Incredible matcha!! I ordered the caramelized banana matcha latte. It was perfect! Not too sweet but also not too bitter. Inside the coffee shop is adorable. Very beachy vibe. They have plenty of indoor seating and a cute patio for outdoor seating. The baristas were friendly and made the drinks fast! I also ordered the blueberry scone and it was moist and delicious.

Sea salt cold foam matcha and added vanilla syrup for extra sweetness. Definitely recommend for their seasonal drink!

Got the salted vanilla matcha and added vanilla syrup because I refuse to drink anything that doesn't taste like a treat. And wow... Sur Coffee understood the assignment. Sweet, creamy, salty, and dangerously easy to finish in five minutes. The shop is super calming inside too--like "maybe I'll finally organize my life" energy. Took my little matcha photoshoot and lived my best coastal-girl moment. Great spot, great drink, zero notes.

Located right next door to North Shore Poke Co, this coffee shop focuses on top-quality coffees and lattes along with a great collection of coffee-related items for at-home use, including a coffee maker and coffee filters from Japan. The matcha latte with almond milk was super tasty and the matcha was most likely really good stuff from Japan. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and we even discussed parking options in the area. The ambiance is very bright and inviting, as well as well-designed and clean. It's a great place to grab a drink after some world-class poke next door.

I walked into this place around 8am. They had some people already inside! The barista that took my order was very sweet! She gave me her favorite pour over recommendation which was amazing 5/5! The Guatemala pour over had great flavor! I prefer to get my pour over iced!!! The inside of the store was great nice and clean!

1. The matcha latte was made nicely! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes, and it is close to the beach! 3. There is a small number of seatings available inside and outside! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! 5. Beach Parking, Meter Parking, and Neighborhood Parking are available! Note: There is a restroom for customers! Photo: Matcha Latte

Only got black coffee on the go since I was in the area and needed quick caffeine. My reivew was only in the black coffee. Not sure what's going on but it tasted sour. I know she had to make a new batch and I waited before getting the coffee.

Delicious coffee, cute shop, and amazing customer service every time!! My favorite coffee shop in the area!

Yum! Lavender iced coffee

Popped in before the surfing competition today, expecting nothing and left with not one, but two drinks! Yum! The menu is simple, but with exactly what I love- lavender, so I ordered a matcha iced with lavender, but an iced coffee with lavender came out. I didn't mind, so I wasn't going to say anything, but the barista corrected herself immediately, and I got to sip and try both drinks. The baristas were all friendly and warm. The store itself is small and cozy, but the ambiance is great! Definitely will stop by again if I'm ever in the area. 4 stars for the initial drink mistake, no public restroom, and the matcha being pre-made.

Best coffee, friendliest staff and dog friendly! my dog love it here and they make the best coffee.

The banana flavor comes through so nicely and the coffee itself is not too sweet so the drink is nicely balanced. I'm not a matcha fan myself, but I really liked the matcha version of this drink (slightly better than the coffee actually!) because the matcha is so smooth. My sister got the Earl Grey Matcha and it was also very tasty and smooth. The service is excellent. It gets busy with students, but you'll get your drink pretty quickly. Seating can be limited, especially for groups. We came during the week around 3pm and the seating was a bit full, but we managed to get a table for us three. Also, not sure if they have a small selection of pastries in general but we didn't see many when we came in. It's possible they sell out quick!

I was soooo excited because I love the taste of corn milk with coffee and it's not often sold at coffee shops. Based on taste, it's average, not the best but not the worst when it comes to balancing the sweet subtle flavor or corn and the intense bitterness that comes from coffee. I was actually quite surprised how much better the taste was than expected. It does lean a little bitter if you are one who likes your beverages very sweet. The reason why I was disappointed was because they didn't strain the corn so it was very grainy. It does not feel elevated when there are little bits that add nothing but an unflattering texture. Sorry Brew Story, I couldn't get over it. The second time I went, I tried a simple matcha latte iced. Sadly the matcha did not taste good. Thankfully it wasn't the super sweet almost cheap flavor i don't like, but i couldn't really appreciate the matcha flavor at all. Maybe I had bad luck on the days i went? I really didn't want to feel this disappointed. The space is really cool though, lots of tables and seats. They did a great job with the design.

The coffee is on point and the food is fresh. The first time I tried the breakfast tacos with chorizo and I was just in heaven. But I was even more amazed when I got the BLT on the homemade focaccia bread. Oh my goodness, the bread was a perfect mesh of crispy outside and soft inside. I have no idea how that did it, but I was seriously in love with this sandwich and am still thinking about it as I write this. The tomato was fresh and the lettuce was crisp and the entire thing was a culinary masterpiece (for a sandwich). The aioli on it was perfect. The coffee is also great and I tried both a mocha as well as their regular coffee. Everyone is extremely nice and they go out of their way for your experience. Many cyclists stop here after a ride, so keep an eye out as the place fills up!

