The food was absolutely incredible!!! I loved that they serve tapa and family style portions. Each dish was carefully curated and every ingredient had its purpose. I was so impressed with everything I ordered. The goat cheese balls are to die for. It doesn't look as good as it tastes! Not that presentation is lacking, but you just don't know what's in those balls until you've eaten one!! The octopus.. a little expensive for one skewer of grilled octopus, but still AMAZING. I only wish there was more. The skirt steak with chimichurri- amazing. I'm sure you've had plenty of steak and chimichurri. Pretty standard right? No! Try this one!! The balsamic strawberry (less sweet) - if you're not into sweet drinks like me, tell the server and they'll come back with the most refreshing vodka drink ever!! Lastly, the maple apple French toast with cinnamon ice cream. AMAZING. I can't even begin. I'm not even a fan of warm cooked apples and I loved this dessert. Service was great, I can't complain. Food was ok. Nothing special for what you are paying for. Worst part was the rude server. It wasn't the main server that was taking care of us but the one to drop off the drinks. When he first came he was very sweet and suggested helping us push together the bench we were sitting on. When this happened it knocked the drink my friend was holding right out of her hand and half spilled out. She very sweetly said sir I'm sorry the drink just spilled out. With a lot of a attitude he replied "so what do you want a new one?" and she said "yes if I could" and very sarcastically he replied "yea" and stormed off. After this incident service was very slow. This is the place to go for happy hour! They have a large selection of appetizers, drinks, and more that are all basically half off! My friends and I ordered a couple of small dishes and shared. If you're into that type of stuff this place is a great option. We shared a couple of sushi rolls and veggies. The rolls were nice but didnt stand out much from other ones I've tried in the past, they were super cheap though because of happy hour. Personally got myself a burger which was packed with flavor! The bread was baked perfectly and the meat cooked exactly how I liked. The service was fine and our waiter was friendly. There's nothing bad to really say about this place. Like tapas, most of their signature dishes are small but rich in flavor. I've been here a couple of times and the food is consistently good. On this occasion, we had kale & apple Caesar salad; tempura rock shrimp, beef short ribs; bone-in dry aged ribeye; and crispy smashed potatoes. The star of the evening was the ribeye. It was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Unlike the other dishes, this was a 24oz cut and plenty to share for a party of 4. The Caesar salad and tempura rock shrimp were also amazing. The salad had just enough dressing and the veggie and apple were fresh. The batter on the tempura shrimp was light and flavorful. The smashed potatoes are delicious. Our least favorite dish was the short ribs. Made Korean style, there wasn't a whole lot of meats to extract off the bone. Flavor was good though. Overall, this place is a solid 4 stars. It is pricey but the atmosphere and food is great. I highly recommend. read more

Wow! We were wandering around and getting hungry and this place looked good, sooo, we headed in. The service was great, very welcoming. Waters came quick, and our waiter arrived pretty soon after. We had a tough time choosing from the many amazing looking dishes. I am a Benedict lover and mushrooms are a favorite of mine (and I've never seen this combo before?!?!) And I was not disapointed!! There is nothing about this dish I would change. Nothing! Hubby ordered the Sweet Corn. Again, absolutely perfect. He makes a damn fine corn dish and hands down, this was superior (sorry love). His screwdriver was fresh squeezed oj and devine. My bloody Mary was just a tad spicy, but so good. Sorry there aren't any before pics, we dug right in, it smelled too good to wait. While we were there we had a great view of the kitchen and expedite bar - they are excellent! The mostly all female chefs were ROCKIN! The manager was great at checking orders, as well as delivering them as needed. I didn't see a single order come back in the entire time we were we there. We received the wrong ceviche and then we did not get the order of brussel sprouts. Then they tried to deliver some octopus which we didn't order. Providing such poor service while charging such high prices is unacceptable. The very high priced small plates were all average nothing was special except the scallops. They were marvelous. For breakfast, we had the braised beef benedict and avocado toast. The portions and flavors were perfect. We also got to try the vanilla bean beignets which were light and fluffy. Had dinner at Sugarcane Friday night and all I can say is WOW! Very nice place inside the Venetian. Waiter was on point and had some of the best food I've tasted...not to mention fantastic drinks too. My wife and I got to taste a little bit of everything: Bacon Wrap Dates, Pig Ear Pad Thai, Bone Marrow, Beef Short Ribs, Shrimp Ceviche and Empanadas. We ended our dinner with a great dessert called Torrejas. Hard to say which one was my favorite because they were all so good...I'm just glad I had dinner there yesterday! We were headed to the wine bar next door before catching our flight home and were unimpressed with the menu. Sugarcane has a very diverse menu for those that want more than bar food. Our waiter was passionate about the food and libations and very knowledgeable. We went tapa style and started with the shrimp ceviche. We have enjoyed different versions all over Florida and make it ourselves but this was absolutely delicious. Definitely going to make this version at home. The Korean short ribs were sliced thin and displayed lengthwise on a colorful platter. Very tender and tangy. We finished with the Cuban pork. More of the Ybor City style except on an egg based dough that was not crusty like Cuban bread. Mojo style very juicy pork with ham and Swiss or provolone (I forgot), pickle, mustard, and fries. We were the first in when they opened at 11 and by 11:45, the restaurant was packed out. I definitely recommend this place for your lunch or dinner stop if you are staying at the Venetian or one of the hotels close by. It's a little hard to find but just follow the signs for the restaurant row near convention center. I really appreciate that this restaurant opens early. read more

