I absolutely love this place and need to specify that I like to go to the Irvine location. I was looking into getting a Brazilian and was nervous because I've heard the pain can be pretty high but since S&B had a $15.0 promotion if you get your wax with a trainee. I figured if the pain was too much at least I got to try something I wanted to do for a discount. My trainer was amazing and help ease me into the pain (because the first time was a bit painful). However the outcome was amazing and I got hooked and even ended up getting a membership. It is really easy to get an appointment via call or text which is awesome, especially for introverts. The office itself is so clean and serene like. I do want to note that it is a cashless establishment but I like to use my android pay or membership so I actually do not mind at all. I've been coming here to get sugaring done for a few years now and had a membership for a little bit a couple years ago. I've never really had a disappointing experience until today. I've always had good experiences with the staff as they were always very welcoming and and kept conversation with me during the sugaring. However, the girl who did my sugaring today wasn't as talkative or comforting during the service. Not necessarily bad service, just the worst I've had at the salon so far. Second, I've noticed that the service - in terms of hair removal - is kind of inconsistent. I usually just come in for a bikini sugar wax and the amount of hair that is removed is not consistent. My last service before today, which was in October '24, the girl who did my sugaring basically did an extended bikini which also included the hair between the butt cheeks. She went beyond what I have had taken off for a bikini service before. Today at my appointment, the girl did a basic bikini and even asked if I wanted some hair removed from the top as well, which I had never been asked before, so I just assumed that was part of the normal bikini service. Also, I had never had a bikini appointment at S+B where the sugarer didn't ask if I wanted hair removed from in between the cheeks as well. I asked the girl who helped me today if she could do in between the cheeks as well, and she said yes, it would just be an extra $10 as they consider that a Brazilian. I understand if that is their policy, it is just disappointing that I had to pay more this time for less hair removal than I had gotten in the past. So, I don't appreciate the inconsistency. Also, from what I could see, there's no real clear indication on their website of what they classify as their bikini service vs. Brazilian. Lastly, I don't like how this company has the staff who did your service ask verbally if you are okay with the automatically added 18% gratuity or if you would like to adjust it. For a shy and mostly non-confrontational person like myself, I'm not going to feel comfortable telling the staff member who helped me that I would like to give them a lower tip. I wish it was done in a different way. I had thought in the past that they sent an email after your service asking if you would like to adjust the tip, but I did not receive that email this time. In all, I was disappointed that, at my service today, I ended up paying for a Brazilian when I had the least hair removed I have ever had at a S+B service. read more

Not only is this thee most convenient hair removal process, but it's the fastest, safest, and easiest way to get a clean up done. To me, it was never painful, but I know that some people experience some pain or stinging; but the good thing is that it will only last a second or two so it doesn't linger. The staff at all 3 of the locations I've been to have been nothing but sweet, smiley, and professional; so I always look forward to my monthly visit especially because it feels like i'm about to go have brunch with my girlfriends. I love the fact that I can get a same day appointment and so far the women that have worked on me on my Brazilian have been absolutely phenomenal. Specifically the Irvine location! I used to go to the Newport location until I found out they were opening up one in Irvine and when I tell you the facility is absolutely welcoming, is an understatement. Because this is a new location, you can even tell that everyone who works there is excited to work there because everything is new equipment in a new space lol. It's definitely a judgment free zone and the women who are working with you are amazing communicators Once you sugar with them, you'll never go anywhere else. With that said, I do recommend the membership where you could go monthly and they charge you automatically but you also get a discounted rate with the membership which is amazing!
