Really enjoyed this! Yummy food, good service, nice ambiance. Will return. Spicy is actually spicy, but not over the top!

We went on a Wednesday afternoon sometime between lunch and dinner. We were the only ones in the restaurant so I can't comment on wait times as we didn't have anyone to compete with, but the food was DELICIOUS! We did the all-you-can-eat sushi for $30 per person and it was everything we had hoped for! They give you full size sushi rolls so if you want a lot of variety, go with a group so you can order different kinds and not be stuck with 8 pieces to yourself. They also include items like miso soup, edamame, yakisoba, pad Thai and nigiri with the all-you-can-eat so you get a good variety. The Miso soup was the best we have had! Soup-er flavorful. ;) Our host and server Arita was fantastic! Very attentive and thoroughly explained everything to us. She needs a raise! I always feel bad giving a review that is lower than 4 stars, when I have only eaten there once. My dinner mate had shrimp and eel. I asked him how he would rank his meal and he said for sure 4 out of 5. My meal was the Pad Thai. The chicken was too chewy, and the noodles were sparse (seriously). The noodles had sort of a burnt taste to them. I ate about a quarter of the meal. Miso soup was good. The waitress was just a sweetheart. Checked on frequently enough, but not too much. She would always get us laughing a bit. So I wish could say 4 out 5 stars, the meal was off. Next time I'm in a Japanese restaurant, order Japanese food, not Thai. Lesson learned. I would recommend giving it a shot. read more

The manager on duty literally told us we "smell like we've been outside for weeks" and "will smell better once you go outside". We obliged, and once outside voiced our displeasure with being treated in such a manner. Her only response was to encourage us to leave, so we did. We've been customers here before and did not have an issue, so this was really a disappointing surprise. read more

Our first visit and we ordered the Pad Thai and the Coconut Shrimp. Even though time was early (5:00), the restaurant and waitstaff were busy. We were impressed by the pleasant surroundings and decorations. Our meals had generous portions and flavors were excellent. Prices were moderate and great value. By the time we finished, there were five groups waiting to be seated. So, a five-star rating was easily warranted. We'll be back! And, we'll be early. read more

I don't know when the staff/ownership changed but I can definitely notice a difference. Suki used to be my favorite place to eat and I'm likely not going to come back now. I went out with a friend and we ordered two rolls, an entree and an appetizer. I requested no avocado and add cream cheese to a roll, our server came back and clarified how I wanted the roll, and twenty minutes later came back with a roll with avocado and no cream cheese. My friend had pretty much finished her dinner by the time I got my roll. My friend had also ordered a roll and waited forty five minutes for it. We ordered fried rolls and they both came out room temperature. Not hot, not cold, just lukewarm. Our server didn't notice our empty drinks multiple times when she came by, and gave my friend a dirty glass with her wine, she fished out a chunk of something off the side. I ate lunch here today and sat at the bar. The sushi chefs were great to talk to, knew everything about their sushi., and had great suggestions. I ordered the miso soup and an Alaska roll. The miso was only lukewarm but I didn't end up sending it back. It was good. The Alaska roll was ready to go before I'd finished my miso and it was awesome. Good experience overall. I did not see an All You Can Eat option, but I wish I had. The Sashimi we ordered was delicious. Edamame was good and so was the Dim Sum. The Calamari here is very different. It's not the little rings or tentacles you usually get. It was big pieces, like Fish & Chips--without the chips. The flavor was good, but we weren't fans of the texture. Couldn't of asked for better service. Our waitress was helpful, sweet and kind! My family and I are from out of town and we were treated like family. They kindly let my mom bring beer from another establishment. I highly recommend the entrees. I am leaving a 4 start because of the sushi. The sushi had too much rice and not enough salmon. It felt like I was eating rolls of rice. I recommend they change that up because it defeats the surprise of having a salmon roll. I hate writing this review, as I love the owner....we had dinner there last night in a near empty place. The waitress forgot our apps, we had seafood miso with chalky mushy mussels in it. After getting my order wrong, THREE TIMES!, and was not nice about it...she was impatient like it was my fault and I ended up paying for the mistakes! How can you misunderstand "salmon egg"? The sushi was dense and kind of gross. My son ordered the duck, it was either rancid or freezer burned. I tasted it and spat it out. I have NEVER done that in a restaurant before. He did not eat much of it, but was up ill all evening and is still sick this morning. Now I know why it was empty. I would steer clear, as quality, sanitation and general care for their craft has left the building. Worst dining experience I have had in a very long time. read more

Just tried Suki Cafe for the first time, as I have been meaning to try their food and support local restaurants when I can. Food was quite decent, but reason for my bad review is I ordered off the lunch special menu and got it to go. When I picked up the food, it was $14 instead of $10. The explanation I was given is that the lunch special is for dine in only. My suggestion to rethink that was essentially ignored. Given the pandemic numbers in Lewis & Clark County and the rest of Montana, this approach is clinically insane in my opinion. Will not be going back. read more

Well, after our last three experiences at Suki we have not returned... and don't plan to in the future. Each of these three times we sat at the sushi bar and watched as the manager helped the chefs with their rolls. The only thing is, she was doing this with bare hands (gloveless). We saw her wash her hands before starting, but after a couple rolls she would leave the bar to tend to something else, return, and continue with the sushi without washing. My wife and I justified it in our minds saying, "Well, she's not making our rolls, so whatever. And surely she doesn't do this all the time; she must just be super busy and forgot." But upon our return to the restaurant, she was still doing this. Then, as if we can't learn a lesson we returned a third time to find her AND the other sushi chefs all bare-handed. Making rolls, switching the song on their iPhones, make some nigiri, leave the area, make some more rolls. Really? No thanks Suki. read more

We are frequent flyers at Suki's. The first time we went it was for the all you can eat Sushi lunch. They don't skimp on portions and have a nice cross-mix of raw and cooked options to suit everyone. Now, it is one of our favorite dinner destination stops. My teenagers love the Thai tea, yakisoba and tempura udon soup. I'm partial to the garlic black pepper steak (subbed rice for more veggies). If you enjoy sushi rolls, we highly recommend the Strawberry roll for a taste of shrimp tempura. read more

The sushi was absolutely wonderful! We had the clams soaked in Lemon and the garlic! We had the house saki which is Ana inf mixed!! The plum wine and cold saki it's recommended and awesome! We had the spider and the volcano then we had some nagire which the eel or unagi is great she set the be high compared to butte and Missoula I would say she is up there with places in Chicago!!
