First time visit with my Hula teacher. Not super busy. No line to wait. Got super friendly greeting and asked if it was my first time there- which it was. The seating area was clean amd bright and had lots of options for a couple or small groups. I like that the chairs were accessible and sturdy. The decor was minimalist. Although I had some idea of what they offered was I asked for the quick 411. This is authentic Korean bingsoo entirely made from scratch. The shaved ice milk is fine like powdered snow. I opted for the Taro. I was going to get my own but my teacher said we should share as it's a huge portion. The Taro was delicious and delightful. It was served with the condensed milk on the side and I poured it over the entire bowl. The red bean was so smooth and nutty and the toasted coconut added a crunch to it. It was $15 but for two and the size, fresh ingredients and sheer overall flavor it was a great value. Next visit I am going to try the Mango and then the Earl Grey. read more

Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. We placed three to go orders and waited almost 45 minutes for them to be prepared, which felt excessive for a relatively small order. I understand that items may be made fresh, but the wait was still much longer than expected. After finally receiving everything, I realized that my order did not include the rice cake it was supposed to come with. The red bean that I specifically requested on the side was also missing. After waiting that long, it was frustrating to discover that the order was still incomplete when I got home. The to-go packaging was thoughtful, secure, and probably the best part of the experience, which is why I'm giving three stars. Unfortunately, the actual food was fairly bland and did not make up for the long wait or the missing items. I've been a loyal Sul & Beans customer for YEARS, going all the way back to the K-Town location, so when this location opened, I was genuinely excited. The space is huge, beautiful, and has plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the customer service apparently didn't make the move with the decor. I ordered my usual black sesame bingsoo and was told they were out of red beans. Okay, things happen. Since THEY were out of one of the main ingredients, I asked if they could just add a little extra rice cake on top to make up for the missing red beans. The cashier politely said, "We cannot substitute." Sir... I'm not asking you to perform a kidney transplant. I'm asking for a few extra pieces of rice cake because YOU ran out of the red beans that are supposed to come with my order. He went to ask his manager and came back saying, "Manager Simon said we can't do that." So let me understand this: you're out of an ingredient I already paid for, you still serve me the incomplete item, and replacing the missing topping with a few extra rice cakes requires managerial approval--and the answer is STILL no? Are the rice cakes individually numbered and audited at closing? The request wasn't unreasonable. If you run out of an important ingredient, the bare minimum is to be a little accommodating instead of acting like three extra rice cakes are going to bankrupt the company. This long awaited addition to Granada Hills is a big hit. it is in such a prime location that the line will inevitably belong on the weekends even when the hype dies down. they have a waitlist at the door if you want dine in, but you must wait for them to assign you a seat before you order. Otherwise, if you were just ordering to go, then you were able to go straight into the line. Tried the strawberry matcha bingsu, and it was not too sweet and very shareable. I also got a Matcha drink, but because the bingsu was sweet, I do not think it was ideal to try them both at the same time. Happy that Sul & Beans opened closer to us. We waited for a table and ordered a Mango, Strawberry, Sweet corn Bingsu, and some Choux cream toast. All were delicious, but we especially enjoyed the sweet corn Bingsu. Just enough sweetness and so refreshing to eat. The Choux toast had a cream filling and comes with a dipping sauce. Soo good. This dessert place had a good amount of tables, but no tables outside. The decor was very modern and clean. We'll definitely come back and try other items. The staff were very helpful, and quick. Sul & Beans!!! I am so happy to have you in the Valley. I came on a Thursday night with my best friend and it was pretty packed. We placed our name on the list and we were kindly assisted by James who was super friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide between Chocolate and Earl Grey. We ultimately decided on Earl Grey and, even though I've had Sul & Beans before, I was so surprised by how delicious it was! It was super light in flavor and was topped with this super yummy cream cheese flavored cream? I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it was delicious and complimented the bingsoo perfectly. The portions are very big and definitely shareable. The interior is clean, and even though there were a lot of people, it still felt very comfortable. They do a good job of managing the crowds. I'm so looking forward to my next visit and am so happy that one of my favorite sweet treat spots is so close to home now! read more

The order came out quick, maybe 10 minutes or so. They bagged it with an ice pack in an insulated cooler bag ~ you know, it's always the little details that matter most to the customers. Y'all might be the only icy dessert spot in the area that has done this for a to-go order. The sweet potato latte was decent, tasted like a standard made from powder sweet potato beverage. Between the 2 bingsoos, the coffee was definitely more exciting in terms of flavor and texture. The banana milk had a tasty salted cream top, but even with the corn flakes or granola and fresh fruit, it became repetitive in such a large portion. The coffee had a strong flavor and mixing it with granola, bits of coffee grounds + red bean really made it stand out and interesting to eat the whole way through. I highly recommend Sul & Beans! A new bingsoo spot in the area! Super beautiful and modern interior. When it gets past afternoon, the bright sunlight seeps through the large open windows so hopefully there can be curtains put up in the future! I think that there's dessert options are refreshing and perfect in the summer. Lots of tables and chairs to sit at, with a good rotation for people coming in to order, sit, eat and leave. My friends and I enjoyed chilling in here. There's also a tap water station on the side with small cups. I tried a cup and was a bit disappointed it wasn't cool water, just room temp. But hey, free water to get! There's also a couple of public bathrooms to use, which is nice. When you order, they give you a beeper and it beeps when you need to pick up your order so it's handy because you can just sit down and wait. First time trying this place and it was great! We went on a Sunday night which was veryyyy busy. There was a big crowd outside this establishment and the one next door (Somi Somi) and it was hard to differentiate which line was for which establishment without asking a few people around. We waited in a line for Sul & Beans for about 10-15 mins before we heard another customer ask an employee if the line was to order and they said the line was for takeout. They said if you want to dine in you have to go inside and put your name down. We had no idea and we wanted to dine in. So we then went inside and wrote our name on the paper and waited. We probably waited another 10-15 mins before our name was called and we got a table. The inside was nice and clean. It had a decent amount of tables to seat various group sizes. You then have to go to the register to order your food, another line but not that long only about two people in front of me. I ordered the Sweet Corn Bingsoo and Cheese Injeolmi and the employee was really nice about helping me decide what to order. The longest wait was probably for the food but they were incredibly busy since it was a Sunday night. We got the bingsoo first and had to wait a little longer for the toast but it was fine because the bingsoo remained perfectly in tact for the picture, didn't really melt much. Both desserts were so good! We got two items that weren't overly sweet. The toast had sweetness on the outside and the cheese on the inside balanced it perfectly. The bingsoo was also great. We ate it without the condensed milk at first and it was really good that when we added the condensed milk it didn't really change much. The little bits of corn and corn flakes really gave it great texture balance.
