We stopped in on a Thursday evening, and there was even live music that night. We have heard great things about the wings, and that's what we were here for! We tried five or six flavors and they were all cooked perfectly. Little crisp on the outside but juicy on the inside. My only complaint is that I would've preferred the sauced wings, a little saucier, but I know for next time to just ask for extra sauce. One flavor was on the milder side and wasn't my favorite, but it's also something that my husband picked out and I would not have ordered so we will let that one pass. Lol We did not sit at the bar, but our server was the bartender, and she was very helpful both in giving us information about the history of the family owned restaurant, and about wing sauces and food choices and she even made my husband a martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, even though she said that is not on the menu and no one has asked that before. She was happy to put on a pair of gloves and stuff some olives for him.

Every day I go in there and order the same thing. Egg and cheese with pepper and ketchup. If questioned further I make sure there never salt . Health reasons. I've even had conversations with Ricky about salt. Fast forward to Sunday morning. I walk in and order. Same convo . Egg and cheese ? Yes with pepper and ketchup . I sit down on the bench in front of the register by the other guy and pay for my meal. He overcharged me again like always. I never said anything because the food was good and it was already cheap and I just wanted my sandwich so I can leave. This time the guy gets up and goes over by the grill. I look up at their tv monitors and I see him over by the grill. He has never gone over there on any previous business. It looked like he was adding seasoning but I couldn't see it that good. Mine was the C only sandwich in the grill. When it's done Rocky says ketchup salt pepper? I say no. Ketchup and pepper only. No salt . Salt is bad. I get my sandwich and get in my car. I get out on the road and I took a bite. Something different. Took another bite. Salt and an f- ton of it. I knew it was salt as my mouth dried out , I began getting a bad headache. I tossed the sandwich . I couldn't go back due to having to get to work so I called. Rocky answered and denied using salt. I told him that I didn't believe he used salt but I know that I saw the other guy add it to my food and I told him he lost a customer for putting health in jeopardy. I'll never. There again. I would give zero stars if i could for this.

"No matter where I go I know where I came from…read more From the Bronx" (Jennifer Lopez) Trivia Time! Q: Name the only New York City borough that's part of the United States mainland? A: The Bronx! Besides Jennifer Lopez, the Bronx may be best known as the birthplace of Hip Hop music, Arthur Avenue Italian bakeries and grocery stores, Yankee Stadium and the NY Yankees. It sure looks like the owners of Oxford's ''The Bronx Deli" are Yankee fans, because their sandwich menu has over 20 choices named after Yankee stars or baseball in general, plus hundreds of NY Yankee photos on their wall. Some of the sandwich names are The Yogi with chicken and eggplant, The Babe with turkey and pepperoni, The O'Neill Deal with ham, sopressata, salami, and provolone, Bern Baby Burn with chicken, hot peppers and mozzarella, and the coolest one -Robbie Cano, Don't Ya Know with Roast Beef, American cheese and red peppers. We wanted to pick up something to have for dinner last night and decided on a Goodfella grinder ($10.99) with Eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, oil and garlic, and a side of tortellini salad with peppers and sun dried tomatoes. The grinder was terrific -a big loaf of perfect Arthur Avenue bread, plenty of fresh eggplant and mozzarella slices, and nice marinated red pepper slices. (Pro Tip - the Goodfella doesn't include marinara sauce -if you want that order an Eggplant Parmesan sandwich). The tortellini salad was very good as well, plenty of pasta and tomatoes in a balsamic dressing. Our grinder and side totalled just $17 -not bad for a dinner for two. We dealt with two employees. The young lady who rang us up was a sweetheart -super nice and much more engaging than the young man who made our sandwich. As a former Bronxite myself, I loved visiting the Bronx Deli and checking out the photos on the wall. My favorite was an autographed picture of Yankee royalty taken at an Old Timers Day -Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra and Casey Stengel. All are Hall of Famers. Go check out the Bronx Deli if you're either a lover of Italian food, a Yankee fan, or both.

Five stars forever for the homerun grinder. It's my favorite hot grinder of all time. That is all.read more

That said, it does seem like the owner could benefit from hiring a few additional staff members to better keep up with customer volume. My party waited a noticeable amount of time for food and drinks, even though it wasn't particularly busy compared to times I've seen in the past. The service itself was great, and the staff worked hard despite being stretched thin. Overall, the food and drinks were excellent, and with a little more staffing, the experience would be even better.

Im not interested in your 1975 chairs but I am INDEED moving a chair so my nephew can sit down. Im thinking Im being HELPFUL so I don't have to bug anyone but instead, she tried to sh*t on me in front of other patrons. After that, our vibe was not vibing and we did not order drinks as we had planned and left. I was really hoping this tanking restaurant would have been a winner as we have a LARGE circle of friends in the town & I we all love giving business to mom and pops hanging by a thread. Too bad.
