    THE WORKS PIZZA
    Loyal C.

I wish I read the reviews before I bought this pizza. Customer service was excellent. However, the pizza was lack lustered. It was by far the worst pizza I had and that says a lot. Sorry I tried to enjoy it.

Great pizza at a fair price and terrific people watching at this crazy-busy location, still a beacon on Beverly Drive with all the closures. The great pizza pie menu is now huge we found out when we ate there and lots of seasonal items and specials. The energy is just great.

Wow! Amazing delicious delivery pizza! Thin crisp crust and the veggies were so delicious!! I don't like heavy tomato sauce and they prepared it just I requested! Really yummy!!

    Drinks & terrible, terrible service

So now I remember why my family and I stopped coming to this location. Sadly, since they're down the road from us. It's because the customer service is terrible and the food for some reason is also not very good. Came in today during my lunch break and definitely felt like I wasn't being tended to closely like other guest. I ordered the lunch special, soup and pasta. The soup was delicious pasta unfortunately was supposed to be. Bolognese turned out to be I don't know what. If you're on Beverly, looking for a good place to eat there are plenty of other options for both good food and good service. It's slow and very judgmental. I went to pay in the front and I saw them assume I walked off. Definitely won't return or recommend them.

Spaghetti mushroom green onions red chili flakes olive oil Delicious

Maggie stood out. Why ? Not only is she extremely kind and friendly she's very professional simultaneously. I have been a CPK fan for many years and I enjoy the Kung pow pasta. However whenever I order it I alter it and while I was doing that Maggie says did you know you can build your own pasta. Boom ! I could not believe I could have done that all along. Thank you Maggie ! By the way the food was delicious my spaghetti was amazing. I had it with mushrooms and red chili flakes. Extremely delicious

We like this location, but service has gone down. Waiters disappear or go on break, and no one else covers. One server put his hands up and said, "I'm not your waiter." The pizzas are still good, as is the eggroll appetizer. The spicy cauliflower app was tiny, room temperature, and overpriced. The new Miso Shrimp Salad had flavorless shrimp (boiled or steamed), watery dressing, and the veggies lost their crunch. The waiter "didn't hear us" order the pizza before he vanished. The extra time cost us a few bucks at the parking lot lol. Still a decent lunch spot, but not very exciting.

    Lunch duo special
    Natalie J.

I work in the area and enjoy coming here for their lunch special. Food comes out quick allowing me to get back to the office. I'm always able to find seating at the bar and am greeted by the staff. Their lunch duo special is affordable, especially given the area. I enjoy getting the 7" pizza with a side of salad or soup. Paying less than $15 for a hot meal in BH is great. The restaurant has curb pick up, although it does get busy certain times of days. There are also plenty of meters that surround CPK. Most times I've gone the place is quiet. They have a tv above the bar area that will often times play sports games. Pro tip: park across the street at the City for free 2 hour parking. Only reason I knock a star is inconsistency. Sometimes I have to ask for the bread and olive oil and other times the pizza is a little overcooked than previous times.

    Tostada pizza

This was hands down the most awful pizza I have ever encountered and was completely inedible. This was supposed to be the tostada pizza, and it was burned and I would have broken a tooth if I chewed it. The toppings were all on the side and included scallions, which I specifically asked not to be on it because I am allergic to all onions. So the entire pizza and all of the toppings had to be tossed. I also ordered the buffalo cauliflower which also had the scallions and so I couldn't eat them either. $40 literally down the drain. I wrote an o line complaint, but big surprise no one reached out. Thanks CPK! And before "Deborah" with cpk customer service posts a link to give more info... that link is associated with an account that has been suspended, so clearly they don't really care about our experience.

The service here is excellent and everything ran smoothly with zero issues. The bread and butter here is excellent while waiting for your meal. I had the beef stroganoff, which is a comfort dish for me. It's hearty and delicious so I couldn't wait to try this dish. I was certainly surprised because I was not expecting it to be incredibly flavorful. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. Highly recommended! We ended our meal with the devil's advocate flourless chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream, which was delicious for being flourless. What a perfect way to end a tasty meal. My only complaint is the parking because we didn't know where we could park. We ended up getting a ticket because we thought we could park nearby. Definitely recommend asking where to park to avoid a ticket. Overall, we very much enjoyed our dining experience and will certainly be back to try other menu items.

