Got the salted vanilla matcha and added vanilla syrup because I refuse to drink anything that doesn't taste like a treat. And wow... Sur Coffee understood the assignment. Sweet, creamy, salty, and dangerously easy to finish in five minutes. The shop is super calming inside too--like "maybe I'll finally organize my life" energy. Incredible matcha!! I ordered the caramelized banana matcha latte. It was perfect! Not too sweet but also not too bitter. Inside the coffee shop is adorable. Very beachy vibe. Service was great but coffee was not. I didn't like it my first time coming but decided to come back and give it another shot. The espresso was so bitter and tasted overall burnt which made the drink not enjoyable. Located right next door to North Shore Poke Co, this coffee shop focuses on top-quality coffees and lattes along with a great collection of coffee-related items for at-home use, including a coffee maker and coffee filters from Japan. The matcha latte with almond milk was super tasty and the matcha was most likely really good stuff from Japan. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and we even discussed parking options in the area. The ambiance is very bright and inviting, as well as well-designed and clean. Popped in before the surfing competition today, expecting nothing and left with not one, but two drinks! Yum! The menu is simple, but with exactly what I love- lavender, so I ordered a matcha iced with lavender, but an iced coffee with lavender came out. I didn't mind, so I wasn't going to say anything, but the barista corrected herself immediately, and I got to sip and try both drinks. The baristas were all friendly and warm. The store itself is small and cozy, but the ambiance is great! When I arrived at this little coffee shop after a 2.5 mile walk with my pups it's like a fresh breath of air. Ordering is easy and they have recommendations by the register. Staff had all smiles but when your by the beach and see pup cups all day all you can do is smile. I did not get any food but the pastries they had looked delish! As an HB local, I love going to SUR and have been a frequent visitor since it's been open! Drinks: 5/5 + Blue Matcha Although pricey, I love the coffee here especially the lattes! They are so yummy and even though they can be on the expensive side, I think it's worth the price, as the quality of your drink does make up for it. My personal recommendations are the Blue Matcha Latte and Peppermint Mocha Latte (seasonal). I also love going to the barista and asking for their personal recommendations if you don't know what to choose; I've been personally delighted every time! Service: 4/5 Space is clean and ambience is great for a nice work day/study session with friends. It's walkable to the beach so you can enjoy a nice coastal stroll after you grab a coffee which is a HUGE plus! My only gripe is that it doesn't have a public bathroom, even for customers. For a coffee shop, I think it's such a big disservice to customers! Anyways bathroom aside, I think it's a great spot to hit if you're craving coffee and want a nice place to chat with friends! I come here sometimes and yesterday I got their matcha and that was the only drink I had all day, fast forward to 6pm I felt lightheaded and body was shutting down. Stomachs was in so much pain that it made me realize I don't ever want to drink any caffeinated drinks. Tried the housemade vanilla in an iced latte. Didn't taste like vanilla at all. There were espresso grounds all over the bottom of my drink. The barista was nice but the drink was gross. I wish I had stopped at Hola Adios, Kit, or Neat in Costa Mesa on my way to the beach. Had to step over two large dogs three times when I got up to get water and then leave. Coffee shop tucked in downtown Huntington Beach. There are plenty of seats, which are all very clean and decor is cute! I ordered a hot latte and my bf got the iced americano. The americano was pretty standard, the latte was also very standard. The coffee here isn't really too strong, but my latte was pretty milky. My latte was also not that hot, but it was just warm. Ambiance - 3/5 - I can see they're going for a modern coffeeshop vibe but felt half-baked. Service - 3/5 - Staff was friendly but at times I'm not sure if they were qualified to be making coffee due to possible lack of training/experience. Food - 1/5 - Ordered an iced americano and just watching them make it i knew it was not going to be good. I should've tried it on the spot but waited until I got to my car. Took a sip and it was terrible. Pretty much tasted like watered down cigarettes. Overall, I would not recommend. There's other coffee shops nearby so perhaps go there instead. Enjoy! read more

