The pastry window is enticing and I've had a couple of the baked goods and they've all been delicious. They also usually have a rotating array of samples up at the counter where you pay. The original reason I actually came here and keep coming back is that they're one of the few places in Seattle that serves Oatly oat milk and they don't charge me any extra when I ask for that in my americano instead of half and half :) read more

Couldn't decide which cookie I wanted from their selection, but got lucky with a variety pack of four day-old cookies with snickerdoodle, chocolate chip, sugar, and peanut butter for $5 as opposed to $2.75 each cookie otherwise (TIP!). Also convenient that they open till 10pm. Got sugar fix this time around and planning on coming back to try their special coffee and cake! This little coffee shop is sort of hidden, just off the main drag, across from Seattle Center. The pourover is fantastic. I usually make coffee at home, but if I'm out and need coffee, this is my go-to spot. It's good enough to enjoy without cream or sugar. Something else I look for in a coffee shop is ample seating. If I could write two reviews for this place, the coffee would receive a 3 star and the baked goods a 4. They need to work on the vibe in the place. Little details would go far. The pastries were just set on the counter with a plastic lid on top. The macarons were in a tupperware. The display is in need of an improvement which would make all the goods look much better. I purchased a snickerdoodle cookie which was large and soft. It was baked perfectly. For coffee, I ordered a non-fat latte with a lil bit of their homemade vanilla syrup and it was very sweet. This wonderful place has incredible food and drink and very wonderful staff, particularly Zach who today made everyone feel like their order was the most important thing he had to do! The location is great, ambience and design is really nice, but the coffee is meh. They made and extra pour over so were giving it away, after 2 sips I had to toss it. This is the second location and it's just as amazing as the first. Not only are the baked goods and drinks tasty, but the location and space is great. Lots of tables to hangout or work on my laptop. And the WiFi is super fast. Parking was easy as well! The staff is super friendly, the coffee is amazing since they use Kuma beans, but most importantly the food is delicious! Lunch offers sandwiches and soups that are both homemade and fresh. They even have breakfast sandwiches available. Swanky coffee shop but the customer service is trash. It's 8:00am and the baristas were extremely rude. They did not greet the customers and rolled their eyes when multiple people asked a question. Two people were working, one with light brown hair and one with a short cut. The barista with brown hair had a attitude and look as though she did not want to be working. I asked her about the menu and she looked annoyed The other barista with the short hair was making my drink, I was waiting at the bar and she said " I'll bring you you're drink" I did not order my drink for here and I wanted to add sugar to my latte. She then went on to ask, " Did you order it for here or to-go" I told her it ok because you already put it in a for here cup . She then said, I can put it in a To- go cup if that's what you ordered. Oh, so in love. So so in love. The coffee is amazing. I love how they make it, with one, very small piece of information: my coffee is never hot. It is more lukewarm, which I attribute to putting it in a regular ceramic mug that probably isn't warmed. And also, well, I don't like blistering hot coffee. It is perfect for me. I love the atmosphere. Sleek, modern but not pretentious. Relaxing. The only other nit-picky thing is that they don't have enough yummy food, just standard blah everyone else has. I know they say they get their food from London Plane, but I think if they just step it up a tad in the goodies, it would knock the block off the charts of coffee shop experiences. Your regular Molly Moos wraps, some sad looking cookies, a dry hunk of maybe a sweet roll of some kind- you get the picture. They know their coffee. You might have lukewarm coffee. Bring a rolling pin to decorate their wall and get free coffee! My white chocolate mocha was creamy and beautiful. Not as sweet as some but enough yummy for my taste (that doesn't like bitter coffee). Now I want to try their unicorn for it's sweetness! NOT impressed with their burnt sugar cake. It tasted like straight butter for frosting. Ew!! I had everyone in the family try it and no one wanted to finish that $6 slice of cake... Funny that a bakery with sugar in it's name made a cake that wasn't sweet enough. I'm turned off from trying their other pastries. I don't get it. This place doesn't get enough love. People rave about it on Yelp but it doesn't get enough coverage on coffee blogs (yes I follow coffee blogs). I almost missed it and I'm glad I didn't. It was a place on my list of places to visit but it wasn't a must visit. Well now it's on my always visit list. You can tell, the owner LOVES coffee. It's not just a job for him. He takes pride in what he does. He will gladly explain his beans, his brewing methods, and anything and everything related to coffee. I was my first time to the store and I explained to him that I'm a bit of coffee snob. Couple minutes after receiving my drink, he brought over some cups for me to sample. It was the same bean using two different washes (naturally processed and honey processed). They tasted distinctively different. I love it when stores go the extra mile to satisfy a customer. If you're looking for a nice and mellow place to study or do some work, Craftworks is a good place. This was my second time here. The first time was to try the coffee and just check it out, the second time I came here and did some work. From 12pm-4pm there was still ample seating and desk space. Wifi is pretty good and didn't get spotty at all Music is mellow enough and at the right volume The people that came in and out was still pretty good in terms of sound and not too distracting. Ive done work at Starbucks before and sometimes it's difficult to focus when it's so hustle and bustle and so many people socializing. Furthermore, sometimes finding a seat can even be difficult. The barista was also very sweet and friendly. Pricing wise was not bad either. I got the medium cold brew for here. The cup is slightly bigger than a Starbucks grande, but it is also about .50 more. Total with taxes was $3.23 ++ for also having a loyalty program when. Get 9 drinks and your 10th is free. read more

Nice little bakery and coffee shop. It's located in the massive, soulless, LQA ruining Expo building, so the interior is a bit sterile. They've Scandinavian-lite-ified it enough to make it welcoming enough to sit in for a spell. The pasties I've tried have all been good. I particularly enjoy the tiramisu. The coffee isn't earth-shattering but better than your average joint. The staff is friendly and not TOO hipster so that's a bonus.