Overall, I'd give 3.5 stars. Granville is a chain restaurant, similar to the likes of Olive garden,…read moreChilies, etc, but probably a tad more upscale in terms of the overall decor and vibe. Service was fine, but nothing special. We were greeted, seated and the waitress took our orders. Once the food arrived, our waitress barely came by again except towards the end to drop off our check. Other staff did come by to clear our empty plates from the table, so that was nice. We did notice that they only provided 1 serving spoon for all of our dishes. Would've liked a serving utensil with each dish to minimize cross-contamination and mixing of flavors. Throughout our dining, there were flies and small bugs flying around, which was off-putting and annoying as we had to keep swatting them away from landing on our food. 1. Farmhouse Beet Salad (5/5) It's a good thing this was the 1st dish to arrive at our table as it left a good 1st impression. The roasted organic beets were fresh and had that earthy-tone to it. Dressed with their lemon-oregano vinaigrette, feta, arugula, and candied pecans. OMG, those candied pecans were heavenly. It's crunchy and toasted to perfection. the candied flavor of it was addictingly delicious. If they have a menu item of candied pecans, I'll order it any day. 2. Trio Taco (2.5/5) You can choose between chicken, steak, shrimp, plant-based chicken, or jackfruit. We opted for steak. The steak was fine, but for BBQ sauce used was just a dish killer. They need to rethink the choice of sauce used in these tacos. Also, not a fan of corn tortilla. Wish they gave a choice between corn and flour tortilla. 3. Artisan Bread & Butter (5/5) Their sourdough bread sliced, grilled and brushed generously with garlic olive oil. Severed with a side of whipped duckfat butter. I've never had duck fat butter before, so this was a pleasant experience to try. Not to worry, there's no duck flavor at all. It's almost like cream cheese but lighter and airer. 4. Ahi Filet (1.5/5) Sesame-crusted ahi with a side wasabi aioli. The ahi was so-so; definitely, not the freshest and there's no "melt-in-your mouth" joy. The wasabi aioli sauce was good though. There is a subtle spice kick from the wasabi. It's served with a side of soba noodles that was gingery and peanuty in flavor. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked as they stuck to each other in clumps. 5. Bacon & Blue Burger (4.5/5) Quite a satisfying burger consisting of wagyu beef, duroc bacon, aged blue cheese, caramelized onions, and arugula. It's juicy, meaty, slightly tangy from the horseradish aioli and sweet from the port wine reduction. The brioche bun was pleasantly soft. 6. Thai Ginger Salad (3/5) This salad consists of romaine lettuce as the base. It is dressed with Thai sesame dressing, which was underwhelming. The toppings for this salad include fresh mango cubes, slaw, slices of avocado, fresh peanut bits, tomato and soba noodles. It's not a bad salad, but for the price, I do not think it is worth it. 7. Superfood Longevity Salad (4/5) A salad consisting of mixed greens (lacinato kale and spring mix) with a variety of rich, nutritious toppings (organic beets, quinoa, pomegranate, radish, blueberries, almonds, dried Bing cherries, and pepitas). The dressing is a sherry vinaigrette that's tangy, creamy and light. All the ingredients came together well. If you are looking for a hearty salad, this is for you. 8. Hibiscus Rosé (4/5) Sparkling rosé with hibiscus flavor infused with grapefruit skin to give it a bit of citrus note and topped off with a micro flower to add a special touch of decor to the drink. In summary, the food looks better than it actually tastes. Come here if you want to eat out with a large party for celebration, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it for a special night out as the price does not justify the experience.

