This is the best donut shop in the west valley. They have specialty coffees and donuts. They even have breakfast and lunch options. I had the Oreo donut and a butterfinger ice coffee. Both were amazing!!!!!! read more

Awesome place - nice to have something in Goodyear that isn't a chain. The staff and owners are always very nice, despite being non-stop busy. We ordered our gender reveal cupcakes form them and they turned out great. If you go to the trouble to steal a New York restaurant's Cronut recipe, make it known in Goodyear you make it, tell customers they make them every Sunday, then make them and don't tell the new customer "the owner didn't make them today because they went home early." Hidden gem alert! I had no idea this place existed until my husband took me about a week ago after he told me he had stopped for breakfast at a yummy place near our house. I haven't had the chance to sample everything here, but I had some truly high-quality loose-leaf tea! Some cafes kind of skimp on the tea quality, so I appreciated the variety they had to offer. Very quaint atmosphere! Can be a bit echo-y though, if there are lots of people there. read more

I do not know what happened with the previous reviewer and everyone is entitled to their own opinion however, not only are the people at Sugar and Spice great the goodies there are awesome! Pumpkin loafs, mini brownies, cookies and the pasteries are baked fresh every morning by Kenny and his crew. Moist, NOT dry and made with love. when i eat a donut from other stores like dunkin or rainbow there is the stale greasy after taste. i normally would burp that taste the while day. i am surprise with sugar n spice's donuts no after taste! i have found my special reward treat for myself. i have been raving about their apple sauce stuffed donut, boston cream and lemon donut those are the only ones i bought. there will be more flavors and goodies to try. anyway, i am going back today and bring a box to work, they want proof. folks from the east valley this place is worth the drive. read more

After seeing this bakery on the top list Trip Ad visor, I went there with high expectations. I found a micro shop, complete with a line outside to access it, which sells almost exclusive muffins and breads. The staff was friendly and the smell that came from the oven very good. I decided to try their famous cookies and I bought 2 types dark chocolate and the classic version with chocolate chips and walnuts. The were really huge, the typical American mega-portion. The flavor of both the first bite is very attractive the problem is continuing, in the sense that you will soon feel the heaviness of the butter are full and the overabundance of toppings makes it difficult to finish. I believe that putting this simple bakery in the top of the class is really excessive. read more

I used to love coming here everything was always fresh. Now it seems to cut corners they sell stuff that is at least a day old and charge full price. I have bitten into a pastry multiple times to find it dry and crumby. The cinnamon buns are always flat and dry, and the donuts taste and texture changes everyday. They need to have better consistency. Not worth it to spend money on things that aren't quality. On that note, the employees there are always so helpful and nice. Patient when you have questions, however there are a few employees I don't know how they're allowed to work there. The lady with the black hair in a pony tail always rushes customers and she has forgotten my husbands military discount on many occasions. I have also seen her reprimand an employee right in front of customers, which to me does not show good leadership. The African American girl with the short cropped hair has a bad attitude and it appears that it is an inconvenience for her to help customers. I would come in more often if they didn't cut corners and fired bad apples. read more

Been a customer ever since they opened. Their sweets are out of this world...the cinnamon roll - to die for. Yet I experienced the creme da la creme today. If you like banana cream pie, Kenny's individual banana cream pastries......think donut and banana cream pie with actual banana pieces hybrid....is absolutely the best. My daughter and I tried this place for the first time earlier this week and we were very impressed! What a wide selection of choices. Visited the Surprise location and maybe because it's a new location and not quite fully up to speed, it wasn't quite what I was hoping for. I was excited to find a place close by that would have boba drinks and some baked goods. Stopped by to get a cold taro boba although I usually order it hot. It wasn't very good. We did also get one of their blended coffee drinks and that was good. Ordered a couple croissants that were alright. But it was more just a donut shop which is not what I expected. Maybe next time they will have more things and the other boba drinks/tea might be better. I'll definitely give it another try. read more

My husband and I stopped by this morning to try their breakfast special. We had sausage, egg, and chedddar cheese on a croissant. The croissant was flaky. It was scrumptious and filling. My family LOVES Sugar 'n' Spice! We appreciate being able to support a locally-owned business, and they make it so easy to support them. The space itself is quaint and can get a little cramped when they get busy, but everyone is usually chatty and kind so it doesn't feel overwhelming. The staff are always friendly and helpful. We usually stick to their donuts (which are wonderful!), but have had their made-to-order breakfast before as well (also yummy!). Make sure to get there early (before 8-9 AM) on Saturdays and Sundays if you want to grab donuts, as they go very, very quickly. read more

Definitely a great little coffee shop with very reasonably priced breakfast food if getting more than coffee. We go frequently. Coffee blends seem to vary with barista, so if you get something great, might have to catch that barista's schedule. Sometimes i LOVE the caramel latte, somtimes, it's just "eh" and not sure what's going on there, but always at least good if not awesome. They have these awesome baked croissant sanchwiches that are HUGE, caught us really off-guard. sometimes they are a $1 if "left over", else full price, but I think still a bargain at full price. read more

I moved here from the east coast, where there was a family owned bakery everywhere you turned. I was disappointed that I couldn't find one close by until Sugar N Spice opened :) My husband and I have been going here since they opened and have to say nothing around here compares to them. The owners go out of their way to greet you by name, the croissants are delicious their coffees, lattes, and chai tea are way better than Starbucks and better priced too! I am a huge fan of supporting locally owned businesses, especially ones that go out of their way to make their customers happy!
