This is a beautiful place to go any kind of cake decoration you want made it will make it close to whatever you want kids love it adults love it elderly love it I love it I highly recommend this if you want to exotic cake it will make it for you not only that when you cut into the cake it has all the tender loving care that these people put into it I highly recommend this place they will make any cake in any occasion you should try them out next time there's an occasion or an event that you're going to this is top number one bakery that I've ever seen make cake just like the way you want it for the occasion

We've been lucky enough to work with Kristin for some of the most special celebrations in our family, and her talent is absolutely unmatched. For our daughter's first birthday, she created the most stunning princess-themed cake--almond-flavored with sugared almonds inside--along with an adorable smash cake. Not only was it breathtakingly beautiful, but it was also out-of-this-world delicious. She even made the cutest little flag banner spelling out our daughter's name, it was such a thoughtful touch and so well done. This Christmas, we made a unique request for a "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake (thanks to our 5-year-old's idea), and once again Kristin went above and beyond. The cake was even more gorgeous than I had imagined, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday (and a new tradition I think!) Next up is our son's 6th birthday, and she's designing a Deadpool and Wolverine cake--proving yet again there's truly nothing she can't do! Her cakes are the perfect combination of artistry and flavor, and every bite shows her incredible skill and attention to detail. I wouldn't trust anyone else to help make our celebrations this memorable. Highly, highly recommend!

There are not enough words to thank Kristin with Sugar Dot Bake Shop for the delicious cakes she so perfectly made for our son's first birthday. We ordered a 10inch custom specialty cake (confetti flavor with fresh strawberry and cake crunchies) and smash cake that matched but was baby friendly (which our son loved), and my only regret is not getting better pictures for this review because they don't do justice. Kristin truly helped make the birthday memorable and DELICIOUS! Not only did the cake completely finish (which is a first usually large cakes have left overs), but everyone could not stop talking about how amazing it tasted. There were definitely 2nds and 3rd helpings eaten! With all of this said, Kristin also made the process very smooth, was accommodating with pick up time, and even circled back after the party to check in. Phenomenal customer service! We look forward to ordering more cakes in the future.

Kristin was so incredible to work with and made my 30th birthday cake exactly as I wanted it. Not only was the cake beautiful, it was also delicious! Everyone asked for a second slice, and my fiancé definitely had a few extra bites when putting the leftovers away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and I will be placing future orders! Kristin has provided great service and communication for my son's last two birthdays. She can make a wide variety of celebratory treats for your party. For his recent birthday she made a delicious carrot cake with a jack skelington theme. The carrot cake was moist and delicious as she promised. On September 21st, my husband and I got married in Livermore, CA. After trying a few dessert shops we settled with Sugar Dot Bakeshop. We live in Walnut Creek and found Kristin after looking all over Yelp and Google. A few months before the wedding we did a trial to find out which desserts we wanted to do. Kristin gave us a sample of every type we were thinking of. In the end, we decided upon mini cupcakes (the same flavor of our wedding cake, vegan chocolate peanut butter mini cupcakes, dark chocolate strawberries, milk chocolate strawberries, mini doughnuts, Rice Krispies, brownies, lemon bars, chocolate chip cookies, and ultimately, our wedding cake. Kristin came all the way out to Livermore to deliver the desserts for our 140 person wedding. There was so much desert and honestly NONE was left! I found out later everyone went back for thirds and fifths of dessert they loved it so much. Sadly, my husband and I didn't get to have any! Note to future brides, designate someone to make you a dessert plate since you will be too busy. Luckily, I knew they were good already from the dessert sampling we did. My husband and I did eat our fresh strawberry wedding cake. It was delicious. We just wanted a small one to ceremonially cut. Half of it is currently in our freezer to eat on our one year anniversary! Kristin was even flexible with the flavors and designs. We did not like the original flavor of wedding cake and worked with her to find the most perfect one. Additionally, she was open to decorations and frosted the donuts and Rice Krispies in University of Oregon colors. It is our Alma Mater and where we met so this meant a lot to us. Kristin was fabulous to work with and we are so excited to use her services again in the future! Thank you again for making our day special. *I plan on adding more photos as I receive them!

