Very friendly service- we were the only ones when we walked in and the two girls at the counter greeted us immediately and let us know we could sample any ice cream we wanted. There are pictures all around the walls that show what some of their specialty orders look like and then a full menu above the counter. What is strange is that there are absolutely no prices anywhere. We ordered 3 things and they came out to about $23. I had a strawberry sundae. I'm glad I got the small one because it was HUGE and delicious. The 16oz is plenty to share with another person. My husband got a double scoop of ice cream in a waffle cone and he was very happy with it. I'd come back here for sure if in the area. It would be nice if they would put some prices up.

We were in desperate need of a snack after our kids worked out and this place did not disappoint. Their ice cream and shaved ice were phenomenal and tasty! We also enjoyed an elote, chili cheese fries, lemonade and nachos. If you haven't checked this place out, you need to now. Their service was great and friendly to everyone that came in.

Price: $$ Flavor: Good This small business had lots of snack options for when you're craving those yummy snacks! I had the mangonada and the Italian shaved ice was amazing! I do have to say that the mango was very hard and did not have time to ripen, and I get it! You don't want to waste the fruit and throw it away! So just expect some of you're fruit to be hard and not ripened. Overall the experience was great! I will be checking them out again!

Looking for a dessert place and found this jewel! Everything is homemade and delicious. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful with deciding what to get. Clean place, great parking, places to sit inside. We decided on the mangonada and strawberries and cream. The homemade cream was to die for, and beats La Madeline's Strawberries Romanoff - hands down. Will definitely be back and highly recommend

I hate to be that person, I never have before when it comes to small businesses but I left pretty disappointed from this place. Maybe they were just having a bad day, or fruit cups aren't their specialty or something. Everything is sour, and I've never had cucumber in a fruit cup. Mango is super sour and cut into tiny pieces. Cantelope and watermelon are slimy and soft, and I get to pay $9 to put lime, chamoy and chili powder myself. Everything else was fine, (it's hard to mess up hot Cheetos and cheese and a paleta) No prices are listed, or maybe I just didn't see them but I was looking.

I think this is a five star "hole in wall" type of restaurant. All the goodies and throwback treats that you normally have to wait for when the fair rolls in town. I had a fried snickers and it was way better than I expected. The oil it was fried in was clean and she did a good job removing excess oil from the breading. Excellent treat that is definitely meant for a day you want to eat a cheat meal. My wife had the churros and ice cream. I also got a shaved ice, corn in cup, and ice cream to go for my kid. I highly recommend the corn in the cup. You can taste the authenticity in how the corn is acquired and cooked. All the flavors come together well, and I can't to get another cup of it.

The guy at the counter made the experience great very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a sandinada not sure if that's how you spell it and it was so delicious the flavors taste like authentic watermelon not processed. It's like a mangonada but watermelon. Cheap as well. People complaining about wait times we have gone three times now and two out of three times it was empty so very quickly . One time it was busy and we had to wait about 20 min but it's understandable it was only one guy people need to chill. Sit down and be patient. Great place definitely found my dessert place when craving something sweet. read more

I definitely would not call the setting"nostalgic'. We found it loud and agitating and we couldn't wait to get out of there. Large screen TV blasting a car chase scene with F bombs. The chairs were cheap and the tables wobbling. On our first visit we waited 20 minutes for a scoop of ice cream . One guy at the counter waiting on everyone. He was polite and apologized for the wait. We always want to give businesses a second opportunity . We found our experience underwhelming. Again one guy at the counter and long wait for ice cream . Not to mention no prices listed anywhere. Not acceptable . We won't be back. read more

We went here a couple days ago and it wasn't what I expected. Ordered a fruit cup and the mango was literally just from a frozen bag of fruit. Was hoping to get fresh mango like most other places serve. On top of that the prices were very high. I was charged $10 for a cup of frozen fruit, wasnt even fresh. This place is way overpriced, rather go to Las Nieves. read more

When we got there no one was there and we weren't sure it was open from the outside. We must have come at a good time bc we had no wait but after a few minutes several more parties came in and the tables were all taken. Homemade ice cream and churros filled with something delicious were the highlight of our visit. They have lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. The cheesecake flavor was really good, milky and full of flavor and we also really enjoyed the gansito ice cream. The mangonadas look to die for but we didn't have enough room for one. Was tasting for a funnel cake so I gave them a try. First thing I noticed was there wasn't any prices displayed. Price was over $10 since they don't let you know there is a $3 charge if you don't use cash. The cake was large, hot, hard to cut and raw in the middle. Threw half of it away and will try someplace else next time read more

There are so many options for snacks and everything tastes fresh and authentic, especially the ice cream and shaved ice. The picadilly, nachos, mangonada, etc. are all amazing! I've been here now three times with my daughter, we love this place! Same nice lady running the place, making everything to order. I opt for this local spot over chain ice cream any day. We get a scoop of gansito ice cream for our fried Oreo's, perfect combo. read more

Terrible! The customer service was t the best. The ice cream wasn't good. I was just over all disappointed. Just wasn't quality to me. I will stick with my normal spot that has homemade ice cream and homemade popsicles. Definitely not worth the price. read more

I saw this place on a FB group and packed up the family to see what they had. Ice cream selection is top notch! They have Mexican specific flavors & regular flavors (vanilla, chocolate, cheesecake). I had the banana split & it was sooo good. They added everything on it, even the pecans. My picky child had vanilla ice cream in a cone and loved the waffle cone. Everything was great. read more

This shop sells fudge, truffles, candied apples, and - what I came for - ice cream! They had a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from, a least a couple dozen. The smiling young woman working behind the ice cream counter offered to give tastes, but I had already figured out which flavors I wanted. I chose two scoops in a cup, one of Cappucino Chip and the other Turtle Cheesecake. They have several tables to sit at, some along a hallway and more in a back room. I took a seat and was in awe of the huge scoops given. The Cappuccino Chip had a mild flavor (I prefer it stronger) but a fair number of tiny chocolate chips. The Turtle Cheesecake had an excellent cheesecake flavor with swirls of caramel, praline pecans, and caramel-filled mini turtles. I'm usually not fond of nuts in my ice cream but I actually enjoyed the pralines. In my humble opinion, there were too few turtles. But I still loved it. If you're in the mood for a cold, creamy treat while visiting the Alamo, you'll find this to be the perfect place to visit.

It wasn't just unprofessional--it was the kind of scene you'd expect in a low-budget psychological thriller where you start wondering if someone should call for backup. So while the ice cream itself and the front-line staff were great, the overall experience was overshadowed by the atmosphere at the register. Small, crowded, and unkind is not a combination that brings us back. We'll pass next time.

I got taro, lavender, and chocolate Oreo, and they were all so delicious and creamy. The portions were generous, and the price felt very fair for what you get. (They have a flight!!!) I also love the local, small, family-owned business vibe. The owners were very friendly, which made the experience even better. My only wish is that they stayed open later on Sundays. Right now, they close at 3 PM, and I would love to be able to stop by for ice cream on my way back to Austin in the late afternoon. The bagels are delicious, but they are the absolute wettest, slippery and slidey-est bagels I've ever had in my life. The meal is spent looking down and hoping my beloved or other guests don't see the schmear up to my nose. By the end, we are having to reconstruct our bagel, as it looks like roadkill on the table. It is not a user error, as we eat slowly and carefully. I even have friends who refuse to come back here because it was the messiest eating experience of their lives. It's so unbelievably messy. We have to rinse off in their bathroom before leaving. I have to take my rings off and put my hair up. It's a commitment, one we are not strong enough to make at this point. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.