It was three of us and we had (in order of delicious-ness / wow factor) 1) pig ear pad thai 2) beef short ribs 3) goat cheese croquettes 4) japanese fried chicken 5 & 6) chicken & pork meatballs & heirloom tomato & burrata salad The pig ear pad thai was out of this world. It's literally thin crispy pieces of pig ears made to look like pad thai and it is absolutely fantastic. The beef short ribs were soft and flavorful, and fell right off the bone. The goat cheese croquettes were small (only 5 small pieces) but absolutely delicious. The japanese fried chicken, chicken & pork meatballs and the heirloom tomato & burrata salad were also really good but nothing too special. I had the "Spice of Love" as my drink and it was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy. Like a blend of mango jalapeno deliciousness. The service was good and the food was even better - my biggest regret is not taking pictures of my food. read more

A favorite restaurant to visit again if I ever visit Vegas again. From here, I ordered a Bloody Mary which was delicious. I also ordered the lamb chops and ended my meal with the bone marrow meal. The lamb was ok. I was better off just getting the bone marrow which was sooooo amazing!!! I should have started my meal off with that and ordered a second helping instead of eating the lamb. Went there with a group of 16 girls for a bachelorette party, we were able to reserve on a Saturday night for that much people without any problem! The place looks stunning with a view of the kitchen from the dinning area. They were really courteous and understanding with the amount of people there. They had specialty fruity drinks, but no one was really impressed with them. We split the group in 2 tables and ordered food family style for each table. Our table took a plate each to share and I think we could have ordered a few more plates to complete the meal as I was left not fully satisfied after the meal, but still feeling full (weird, I know). The goat cheese croquettes were good (basically small fondue parmesan if you are french like me) and everything with meat in it was cooked perfectly with a lot of flavor. Most of the vegetable dishes were also pretty good, I pretty much can't recall any average plate. My friend is a very picky oyster eater and she was really impressed with their quality. We also tried the Pig Ear Pad Thai and it was really good, basically tasted like chips but better. Overall, family style food are my favorite types of restaurant and this is a good one. I've been here a couple times, once for happy hour and once for brunch. It was pretty crowded at the bar when I came for happy hour, but someone was nice enough to scoot down so we could have two seats together. We ordered the Brussel Sprouts and frosé that time which were both good. When I came for brunch on a weekday, the restaurant was pretty empty and everything came out so quickly. I had the buttermilk waffle and truffled toad in the hole, which both tasted too tangy for my taste buds. I had one of their juices (pineapple-apple-lemon) which was warm and not as refreshing as I would have liked it. Glad I got to try both, but I would have to say I prefer happy hour over brunch from my experience. read more

I tried the egg in the hole which was a very different take on the classic. Melted cheese along the edge was think and flavorful. The Texas toast was grilled perfectly and the truffle shavings added a great earthy taste to the dish. I generally ask for my bacon crispy and 95% of the time I'm disappointed but not today, they made it perfect. It was like crispy delicious bacon potato chips. The food had good flavor, since this was tapas/small plates and meant for sharing, be prepared to order a few plates of each dish, although they say the plates are best for two people to share, depending on how hungry everyone is, you can probably get away with one plate for three people. We had the grilled shrimp/toast, Korean short ribs, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, edamame, grilled corn, and salad. I think our favorite was the short ribs and Brussels sprouts. Decided to check out this place while in Vegas and let me tell you, you'll waste a TON of time here. The food is decent enough, however the service leaves a lot to be desired. We had to wait about 15mins between getting water and ordering our food, then the food took forever to get to us, we ordered a second Bloody Mary to have with brunch, but guess what.....it was served 15 mins AFTER we finished. Granted they took it off the bill, but come on the point is to have it with our food. And had to wait still another 20 mins to get our check and another 20 to get my card back. It's just ridiculous how much we spent here. They need to get much more staff to get people their food. read more

Horrible service from restaurant on the evening of 10/10/2010 as they forgot to bring our food multiple times and at one point they were so confused and rude that they refused to give us a certain plate as they lost track of who it belonged to even though we told them it's ours. The worst part is how the manager who I called 10/12/2020 gave a fake scripted apology after I called him the next day but NEVER asked for the servers name which is the one most important question the manager would ask in order to fix the issue. For the record, the server's name was Daniel M and so if you do decide to try this restaurant exit immediately if you are assigned to "Daniel M" as he will coldly dismiss all your concerns and not care at all about you as a customer. Would NEVER GO BACK due to the HORRIBLE SERVICE and FAKE LYING manager and staff. read more