This was the most delicious carrot cake I have ever had. We bought this cake for my dad's 65th birthday party with a Beach Boy's theme - it was perfect! Great service - wonderful cake!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Kristin went above and beyond to make a gorgeous cake for us with our perfect day. We had a beautiful spiced apple cake with salted caramel buttercream. Kristin was wonderful to work with. I was looking for a cake to celebrate my son's marriage. He and his wife met in college on the triathlon team and I wanted the cake to represent how they met. I highly recommend Sugar Dot Bakery. I do not live in Walnut Creek but was having my party at a local venue. After researching bakeries and corresponding with them I chose Sugar Dot. 10 stars really! I wanted a WOW cake for my friends 70's Birthday and it was. She loved all the details, cut out too, and she said she never tasted a cake like that. She likes fruit so the inside of the cake had crumbles pieces and strawberries too and an amazing velvety buttercream. Found Sugar Dot reading yelp reviews for a Pleasant Hill delivery. Such a delight! I ordered a dozen gluten free cupcakes (we devoured them before I remembered to take a picture), with confetti cake and vanilla buttercream. I wanted a simple, flavor/design, and they still turned out absolutely delicious and beautiful! Kristin was great throughout the whole process, and she is certainly great at her craft. We were so happy that we decided to go with Sugar Dot Bake Shop for our wedding cake. The staff is super friendly and easy to work with, and they went above and beyond for our business. In an industry that seems to want to overcharge for everything and squeeze you for every last dime it was refreshing to work with a company that was very reasonable in their pricing and went over the top to make sure we got the cake we wanted. We discussed different options between cup cakes, pastries, and a regular wedding cake to try and hit the price point we wanted. We decided to go with a traditional wedding cake, and they worked very closely with us on our vision, provided a lot of great flavor options to choose from, and in the end they delivered us a cake that was better than we even imagined. My partner's mom ordered a cake through Kristin for his 40th birthday. During the ordering process, Kristin's recommendation was spot on to celebrate this milestone properly, specially during these unprecedented times. The execution (of the surprise) was flawless, from the delivery (we were late meeting her at the door but she still managed to wait to remind us the storage instructions), to following up and making sure that we enjoyed it. The cake was beautifully presented, so decadent, and the bold lemon taste compliments the raspberry very well, finishing up with a frosting that's not too sweet. We were very hesitant to touch and eat it at first because it was so gorgeous, but when it's time, we loved every bit of it. Simply elegant and wonderful, that it really made my partner's birthday! Kristin totally saved my daughter's 1st birthday!! Our previous cake plans fell through a week before her party so I frantically called around. I came across the Sugar Dot Bake Shop on yelp and, based on photos and reviews, called to order a cake for my mother in law's 60th birthday. I called Tuesday for a Thursday order and Kristin was prompt to respond, assisted with which cake she recommended based on info given. Kristin was quick to send email confirmation, invoice and delivered the cake with instructions for how to store the cake until we enjoyed it. Absolutely beautiful cake and so incredibly delicious! My mother in law and family are still talking about how delicious the cake is! We did a 6" naked cake- vanilla with vanilla buttercream, strawberries and crunchies! She even threw on some party poppers and candle for the top! We will definitely order from here again for the next occasion!! read more

We contacted Kristin because she was one the few places where we could order a gluten free cake and she did not disappoint! From the very beginning she provided great customer service and made it easy to communicate via email. My daughter got really specific this year and asked for a birthday cake with a "vintage Mickey Mouse theme." The only design concept that I had in mind was maybe a black and white, cake with Mickey's head on it (not very imaginative), so I was delighted when Kristen immediately had not only design concepts, that I would but she also had most importantly, wonderful flavour concepts. The image speaks for itself! The design was beautiful, and the cake itself is one of the best I've had. My picky foodie parents could not stop raving about the light and not-overly-sweet buttercream, and most importantly, the birthday girl could not have been any happier. Kristen was very quick in responses, very interested in hearing what specifications I had or did not have, and very reasonable in requesting price point expectations. read more

