Been trying to get my refund and seems impossible to get through via phone or the manager is gone for the day. I don't know what's so hard about putting the 2 packs of cookies that I paid for. The black lady don't know her name but works at night rung me up and never put our cookies in the bag. I have my receipt and I haven't got a phone call from the manager. I feel like fast food joints only get reviewed when they screw up. I'm on a quest to shout out some great "normal" fast food experiences. I Had to be on the freeway in a flash the other day but was starving the other day. Of course Urbane was slammed, so I ran in to my trusty Subway. Terrible. Usually a great place that never messes up my order but this time they messed it up twice. ordered two sandwiches on the app, when we picked it up and drove home we realized both sandwiches were completely wrong. We had to drive back and when we told the employee he looked annoyed and asked up why it was wrong. My partner told him that the two sandwiches were completely different from our order. He annoyingly remade the sandwiches, only to make them wrong again! How do you toast the sandwich yet the meat and cheese are cold and unmelted? When you order the footling pro (double protein) and get home to find out it's just a regular sandwich, disappointment sets in. The guy making sandwiches could care less. This was my 10-year old son's first visit to a Subway. He's a somewhat picky eater that turned vegetarian. We were going to go to the In-n-Out, where he likes the "grilled cheese burger", but the line was super long and the place was filled. My son had seen the Subway sign and was very curious as there is a YouTuber he follows that often talks about Subway. Saturday at noon and the Subway is empty. Double-checking the menu to confirm that the only option he'll like is a Veggie Delite. The server was really nice and walked my son through the different options, confirming with him when he said "no" to something. She gave him sample of some of the peppers to see if they were too hot. The take away is that my son at the whole thing and said it was good. And said that we should go again if the In-n-Out is too busy...(thus the four stars...still not as good as In-n-Out)... read more

I love Subway and their $5 foot longs are a great deal! I particularly like this Subway because they move the line through so quickly, it's usually pretty clean and they don't seem to run out of bread or cookies. Today, Betty helped me with my sandwich and I wanted to give her a great review. She had a smile the entire time, added extra spinach and onions when I requested it and politely asked if I wanted additions, rather than blandly stating it like most. Great employee! I visit this Subway often enough they'll know my name soon enough! ------ Yes, their sandwiches are very bready, but for a "build your sandwich" type place, what they offer is a great deal! At least 50% of my dining out visits are to Subway. I love the foot long veggie delight on whole wheat. My hubby loves the buffalo chicken on whole wheat, and we keep calories down by skipping the cheese and sauces, just veggies and occasionally mustard. I LOVE that for the meal deal you can skip the chips and have (2) cookies instead! Their cookies are like crack, I don't know what they put in them or how they make them, but I seriously crave them all the time. The subway itself my favorite fast food. But at this particular place, Deliya (the server) put little meat inside of the sandwich. As I asked her why it so little she answered that I can buy extra for 0,75 cents. I'm a regular customer of Subway. I know how much meat put everywhere. Hi. I was just in here today and I wanted to speak about the young lady who helped me... Now before I go on let me say my service was fast and efficient. The only comment I wanted to leave was the young lady who helped me "Azereth" was her name I believe, her costumer service wasn't the best, she didn't smile or make any eye contact. They had a row of sandwichs lined up (cater maybe) i don't know but she placed my sandwich in the oven and when it was done toasting she grabbed it and just set it down and didn't let me know it was mine so me thinking of the whole row of sandwiches she just stood there and I had to ask if it was my sandwich... my only suggestion is to smile more. This isn't the best subway location but it's convenient. I always has homeless harassing you before and after your meal here. I usually get a simple sandwich but everything is already fallen out by the time I get home and open my sandwich so I pretty much have to remake it. It's hard to justify getting Subway when Urbane is right next door cranking out the most delicious focaccia sandwiches. The good thing about this Subway is that the hours are great. They are open early and close late so you can grab a sandwich whenever you need it. I'm just not the biggest fan. I've found that cleanliness can be a common issue at Subway and after so many friends getting sick from Subway sandwiches, I always get a bit nervous before trying another one. This is one of those annoying Subways that is in a lack-luster strip mall and is in the vicinity of both USD as well as the trolley stop. If you come in here for lunch it is always busy, so one might think that they would be prepared for the daily rush. The workers there seem really sad and depressed and this is not even the Emo Subway of Mission Valley. The sandwich artist that day could seem to care less about making my sammy, and made the whole process unappealing by just squirting out the mustard and mayo willy-nilly. Part of the reason that I hate this Subway is really the complex that it is in; there is no parking, and there are annoying USD students and tons of Zonies here all the time. Why an Arizonian would choose this Subway is beyond me, but the only thing that I can think of is that they are visiting their children at USD. You've seen the ads. You've heard the song. You know the deal. $5 footlongs. Subway has always had good subs at decent prices, but now that you can get a twelve incher for a mere five-spot, it's practically a steal. But that's old news already. These days Subway is trying to push something new: breakfast. They're now throwing meat, precooked egg product, veggies and cheese on flatbread and calling it a breakfast sandwich. The Western & Cheese seemed like a good idea at first, but I found it to be somewhat lackluster and not very delicious. Perhaps I'll give the other breakfast sandwich a try, or go to another location to see if they make it better. Or, maybe I'll just stick to the regular subs and pretend this whole breakfast thing never happened. Subway is with a doubt an underdog in the breakfast game. With tastier options out there for breakfast, like burritos and burgers, they need to come up with something better if they want my breakfast business. This part of town has little in the way of anything, aside from convenient stores, donuts, & sandwich shops. If you can find a place to park (unlikely), this subway will give you the fastest service of any food places in the area. They have a few smiling faces working here, so that's a plus. There are several homeless in the plaza, many eager to take what isn't theirs.. so keep your purse/wallet close and I would avoid eating outside. read more

I am not excited about the five dollar foot long this month. Pepporoni meatball tastes like butthole. I do not like writing reviews about chains, but I felt as though the people working here were extra nice and tried to be extra helpful. This location discriminates against the poor. It doesn't accept SNAP cards, aka EBT cards, aka food stamps. Additionally, when I placed my order I asked for it to be deluxed, which it was not, it was made on Italian when I had request 9 grain. Located next to the Morena Blvd trolley station, these folks know how to make your sandwich fast so you can catch your ride. However, one day when I went there and placed an order and told the staff what I wanted on the sub, the staff member started making faces and started looking at other staff member and giggle. I asked them what was so funny so they both got on defensive and said sorry. I asked them again if they have any problem, one of them got aggressive now. Caveat (confession): I'm not really a sandwich person, so what am I doing in Subway? There is one next door to my nail salon, and I'm there around lunch time, so I go in sometimes. The only thing I've found that I like is their tuna salad sandwich. The 9-grain wheat bread is pretty good, and their cookies are good. Staff is always very friendly. Over the past few months, I've really become a fan of Subway and this is a great Subway! I actually do believe it's a healthy choice. I am certainly eating more spinach these days :) I love their broccoli soup! Their monthly $5.00 foot long specials are a great way to try new sandwiches, although, I really do love their tuna. The last three times we've been here they were rude and would not honor the buy two get one free that has been advertised. They charge you for more cookies than you ask for them when you tell them they say well just keep it. If we wanted more we would have asked for more. Not be charged for it then told to keep it. So this is a fairly clean establishment except the bathroom. The location is pretty good right in the shopping plaza of Morena Vista however the service is rather poor and you have to be very patient and also detached. It's almost the place you call ahead and pick up as to not deal with slow service. It was a 20 minute wait until my turn last night with 1 staff member. The longest yet.