Darling was on my list to try ever since I read about it on Eater. It eventually became one of 2…read morerestaurants that were the focus of my recent staycation in the West Hollywood/Beverly Grove area, the other was perennial favourite A.O.C. I was familiar with chef/owner (and James Beard Award winner) Sean Brock, having dined at two of his Husk restaurants (Charleston and Nashville), where he first gained fame and accolades. He is no longer affiliated with Husk or some other Nashville restaurants, but still has a pizza place there, so he is still bi-coastal. I can't say what drew him to SoCal, but is clearly enamored of our bountiful produce and purveyors, which he integrates into his "Heritage Southern", often live-fire, cooking. He's apparently quite a music lover also, hence the live DJ all-vinyl booth in the bar/lounge. Darling is on the northern end of Robertson between Melrose and Sunset. Many restaurants of note are nearby, including The Abbey, Craig's, SushiSamba. Many, including Darling, do not have valet parking, so that can be an endeavor you should allow time for. Darling is a pretty large, gorgeous and airy space, divided into an open-air-ish lounge/bar and a dining room towards the rear, which in turn is divided into 2 sections. The space used be the restaurant Soulmate, and looking at old pics still up on Yelp, it is clear many of the design features were repurposed for Darling, including the beautiful wood-beamed ceiling and booths in the dining room, the olive tree and retractable roof in the lounge, and the exterior. The impressive mural in the dining room appears new, as is the DJ booth. The weather was in the 90's during my visits, so the more A/C-controlled dining room was my choice for seating. Darling serves dinner Wed-Sat and brunch Sundays, so of course I had to try both. There's also a small Happy Hour menu Wed-Sat in the lounge/bar. Here's the lowdown: Dinner 1) Deviled eggs. A classic Southern snack, bougied up with bluefin tuna belly. Delish, with a slight kick, but just 2 per order. 2) Abalone and rice stew. Another winner (and smallish portion). Earthy, yet light, topped with a confit egg yolk. 3) The Darling dry-aged steak burger. Just 24 served per day. The stellar meat is a blend of 3 types of beef, mostly dry-aged prime, cooked over the live-fire grill. It was served simply with ketchup, cheese, raw onion and Dijonnaise , allowing the beef to shine. Served without accompaniments. 4) Sliced tomatoes with buttermilk dressing and tomato vine vinegar. A simple and refreshing taste of summer. 5) Blackberry sorbet Eton mess. Delish sorbet that was the perfect blend of sweet and tart. Eton mess is whipped cream and meringue shards. The Texas deer skewers and Anson Mills cornbread were also of interest to me; another time. Brunch 1) Sonora wheat pancakes. Pretty classic, with crispy edges, fancy Maison Bordier butter and maple syrup. 2) 5-fat fried chicken. Also available on the Happy Hour menu. I was told the chicken was heavily spiced, but not heat-spicy. Its red-orange hue made me pause with fear, but it was exactly as described. The seasoning is quite chili powder-forward (Ancho chili?). The chicken is boneless thigh meat (my fave chicken part), just like the Spanish fried chicken at A.O.C. Served with a vinegary hot sauce (didn't use), honey (used it all) and an assortment of pickles. The 5 fats used are chicken fat, lard, country ham, bacon fat and smoked butter. Quite different from A.O.C.'s version; apples and oranges. Try them both. 3) Watermelon sorbet with Bonny melon and lemon verbena. Another sorbet winner, even more refreshing with the melon. Their cocktail and wine offerings seem pretty extensive. My zero-proof pineapple concoction was fine and delish; I had it at both meals. Service and staff was excellent and oh so friendly--hostess, servers, busboys, manager. I wish I remembered the names of my servers for shout-outs; their names didn't appear on my checks. Speaking of checks, you have the option of paying via QR code or with a traditional paper check and table-side hand-held gizmo. I did both and recommend the traditional method to avoid the $3.99 "Platform Fee" for using the QR code. Lastly, I found the music pleasant and mostly retro (the DJ usually puts the album currently spinning on display), but very loud. Guests were yelling in order to converse. Hope to return, and maybe see Chef Sean DJ-ing.

I was hoping to like Darling because I love the hifi bar concept and the ambience was indeed nice,…read morebut the food did not pull its weight. We got deviled eggs topped with tuna belly, which made a convincing case for deviled eggs without tuna belly. The steak burger was hearty, but the way it was seasoned and dressed was so vinegar forward that it made it hard to enjoy. The fries were great--chunky and crispy. However, the $24 cucumber salad was so awful I'm shocked they would serve it. First, there were genuinely 6 cucumber slices, so more like a leafy green salad with cucumbers and hardly a "cucumber salad." But even those 6 were wet and mushy, as though they'd been sitting in the fridge for too long. The fact that this dish made it through the garde manger, sous chef, head chef, and even the servers without anyone stopping it does not bode well for the longevity of this restaurant.

And, Miami. And even at the marinas in San Diego, San Francisco, and Sausalito. The Henry is very large and open, yet, with all the light streaming in, the soft blues and greys keep the atmosphere sophisticated, subdued, and cool. You immediately feel the calm and these days, especially in the city, we can use a good deal of decompressing. It was almost an audible "aaaahhhhh" that my brain whispered when we sat down at our roomy booth. We were there for brunch and the menu was wonderful for me, a lifelong vegetarian. There were multiple items I wanted to try but I usually stick to an appetizer, main, dessert, and beverage. I am not a big eater at one sitting. Between us, everything we ordered was superb. The descriptions were pretty familiar, but the tastes were elevated. And the presentations were unique too -- see my photos. Michael, our server, was efficient but warm and friendly too. That makes such a difference. From beginning to end he took care of us, checking occasionally to get our enthusiastic thumbs-up, and then bringing us sturdy containers and a roomy thick shopping bag to take home the leftovers. We stuffed ourselves but still took home half of the generous portions we were given. The tab was beyond reasonable too, especially for Beverly Hills! Nice music -- not too loud, just enough to give a cheerful vibe in the background; clean appointments; quality furnishings; giant spotless windows; pretty wallcoverings; comfortable seating -- everything was just right, Goldilocks-worthy. This is the kind of place to return to again and again. Garage parking at the complex for $15 was so easy, clean surroundings in the neighborhood with some famous retail nearby for browsing, just 40 minutes from home. IOW, perfect!

Parking can be a little challenging, but valet service is available if you prefer the convenience. The seating is outdoors, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket or sweater, especially in the evening. If you can make it Monday through Thursday, don't miss their happy hour--it's one of the best deals in town. Everything we ordered, from the appetizers and entrées to the desserts, was absolutely delicious. You can tell the chef takes great pride in every dish. Overall, I give this place 5 stars. Great atmosphere, amazing food, and a wonderful dining experience. I'll definitely be coming back!

