Two weeks ago, I ordered a couple of sandwiches from this location, one came in correctly, and the other was a meatball with pepperoni, double meat, double cheese, it did not come with double mete and double cheese, the meatballs that were in it were burned black, I called them up, and the girl said I'm sorry I made a mistake and didn't do the double meat I said, but it's also burned, she said her manager would call me, that never happened I called the following weekend and told the person on the phone that I was supposed to receive a call from a manager that never happened, she said that she would have the manager call me, again that never happened I will not be ordering anything from here ever again, and I recommend that you don't either read more

I've been here several times and they've never missed with their sandwiches. They've got speedy servers who will make your sandwich in 3 minutes which is great for a construction worker like me. The sandwich tasted amazing and all the ingredients were fresh! Jalapeños were smackin' spicy and the vegetables had a nice crunch to it. Bread nicely toasted and hearty. Ham refreshing and salty. Most Horrible service I've ever received at a fast food locations. Waited 35 minutes in line to order a sandwich to be told they are out of more then half there veggies. I came here getting the 6" footlong which was the chicken sandwich. They toast it and charge you for having it toasted. It's not much but there's a charge. If you ask for a sandwich not toasted, it's $6.00 even. The guy who made my sandwich did not seem happy to be working there. No smile, nothing. For my toppings, I got lettuce, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, and mayonnaise all on wheat bread. Pretty descent. The inside is small. The negative here would be parking since it's near the Imperial Beach. Just your average Subway. I don't venture out this way too much cause parking can be a negative in the afternoons. If you go in the middle of the day, there's plenty of parking nearby. This Subway is just okay. read more

Alright so there has been some turnover here. Victor is gone but I hear he's over at the Outlying Field Subway. Wade is just gone, other sandwich making ventures I imagine. Good news! They've been replaced by a crack duo of sandwich artisans whom I have on good authority are currently studying at Subway University. Isabel and Vita are awesome! Not that I need much convincing (during Anytober at that!) but going in there is always a good time and they're very friendly. Izzy is a firecracker who beats herself up for not getting my order right, even though I change it on the regular. I complain to her about things that don't matter and she usually fields them expertly. Vita is very smart, I can tell because she usually agrees with me. Always friendly she always greets me and the girl, regardless of whether she's on break or not. She's usually got some random trivia if you're interested. These girls have definitely brought the quality of the place up... that and the air conditioning got fixed. read more

Being close to the beach and having great food will keep me coming back! I just moved to the area and had a craving for a Subway sandwich but didn't know of one close to my place. I took a walk and down the street next to the Imperial Beach Pier is a Subway. I got there around 6-6:30 PM and there weren't that many people in the restaurant but there were a few people eating outside on one of their patio tables. Normally I don't have the time to go out of my way to write a review unless something was way off base or really spectacular. Never have I ever been so disrespected by a fast food retailer in all of my life, if it were at all possibleI would give this review less stars if I could! The #1 thing I notice that was wrong was nobody greeted me or said hello at all, but everyone else that came in after me was greeted warmly, meanwhile I was just ignored by both employees, which were an old middle eastern woman who is the wife of the owner and a small asian teen, and it's not like they were super busy and didn't have time to greet me. Both sandwich artists looked up saw me again!, and then continued about their business as if I wasn't there at all! The #2 thing I noticed that was wrong was, that after it was clear I was a paying customer trying to buying a sandwich they looked at up at me yet again,and no head nod, no eye contact, no acknowledgment what so ever!, no one told me that they would be with me "in just a minute", I just got ignored some more! The # 3 thing that was wrong with this subway was that the gentleman who walked in and stood in line behind me, for no apparent reason started getting his sandwich made before mine. In what kind of world do I live where the customer who had walk in and stood in line behind me get served before me for no apparent reason? Absolutely fuming I stormed up up to the counter told the Middle Eastern lady who was in charge (and the main offender of blatantly ignoring me), how her rude and offensive her actions were and how I felt she was being and rude to me by taking the order of customer that came in behind me?!?!?! I enjoy a good sandwich, and Subway can deliver. Now this Subway is small, an grab your food and run kind of place due to the lunch crowd. You can go to the commisary to get a sandwich nut lets be honest subway will get you out faster and actually enjoy you food. If you feel like a sandwich during the work week, I would suggest getting there early or better yet if they are open before you go to work get your lunch then to avoid the crowd read more

I went to this Subway at 7:45 AM to get a sub to take for lunch. The young man asked for my order which I gave him promptly, 6 inch roast beef on honey oat no cheese, add avacado and mustard. Simple enough! The worker began to prepare my sub and after cutting the bread told me he had to bake the bread before he could finish my sub or there would not be bread for anyone. I told him I need to get to work. he proceeded to perpare 4 trays of bread for baking! he put 3 trays in and on the fourth he had to take the time to add peppers on each individual loaf slowly and carefully. thinking he was then done I was relieved but no...then he had to place the shredded cheese on each loaf. I can understand if I had a large order having to wait. this became humerous to me with nervous laughter.