Kristin did a wonderful job on our baby shower cupcakes. The theme was woodland creatures and Kristin recommended three flavors to go with our catered taco lunch. We had strawberry with vanilla frosting, pumpkin with cinnamon frosting, and chocolate with chocolate Kaluha frosting . They were perfect. Moist and delicious and no plates to clean up! I'm sorry the picture was not of the total display but I took a picture of what was left. I highly recommend Sugar Dot. Kristin delivered which was was a big bonus for me with everything else I had going on. I will definitely use Sugar Dot again. She was a delight to work with. Thank You Kristin!! read more

I was looking to have a birthday cake or cupcakes delivered to my granddaughter for her 3rd birthday. I called and emailed several bakeries and Kristin responded right away. She was so incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions. I ended up ordering cupcakes and cookies and she delivered them to the house on her birthday. They were perfectly decorated and my granddaughter especially loved the unicorn and rainbow cookies that she could paint herself. I loved that Kristin delivered what was promised. Not all businesses actually follow through with what they say they will do. I am incredibly impressed and will definitely order from Sugar Dot again in the future. My daughter had her first birthday party last week and the desserts were just so delicious and amazing. We also ordered a smash cake as well and I liked that Kristin checked with me if there were any allergies to be concerned about, as you never know with what is ok to give for a one year old. I have used Sugar Dot for several birthdays, two graduations and just because we wanted cupcakes (who doesn't? (-:). I love that she delivers and the vanilla is my teen's absolute favorite in the world. My dad's 80th birthday cake was gorgeous as was my high school graduation cake. I ordered a vegan cake from Sugar Dot Bake Shop this past Tuesday, for a Friday pickup & birthday celebration. Even though I gave Kristin only three days notice (if I ordered in the future, I'd give her more notice), she was fortunately able to accommodate me. Payment online was smooth & so was the pickup (I did a physical pickup, but I know she does delivery too). Kristin was also kind enough to throw in a little 'Happy Birthday' sign and a sparkling candle for the cake. The cake (pictured below) was simply delicious, probably one of the best vegan baked goods I've had. It had multiple layers of chocolate cake and vanilla icing, topped with strawberries and some chocolate decorations. You could taste the freshness in every bite and it felt every bit like a cake made with dairy and eggs. I don't know how she did it, but I definitely will be returning for other baked goods! read more

I first ordered cookies for the office in December to go along with our cocoa bar. They were decorate your own by "painting" them. I thought I ordered more than enough. Wrong! Well, I did but these cookies were so good they disappeared and I ended up ordering more. In the end I had doubled a very generous order. Then came our Principal's birthday. I ordered Carmel cupcakes. I had to actually hide four so he could take some home to his wife and kids. This is my Go-To bakery! Hands down the best. read more

