    How your order arrives

So... on a whirlwind trip of a month around the Western part of the US, our final destination before boarding a trip from LAX was Marina Del Ray. Our son, recommended we try one of his favorite sushi places and we did... Wow. What a novel concept to get the "their choice" of what was going in the box that you'll see. After ordering, promptly the Team picked up our order and arrived at our lavish AirBandB. So, what a fantastic presentation and assortment of some of the best sushi I've ever had. The orders were fantastic and the box clearly explained what was in it, and, what condiments were appropriate and included in the package. With a fantastic sunset view, we all enjoyed our delicious and varied sushi dishes and all were very happy! When you have the opportunity, do this or dine in the restaurant for what I heard is even a more pleasant experience!! Bon Appetite...

Can't beat it! Best sushi, best value and the temperature of the warm rice to the cold sushi is to die for. The service is quick. I've never had a bad meal here and I eat it weekly! Yum!

Overall, I am a big fan of sugarfish and am always happy about my experience. This time I went for my free birthday meal for lunch at this Brentwood location. In order to get the free meal, you'll need to visit at least two times throughout the year and fill out the card that is with the bill each time. You'll get an email about a week before your birthday letting you know that you've met the requirement and can sign not enjoy the free meal on your birthday. I got the trust me which is just enough food for me. I always feel the fish is fresh and has good flavor. The service is quick and personable. The interior is like all other sugarfish clean and tidy. The only gripe I have is that the parking for this location is horrible. Both lots in the front and back were full with so many cars waiting on a Wednesday during lunchtime. The location validates for 90 mins but it doesn't matter if you cannot find any spots in the lot. It took over 20 mins for us to find a spot in the neighborhood.

As much as I greatly miss our legendary master sushi chef Nazawa and his work will always be irreplaceable, a trip to any Sugarfish brings back all the warm nostalgia. The rice always special, the fish superb. Clean. Mild yet with flavor. Brought to the table with the same determination that Chef would send his wife out with orders in his original Studio City location for years. No phones, no special orders, eat what's in front of you. And get there early to avoid the wait. While I'll always miss Chef, we are lucky to have his legacy continue on.

Got takeout through uber eats. Came on time and good presentation. Came with everything needed. I love the mix and match option for the fish.

Came on a Saturday for lunch and there was free parking in the plaza lot. Got seated quickly and got the Trust Me ($30 lunch) and the Nozawa ($39 lunch) Come for lunch to get $5 off dinner prices. Fish is delish and high quality. Crab hand roll was so good. Blue fin tuna also so buttery and good.

Came here on a Sunday around 4:45 pm and were able to get seated within a minute or two. I got the Trust Me, which was well worth the $35! My favorites were the tuna sashimi with ponzu and chives, toro hand roll, New Zealand sea bream sushi with citrus salt, hotate sushi with yuzu ponzu, and blue and dungeness crab hand roll. The edamame was surprisingly flavorful as well! For the price and ambiance, this is a great place to stop by. I felt like the sushi was hit or miss in terms of flavor, so I might just stick to the ones I really enjoyed in the future, though a la carte is not nearly as good of a deal. Parking was fairly easy right outside the establishment in the small lot, and service was quick.

Sugarfish never disappoints. Food did come a little slow but the taste is still there! Fish still seemed fresh and the vibes were good.

So it's on the heavier side, but I consumed almost all of it My son also remarked the bowl looks deceptively small, yet after enjoying the soup, we left satisfied and full. Then there's the chicken, dark meat grilled to near perfection with a smoky flavor that sneaks up on you. It works perfectly with the aforementioned broth. The noodles are also good quality. Again, at first the regular sized bowl looks small, but don't be fooled. It's a satisfying size. My son also ordered the fried chicken with tartar sauce. It's not a traditional karaage, but still quite tasty Actually, the ramen itself isn't traditional. There's isn't any shoyu flavor which was a bit surprising, but the unique flavor reset my expectations. Prices are typical for a Sawtelle Blvd. establishment. It's not the bargain I'd find in Gardena, but we had no complaints among the family. Looking forward to a return visit. Gochisousama deshita!

Not so much great for big groups, but probably separate tables would be better. Restaurant itself is also small, definitely resembles a lot of like the restaurants in Japan! Especially their decor. We all got the bbq charcaol chicken ramen, regular and large size are the same price, so might as well get a large?? It all came out pretty quickly. The chicken was really soft and you can definitely taste the charcoal grill to it. Pretty nice! The ramen noodle was a nice texture as well. Although, the broth was nice at first, it was a really oily and too rich. When you think of chicken ramen, you would think that it would be a light broth, but this was extremely heavy for some reason. The broth really overpowers everything that it does get too much to eat towards the end of the meal. I didn't finish my bowl actually haha. It was good, but it really feels to heavy to eat. The ramen is also on the pricier end, which it came out to be about $27 per person with tax.

salmon + ikura bowl…read more I came to Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle on a hot weekend afternoon, and my friend and I sat outside since there was no free seating indoors. The waiters were sweet in moving the umbrellas around so we would get more shade. The prices for their dishes are very reasonable, and I tried their Salmon & Ikura bowl. I loved the proportion of salmon and ikura and other various toppings compared to the rice, and the seasoning was perfect. My friend tried one of their staple ramen dishes, and he commented on the clarity of the broth along with a good portion size. There's a few different versions of this restaurant on this street, and I'm sure it's to serve the many people coming to this restaurant for a good meal!

It's a restaurant I've…read morealways wanted to love, especially because I'm a big fan of Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle Annex across the street, which serves a different, Jiro-inspired style of ramen. Tsujita is best known for its Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen: a creamy pork broth served with chashu and thin noodles. The broth is milky, clean, and well-balanced, with a pleasant pork flavor. That said, I found the broth a bit lighter than I prefer. It lacks the deeper pork richness and viscosity that make the very best tonkotsu broths so satisfying. The biggest letdown for me was the chashu. It wasn't quite as tender as I expected and tasted somewhat bland, making it less memorable than the broth itself. The noodles are served on the firmer side, which is true to the Hakata style. That's more of a personal preference than a criticism - I generally prefer noodles with a slightly softer, more tender bite. Next time, I'll probably ask for a softer noodle texture. The owners also operate several other ramen restaurants in West Los Angeles, including Tsujita Annex and Killer Noodle. Of the three, this location is probably my least favorite, but that's more a reflection of how much I enjoy its sister restaurants than a knock on Tsujita itself. It still serves a solid bowl of ramen and is worth trying if you're in the area.

The spicy GOAM with crispy noodles as the base was great, definitely not as much of a spicy flavor as I thought, as it seemed the main source was pickled jalapeños tucked into the layers. I personally am not a fan of a concentrated spicy jalapeño bite so I ended up not getting much spice. However the rest of the pancake was very good! The loaded Kaisen was indeed piled high with seafood, but I thought the flavor was a bit light in the pancake itself. The seafood did seem fresh and tender though! The hamburg omurice was absolutely delicious. Something about their demiglace sauce here was special, I'm usually not a fan but this time I ate every drop! The steak was also tender and juicy, a perfect combination with the dish as a whole. At a late lunch time (2PMish) it wasn't too busy, and service was pretty quick! Their ramen is definitely a surprise to me - they were surprisingly delicious (comparable to top specialty ramen places). This is the perfect spot to satisfy one's ramen and yakitori craving!!