I visited Inc Coffee Roasters around 12:30 pm on a Monday and luckily snagged a parking spot right…read morein front as someone was leaving. Parking is somewhat limited, but once inside, there was plenty of seating and lots of natural light. It wasn't very busy when I visited, so I was able to order and receive everything pretty quickly. I ordered the Breakfast Sliders and Einspanner Matcha. If you're coming here hoping for a Community Goods alternative, I don't think it quite lives up to that comparison. The Einspanner Matcha was very milk and cream-forward. Even in the photo, you can see that most of the drink is milk and cream with a relatively small layer of matcha in between. It's unfortunate because the matcha itself actually had a good flavor, and I think a stronger ratio of matcha to milk and cream would have made the drink much better. The Breakfast Sliders had good flavor as well, but the buns were toasted far too much during my visit. The edges were so crispy that they practically fell apart as I ate them. The idea is definitely there, but I would have preferred a much softer and fluffier bun, especially for this style of breakfast slider. Community Goods is a pretty high standard for me, so I don't necessarily expect another cafe to replicate it. Even judging Inc Coffee Roasters on its own, though, neither item was particularly memorable for me. It's not a bad option if you're already in the area and want a quick drink or bite, but there are a few things I think could be improved before I'd go out of my way to come back.

There was a tall woman behind the counter this time. We went through the typical spiel of what can I get you? Comes with a cold brew, etc etc. But after I walked away, 3 of her colleagues came up to chat and show pictures. As they were chatting I heard her say "I ain't got time for cold brew" and look directly at me. Then they split up and she went to stand at the other end of the counter while the 2 people she was chatting with came behind the counter and started sharing pictures or whatever. It just came off rude. I love this place and these are our favourite beans but just really crappy feeling as a local customer.

The cold brew with foam failed to impress, lacking the expected flavor and appeal. Additionally, the cappuccino left much to be desired as the milk tasted old and bitter, indicating a lack of freshness. It also wasn't properly made as a cappuccino, lacking the proper textures. Sur Coffee in Huntington Beach is a standout coastal specialty coffee shop and roastery. With a commitment to sourcing beans from farmers worldwide, they offer a diverse and high quality selection. I stopped by this coffee shop this morning between 7:30 and 8 am. When I greeted the barista, she just stared at me without saying anything, which made the whole experience feel a little awkward. I placed my order, and she turned the payment screen toward me without speaking. Honestly, I would feel uncomfortable giving such minimal service and then flipping the tip screen to a customer. matcha was okay! it was very milky and i believe my matcha was flavored but it was very faint i don't even remember what it was. workers were super kind tho and space was very cute! don't think i would go again just cause i like more strong matcha taste but it was very milky here read more

I have asked them to please put the sign to the side so wheelchairs and strollers can use the sidewalk on 5th street and guess what? They continue to place it so you can't use the sidewalk. Maybe they should try to be in a wheelchair for a few days. read more

Parking is somewhat limited, but once inside, there was plenty of seating and lots of natural light. It wasn't very busy when I visited, so I was able to order and receive everything pretty quickly. I ordered the Breakfast Sliders and Einspanner Matcha. If you're coming here hoping for a Community Goods alternative, I don't think it quite lives up to that comparison. The Einspanner Matcha was very milk and cream-forward. Even in the photo, you can see that most of the drink is milk and cream with a relatively small layer of matcha in between. It's unfortunate because the matcha itself actually had a good flavor, and I think a stronger ratio of matcha to milk and cream would have made the drink much better. The Breakfast Sliders had good flavor as well, but the buns were toasted far too much during my visit. The edges were so crispy that they practically fell apart as I ate them. The idea is definitely there, but I would have preferred a much softer and fluffier bun, especially for this style of breakfast slider. Community Goods is a pretty high standard for me, so I don't necessarily expect another cafe to replicate it. Even judging Inc Coffee Roasters on its own, though, neither item was particularly memorable for me. It's not a bad option if you're already in the area and want a quick drink or bite, but there are a few things I think could be improved before I'd go out of my way to come back.

It's hard to get any work done since the WIFI isn't always working on, and that wouldn't be an issue but the area has the worse reception to hot spot as well.