We ordered cupcakes from Kristin for our gender reveal and they were amazing! Very tasty and super cute too- she even put toppers on them. We got the confetti cupcakes and the colored filling was sprinkles, which was fun! She was easy to work with and went out of her way to help us make it a special time and especially during Covid, the process felt safe with contactless pickup too. It was a very fast turn around- I dropped off the sonogram envelope with our results, and were able to pickup the fresh cupcakes in just a few hours... everyone loved the cupcakes. I ordered a 2 tier cake for my baby's first birthday. The top tier was used for a smash cake. I also ordered cupcakes and cookies. Kristin made ordering, design and pick up super easy and provided suggestions for adding cake crunchies (Idefinitely recommend). The cake was delicious- chocolate chip with chocolate buttercream between layers and the fresh strawberry cupcakes were the best. Everything was perfect - from communicating with Kristin, ordering, delivery. Not to mention how delish the vegan cake was. We have had vegan cake before but this one stands out. The moist, sweetness and design were perfect plus you get to choose your personalized cake topper too. We got naked vegan cake for my mom's birthday and she adored it. Receiving a texted coupon for 15% off my order, I was excited to use it since I needed a birthday cake. Though there was an online code, I could not use the discount online. I called the shop several times, but there was no answer, and I even left a voice message but never heard a call back. Finally I noticed there was number on the website to text so I did, and got a response. The response was that it was too late to order the cake, and the coupon couldn't be used online ordering system because the online ordering system was different from what was used in the store. BUT I was told I can still call my order in and pay in advance over the phone to get the 15% discount if I still wanted cupcakes, and if the store didn't answer, the person sending the text said he/she would contact the store. I appreciated that kind gesture. The next morning, I settled for cupcakes and decided to call the order in and pick up the cupcakes in the afternoon since I had no time that morning to go to the store. But lo and behold, I called and again no one answered. I texted the same number from the day before and a response came back that they would contact the store to give me a call. I checked in by calling the store two more times and still no answer. And no one called back that afternoon either. Sadly, I had to give up, but was glad to give business to a way more responsive bakery with delicious cakes.

When I reminded her that I had, she asked what I ordered--as if she hadn't personally rung me up. She then told me I needed to return to the backless barstool. I challenged this because it made absolutely no sense. There were plenty of open tables, I was a paying customer and I was within the posted two-hour limit. She simply repeated that it was the policy. To be clear, the problem isn't that the policy was poorly communicated. The policy should not exist in the first place. Kicking a paying customer out of an empty chair and directing them back to a barstool is a horrible business model that lacks basic respect and hospitality. I left angry, embarrassed and regretting the money I spent here. I will absolutely not be returning.

I added sago for texture and it did give it a nice profile overall. The 4 pieces of lychee also gave it added sweetness to my drink. It was chilled nicely and overall, it did brighten up my mood for the day. I think I need to go to 30% sweet and it will be perfect for me. Overall, I can see myself coming back here again.

The hygiene alone should be enough to make anyone turn around and walk out. The employee working the front repeatedly coughed into his hands, rubbed his nose, sneezed, then immediately went back to handling customers' utensils, napkins, and food-related items without washing or sanitizing his hands. It happened over and over again. It was honestly disgusting to watch. Basic food safety should never be optional. Then came the bill. Three items. One tiny crepe, one madeleine, and one quiche. Nearly $50. I actually thought there had been a mistake. The crepe was embarrassingly small, and the chicken inside was some of the worst I've had. It was dry, stringy, chewy, and tasted incredibly cheap. There was absolutely nothing fresh or high quality about it. The portions were tiny, the quality was poor, and the prices were completely disconnected from reality. My husband was born and raised in France, and we've spent plenty of time eating at cafés and bakeries there. This isn't even remotely comparable. It's an overpriced imitation that relies on the idea of being French instead of delivering food that's actually worth eating. If you're going to charge premium prices, then deliver premium quality, proper food safety, and an experience that justifies it. This place failed on every one of those fronts. We won't be back, and I genuinely can't understand why this place has the reputation it does.

I happened to find Kristen online. Only giving her 2 day notice, she graciously accepted my order for pumpkin cupcakes with cinnamon vanilla frosting. Best ever!!!!!!!! My daughter was blown away and couldn't believe the were gluten free. Her bestie also has a gluten allergy and LOVED them! We will absolutely use her again and can't wait to try the flavors. The cake in and of itself was lovely but what really upped the experience for me was a highly personalized, and pleasantly attentive service from the moment I called where Kristin helped me picked the flavor and the cake frosting and toppings to responding quickly to my follow up emails all the way up to accommodating a delivery date change to actual delivery. We had an assortment of the gluten-free cupcakes for a family celebration as my daughter has celiac disease. The cupcakes were divine and it was impossible to tell that they were gluten-free. I especially loved the raspberry and lemon flavors but they were all delicious! read more
