My daughter loves the smoothies and I love the Sugar N Spice blend of Coffee (vanilla, hazelnut, cinnamon). The one critique I have is that if I buy 4 donuts, they put them all in a small bag... always seems to have the frosted donut on the bottom. In my opinion, frosted donuts don't belong in a bag with multiple donuts, especially not on the bottom! Too messy and the frosting ends up all over everything else. Pretty decent place to grab a cup of coffee while in the area. In this area of Arizona there are not to many places to get a cup of coffee that are not of the chain type so Sugar N Spice feels the void in this area. Overall a pretty good place to stop by. read more

The donuts here are ok. It's like they used the same batter for everything. The strawberry shortcake is basically a donut cut in half with whip cream and strawberries but it wasn't something I would get again. The jalapeño croissant was ginormous but only filled with a slice of ham and a cheese spread. Decided to give this place a try today as its right across the street from my house. I got a dozen donuts, they have a great selection. Donuts are moist and very good. I'm partial to Dinkins myself and these are right up there! Loved the selection they have of croissants as well. I will be back to try their sandwiches. I also had their Sugar N' Spice coffee. Love going here for weekend breakfast and donuts. The service is what I enjoy the most. Everyone is treated like a regular and they make you feel like you are appreciated. I got a wheat bagel with cream cheese, and a small iced coffee with cream. The small coffee was the same size as a grande(medium) coffee at Starbucks, but the coffee tasted slightly stale. This may have been because it was noon and this is a small shop that probably doesn't get a lot if customers wanting coffee in the afternoon. The bagel was pretty good. You can tell that the bagels are homemade and I liked it. I'm curious to know if their cream cheese is also homemade because it was very creamy and a little messy. To me this place wasn't anything special but I would definitely try it again. I would like to try their muffins and pastries. read more

I wanted to give their coffee a shout out. I received two cups of coffee today from a student of mine unexpectedly. Once was Creme Brulee and the other was Sugar N Spice. He said to try one or both and spread the love about them. I gave the other cup to my co-worker and they enjoyed it! I don't live in that part of town, but thought this was the least I could do. What a nice little place. Coffee drinks were delicious. I had the breakfast bowl and my wife had a breakfast burrito. What I liked was that the serving size was reasonable and not overloaded. I would rather eat till satisfied than feel guilty about leaving food on my plate or feel overstuffed because I tried to eat everything. The prices were very reasonable. I used to love this place. Got home today with my half dozen donuts, they are SMALL. Probably 1/3 what they used to be. A few months ago they raised prices, I was ok with that. Now they decreased size, not ok. No longer recommend, Dunkin is just as good. read more

A place I visit often! For breakfast Sugar N Spice has delicious donuts, bagels, breakfast bowls and burritos, all at reasonable prices. We order salads and sandwiches for lunch at least once a week. I stop by once a month and take a few dozen donuts to work with me and our staff loves them. Kenny, the owner is always around and he's involved in the community. My favorite part of Kenny is that he helps our local schools and educators. The list of coffee, teas, frappés is too long to go into here but everything I have tried has been great. I am simple and usually prefer and unsweetened tea. They also make orders for cakes and cupcakes for special occasions. They did a poker themed cake for my husband's 40th birthday and it was gorgeous! read more

After my wife's encounter yesterday at Sugar anD Spice I have requested she never return to this "business". As she approached the front door there were 7-10 young people "children " sitting at the table outside. She felt very intimidated by the foul language and the total lack of decency projected by this group. As she was approaching the front door, she noticed a female customer get to the door and immediately turn around and leave. Their language was so foul that my wife , a former school counselor was sickened. She entered the shop and was greeted by a surly employee that was less than happy to serve her. Then a young man walked in and the counter person yelled to the back of the shop that this man had arrived. Then the other employee came from the back and began a conversation. My wife received her order and left. As she was departing an older couple pulled up in their vehicle, started for the door and turned around before they made it to the sidewalk. They got back in their car and left. Three lost customers in a matter of minutes. At one time there were signs posted that did not allow this loitering to happen. Apparently the owner is a absentee proprietor. We really loved their cinnamon buns, but we will find a place that is far less obnoxious to spend our money. read more

I've ordered out pastries here three times and each time they have been delicious. I saw that another reviewer received dry pastries, so I think they must have taken things up a notch as that has not been my experience thankfully. Walked into this place on a Friday around 2 pm, the place was pack full if high school kids, way too many for the how big this place is. We had the Italian soda which was great without cream and we had the mango boba drink which was also great but they forgot the boba balls. Been here once before but can't remember what we ordered.Today we ordered a smoothie, 6 donuts, a bagel sandwhich and a breve coffee. Everything was delish. The bagel was the real deal, chewey, soft and just the right amount of crisp. The coffee was okay...but I need to venture out and get a specialty one so I can make a determination on whether its better than just okay. The donuts are good...not too greasy.