The outdoor space is still beautiful, but , unfortunately the LOUD music ruins the ambiance. People have to scream to hear their table mates. So we asked to be transferred indoors. Music still loud but less people screaming. the indoor space has been poorly maintained, floors are worn out, everything looks, well, old. Food: fried calamari... well cooked, tender, totally flavorless. Caesar Salad with chicken... VERY little dressing (we had to request more as well as salt and pepper, the chicken... dry as cardboard. The only good thing about this experience was the attentive waitress, unfortunately I didn't ask her name. What a disappointment!

I ordered the Brazino and the braised Short Ribs. I've had Brazino at various locations in the past and without question, this was the best I've had thus far. It was extremely large and sat atop a dark colored delicious sauce which, was outstanding. The short ribs were tender, had great flavor and were cooked perfectly. Other than the food being exceptional and the table service on point, the highlight of the evening was when owner, operator and celebrity Chef Wolfgang Puck stopped by to say hello and inquired about my meal. This spoke volumes of his commitment to customer satisfaction and his willingness to interact with those who visit his establishment. Well done!

Unfortunately, my experience landed more in the "it was fine" category than memorable fine dining. The evening started promisingly with cocktails and beautifully presented small bites. Presentation throughout dinner was polished, and there's no question that a lot of thought goes into how everything arrives at the table. The bread service was elaborate and visually impressive, and several of the smaller bites were interesting. But as the meal progressed, I kept waiting for that one dish that would make me understand the hype. The truffle pizza certainly looked luxurious--and they weren't shy with the truffles--but even that didn't deliver the knockout flavor I expected. It was good. Just...good. At this level, I was expecting something I'd still be talking about the next day. That's really how I felt about the overall meal. Nothing was necessarily bad. The ingredients seemed high quality, the plating was sophisticated, and the experience had all the elements of upscale dining. It simply didn't translate into food that excited me. And when you're dining at a restaurant with Spago's reputation, "just okay" feels more disappointing than it would somewhere else. Service and atmosphere were polished, but ultimately I'm reviewing the entire experience relative to the expectations and price point. I'm glad I finally experienced Spago for myself, but would I rush back? Probably not. There are too many exceptional restaurants where I've left genuinely excited about what I just ate.

Daisy was literally the sweetest we've come across in a long time in terms of Customer Service not only was she attentive, but she was caring. She was very much involved and just array of sunshine. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy honestly it felt like she was one of the girls. We all had an instant connection and almost felt like we were friends. We shared a lot of laughs and stories and I don't think I've had an experience like that before she's special. Everyone in the party loved her and honestly wanted to take her with us We were a party of 10 so she definitely had her handful but she took care of us and we love her for that. She definitely helped in celebrating this special moment. I also would like to give a shout out to Raymundo one of the other workers that helped us in a bachelorette dare to find someone to serenade the bride to be and he's sang this beautiful Spanish ballad. It just was an overall sweet experience and I thank them for helping us wrap this special day in a bow! As for the food delicious the charcuterie board is sooooooo good. Oh my goodness the oven baked brie bread with truffle on it blew my mind. I would honestly come back here and just eat that all day but because our experience was so amazing especially with Daisy I would definitely come back with my crew just to see her again.

I happened to be making an early morning delivery down the street at Allo and had always been curious about Wally's $39 lunch prix fixe menu. Honestly, it sounded almost too good to be true. I walked in right when they opened at 11:32 a.m. and grabbed a seat at the bar. My bartender and server, Shaline A., absolutely made my day. She was warm, welcoming, attentive, and provided genuine hospitality from start to finish. I started with the Caesar salad (with anchovies). Personally, I think a traditional Caesar should always have anchovies they're part of what makes it so special. For my entrée, I had the dorade fish], and it was beautifully prepared. Every bite reflected the quality and attention to detail that Wally's is known for. To finish, I enjoyed the cheese plate featuring a truffle cheese that day. Let me tell you... A+! It was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. From the service to the food and the overall experience, Wally's exceeded my expectations. The $39 prix fixe lunch is an incredible value for the quality you receive. I highly recommend stopping by, and I'll definitely be back.

Shortly after I sat down, the manager approached us and made us feel like we needed to leave. His attitude was rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Instead of politely explaining the situation or treating us like valued customers, he made our family feel unwelcome and rushed. For a restaurant in Beverly Hills, I expected much better hospitality and customer service. A manager should know how to speak to guests with respect, regardless of how long they have been seated. Unfortunately, his behavior ruined the experience for our entire family. I would not recommend this place based on the way we were treated. I forgot his name. He was wearing a black suit and my server told me, he is one of the managers.
