whole) only frequent Subway because it is cheap, efficient, and offers multiple options. Having said all of the above, this particular Subway franchise does a really great job. For starters the restaurant is always clean. Whoever runs this place ensures that the store is well taken care of. The food is your basic Subway fare. Nothing to really brag about. You know what to expect when you walk into a Subway. The category this Subway really makes its mark in is the service. Everyone who works here does a really great job. This store is consistently very busy and has long lines, but the employees churn through the customers like a hot knife through butter. Since its Subway I should say a hot knife through a fresh roll. Even though this store is so busy the folks behind the counter never seem flustered and are always friendly. I do not like the West-side of Los Angeles and try and avoid it by all means. Work requires me to be in this area from time to time and being in this area reminds me why I dislike it so much. The one good thing about being within walking distance of Rodeo Drive is this Subway even though parking can be a nightmare. If you show up after 7pm you can park on Wilshire Blvd for free. If it is before 7pm and you park or stop on Wilshire Blvd you will get a ticket and have you vehicle impounded quicker than you can order a sandwich. The parking meters surrounding this Subway take coins and ATM Cards. I am not the best at math but I do know 75 cents is a lot cheaper than a 75 dollar parking ticket. It is nice to be in this area and still get a good healthy meal without the 90210 price. This Subway is packed sometimes and sometimes it isn't, either way the line moves quickly & the employees are very helpful. read more

Very impressed! First time pre-ordering a sandwich platter for a party that we were hosting at a Beverly Hills Hotel. A certain employee who I will not describe made my comfort go away completely and unwelcoming. I bought a foot long sub but no drink this time cause I brought my water bottle and didn't see the need for a cup. I moved to the neighborhood and have come here several times over the past 8 months or so simply because of its extremely close proximity to my home. As a whole, the people that work here are far from friendly. Half of the time I do not receive a hello and am instead met with dead eyes and a blank stare. The quality of the food is just okay. It has the same menu as other Subways but lacks certain ingredients that I have seen at other locations, like sweet peppers. One thing I'd like to advise other customers is to NOT get a chopped salad from this location. The employees are very light handed and the BOTTOM half of the container is always HALF full. It is quite disappointing, and after ordering one again today (trying to give multiple changes) I made the decision that this is the final straw. While asking for extra pickles the lady making my sandwich caught an aggressive attitude sighing as she put 2 more pickles on my sandwich, then as I asked for more she throws 3 more on and says in a very rude condescending way in "I guess I make pickle sandwiches now, I'm gonna need a TIP for this" in front of everyone. I came to pick up an Uber Eats order and was given such arrogance and belittling rudeness from the Sunday morning worker. Hispanic male with glasses (I won't call him a man because he acted like a child when he spoke to me). I arrive to pick up an order for one of my customers, that had a name I could not pronounce, yet I showed the subway clerk the name on the screen in the app and he yelled at me for not announcing the name to him. I've been told him that the name in the app is the name that should be on the order and that that was absolutely no way to be speaking to anyone regardless of me being a delivery driver. He continued on with vulgar language and arrogance. I then asked for his name and his managers name which he refused to give. For the work that I do, I constantly encounter rudeness from self entitled customers, restaurant workers with bad attitudes and constant battles in traffic from demanding and dangerous drivers. I get he hates his job and isn't making enough money, but we're both technically on the same team because I am delivering the order that he made. Never in my life have I ever been talked to with such disrespect on a Sunday Morning from this Beverly Hills A-hole worker.
