Hello! I would like to leave a suggestion rather than a review. I pass Sugar Twist on my way to work so it's very convenient for me to place a order pickup ahead of time and grab breakfast on the way. I always walk in and head straight to the cash register to grab my items, since my items have already been prepared and payed for. However, I have placed multiple pickup orders and I always end up waiting almost 10 minutes for my items because the girls working up front tend to the customers in line before grabbing my items. Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of order pickup? My stuff is prepared. It's payed for. I can see it sitting on the back counter. Why do I have to stand there and wait? Most people who place order pick-ups do it because we are on the go and in a hurry and don't have time to wait in line. I STRONGLY suggest having a section on your counter for pickup orders and have them sitting there for your customers. That way we can walk in, grab our items, and go. Thank you! read more

My Lo Carb diet suspended for the next 10 mins or so. I ordered a Bear Claw, but to feel good about it had them mount it on top of a leaf of lettuce with sliced tomatoes the side. Had green tea to drink. So....all considered I feel that I pretty much maintained my rigid adherence to Lo Carb. read more

This is a bakery I frequent quite often, so it's about time I write a review, I see other people have already mentioned the cream cheese puffs being amazing... but you definitely have to try them to understand!! So yummy. They offer a wide selection of donuts (specialty donuts too like maple bacon) and cakes (you can also get slices of cakes or cupcakes) but something I really enjoy are their sandwiches!!! The only downside is they turn their grill off around 2 o'clock or earlier which is understandable but I wish the lunch selections were available a little later, maybe until 4? The coffee and tea drinks are very sweet but delicious nonetheless, more of a dessert than a drink. Love this place! They also have a rewards system where you put your phone number in every time you visit and you get sent coupons and accumulate points, cool. read more

Not a huge fan of this place. The staff is great. Very helpful and attentive....however the products aren't something to jump up and down or swoon over. The cupcakes were a little dry, the turnovers weren't the best and the cookies weren't as good as they looked. I would give them a higher mark but there were flies in some of the displace case and that turned me off. read more

Unique in concept...a doughnut bar. A bit of a sugar overload, but a fun way to spend a cold morning...coffee and a specialty doughnut made exactly to my liking. Not to mention the customer service is stellar. These are people I'd like to be friends with, down to earth and full of joy. Heard so much about this place I had to try when I came to visit my kids. Oh my goodness,, sugar shock. But in a good way! Amazing service, very friendly staff and the decor is very sweet. I come here a lot and their donuts were amazing and their grill items and breakfast burritos are delish. I think they must have new donut chef. I haven't seen the young Asian girl behind the counter Ina few months and I think she was the head baker. One of the employees said she's out on maternity leave. I hope she comes back soon because the donuts are over cooked and mishapen. They aren't as good as they used to be and the cases aren't as enticing as they used to be. read more

Love Sugar Twist and the variety of menu they have for both sweet treats and savory breakfast burritos/sandwiches. Just gotta be careful if you don't have any will power to walk away. i think it really all just depends on your mood and what you choose from. I appreciate their creativity and freshness, instead of just being your straight away donut shop, although these are pretty fantastic here as well. I can't say i'm a regular bc i tend to view a place like this as a treat for myself/family. I'm too old to be scarfing these pastries down regularly. But service has always been great, and they're super friendly and helpful there always. Will definitely continue to support this local business. read more

I love sweets. I don't have a sweet tooth, I have sweet teeth. This place's desserts however are way too overwhelmingly sweet. It's literally like eating sugar with corn syrup with chocolate. Good desserts have a great balance of flavors but everything here was straight up sugar. I got the salted caramel cupcake, Napoleon, red velvet cookie, and tea. The cake in the cupcake was good. The frosting itself was also good, very light. But collectively with the salted caramel was just too much. Same with everything else. I think I'm now diabetic. read more

The donuts are impressive- breakfast burritos are decent (2.5 star but that's not their specialty so I forgive) I was proud to bring the donuts to a meeting. I hate to admit this because the people were so nice and the donuts and pastries so amazing but.......the coffee sucks. Like almost not drinkable. Sorry! Get the donuts from here and then get some some Starbucks. In fact, my boss threw his full cup away and then made me go through McDonald's drive through for coffee. They have blueberry cake doughnuts! I can't even begin to explain how excited I was when I first discovered that, it's kinda rare in my experience in SoCal. It's a normal flavor in the Midwest. Anyways, I also liked their custard filled New Yorker doughnuts too. Except for today, the dough in the New Yorker was way undercooked; I know they were super busy for National Doughnut Day, so I'm cutting them some slack. Mainly because they have the MOST MOIST sliced and individual sized white cake with buttercream frosting (they also have whipped-type) that I've had at a bakery shop. Usually individually served cake is dry, but not here. They know how to cover the sides of the cake with a sheet of plastic to keep it moist. I have a sweet tooth and I'm a cake kinda girl, so I tend to grade pastry shops places by their cakes. And that is why I'm giving this place 5 stars. read more

This place is good but not amazing. We ordered the Cali Cannoli and a Chocolate Mousse Dome. The cannoli was plain and the chocolate mousse was great but would've been better without the chocolate crunch balls. Overall great customer service and will be back to try their other treats. read more

A very convenient spot on my way into work. I can grab donuts for the staff and pick up a delicious peach tea. They are always courteous and friendly no matter what time of day I am in and the food is always fresh and beautiful. I will be trying one of their other delicious treats soon like their strawberry shortcake cup or custom cakes (beautiful on the TV slide show they run at the check-out!) I'm not even exaggerating when I fully got on yelp today, only to look and see if other people had the same experience as I did at sugar twist. My boyfriend and I love to come to sugar twist for breakfast on the weekends. I've always noticed that their customer service wasn't always the greatest... however, the food was good so i ignored it. Today was a different story as I was let down by both. Three people had to help us before we even got to the counter to pay, AND the breakfast burrito we got wasn't even wrapped and extremely messy... defeats the purpose of having the guts inside the burrito. Not only that... but my boyfriend went to the counter to buy a water after we already sat down... and no one attempted to help him for a solid 5 minutes. The biggest issue I see, is the co-owner has replied to all of these bad reviews on yelp expressing how she was unaware the staff has poor customer service... yet here we are months later with another review expressing the same experience. I've been coming here since I moved here close to two years ago since my son was a baby ! Every time I go in One of the employees recognizes us and remembers me going in when my son was tiny (she's so sweet) I get the best customer service from the nicest people. I love coming here for their bagel sandwiches, their cream cheese puffs, and my son gets a super soft sugar cookie every time we go in. Maybe an off day, but we weren't impressed. Tried ordering the specialty Halloween cupcakes they had on display, but they were just decorations that you had to preorder if you wanted the real thing. Got three sugar cookies instead for the kiddos. The selection of cupcakes left me confused, as I thought this place was known for them...guess I thought wrong. Anyway, I think there were four flavors and I went with the chocolate surprise. Crumby tasting cake. It tasted like it had been baked a few days ago and left in the fridge too long.