The whole place is filled with succulents (as it should be!). The vibe is super fun and unique, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I ordered a vanilla iced latte and a breakfast sandwich, and both were amazing. The sandwich was perfectly balanced--crispy, flavorful, and just melted in your mouth. It came with a salsa that completely elevated it, and the best part is you can actually buy jars of it to take home (which I highly recommend). They have both indoor seating and a small outdoor patio with umbrellas, which makes it a great spot to hang out. Just a heads up--parking can get a little tight since it's in a small lot, so you might need to park on the street. If you're heading to the beach and want a solid coffee and food stop, this place is definitely worth checking out!

I pulled up while waiting on my sandwich from a nearby spot (multitasking at its finest), and decided to do what any self-respecting coffee enthusiast would do--wander into a local coffee shop like I know what "notes" I'm tasting. The barista immediately passed the vibe check and recommended the Groovy Gorilla iced latte--his personal favorite. Then he casually mentioned he makes it his own way, like some underground coffee remix. Say less. I told him to bless me with the custom version, and he delivered. (Shoutout to that man--he knew exactly what he was doing.) I also grabbed a massive chocolate chip cookie with sea salt flakes because... balance. You can't just have a handcrafted latte without a cookie the size of your face. That's against hipster coffee bylaws. First sip of the latte? Yeah... I got it. Banana, chocolate, peanut butter--basically if a smoothie and a dessert had a highly caffeinated, well-dressed child. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Only downside? It's in Huntington Beach and not LA, which feels like a personal inconvenience to me. But if you're anywhere nearby, this spot is absolutely worth pulling up to. Final verdict: great coffee, great vibes, and a barista who might secretly be a flavor scientist.

Not the best for drinks but a good option if you need a place to work/study that opens somewhat late & isn't crowded. We tried the matcha monkey (banana matcha) and their new summer drink, melona matcha. Their banana matcha was pretty sweet and strong in banana flavor in the cream top and syrup, but lacked the taste of matcha. Same for the melona matcha. Super refreshing as it's made with cantaloupe milk but no matcha. Not bad but they're not known for their matcha, so I would stick to their coffee. Minor things to note - they blast the AC so I would make sure to dress warmly or bring a jacket. Parking can be a bit rough but I confirmed with the barista that they don't check parking at the front, so you can ignore the time limit!

The location has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio, and inside there is a first floor seating area, and a second floor seating area. The interior had high ceilings and modern practical decor. Staff will take your order at the cashier, but they also have a kiosk if you want to avoid human interaction. I was here for a few hours, so I started off with a hot beverage since I saw that they have mug service. I had the hot Churro Latte ($8.15/large) and I was warned it's a bit sweet so staff suggested that I get it less sweet. I appreciated the gesture but maybe that's why I didn't taste too much of the churro flavor. It tasted like a good regular latte but maybe they held back on the caramel and cinnamon to the point I couldn't detect it. Seating is first come first serve. It was actually really busy and difficult to find an ideal spot. Since I was alone I sat at a high top ledge, strategically near an outlet. From what I saw, they had a really good amount of outlets in the indoor seating area. Later on I went back and ordered an iced Blueberry Lavender Matcha with Cold Foam ($9.25/large) and a Deluxe Avocado Toast ($15) which comes with egg, bacon, and herb oil. I like that this location serves the avocado toast with a knife and fork cause it was much needed. It was a bit on the wet side. Maybe I should ask for light herb oil next time. For how much this avocado toast cost, I would have liked more avocado. The avocado was more of a spread, not whole slices of avocado. Still good, just an observation. The blueberry lavender matcha was okay. I could taste the lavender but it was overpowering the matcha and the blueberry was hard to detect at all. Honestly the location and plentiful seatings is what stood out most from this experience. I would consider coming back since I know their products are good from trying their other locations but I wouldn't get the drinks I ordered this time. For how expensive coming here was, I wish I was a little more satisfied.

Excellence in every Roast. at Mameya, there is precisely. And passion to every bean. Service is great. The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly if you have any questions or inexperienced. The ambiance is intimate and rather small. There isn't a lot of space where you can sit or stand. Pros: I ordered their pour over common blend and it was solid. I also grabbed a 12oz bag of their Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural. It took about 20 minutes for them to complete the roasting process. After 4 days, I grinned the beans for a pour over and could tell this was already going to be a decent cup of joe. I did not see any significant bloom but the draw time was great based on my grind size. Cons: This shop is too far and too small so if there is a line and you don't have time, you might have to skip the experience. While I don't anticipate Mameya expanding, I would come back in a while.
