They gave me NO rice cake lol
    Cindy T.

I've been a loyal Sul & Beans customer for YEARS, going all the way back to the K-Town location, so when this location opened, I was genuinely excited. The space is huge, beautiful, and has plenty of seating. Unfortunately, the customer service apparently didn't make the move with the decor. I ordered my usual black sesame bingsoo and was told they were out of red beans. Okay, things happen. Since THEY were out of one of the main ingredients, I asked if they could just add a little extra rice cake on top to make up for the missing red beans. The cashier politely said, "We cannot substitute." Sir... I'm not asking you to perform a kidney transplant. I'm asking for a few extra pieces of rice cake because YOU ran out of the red beans that are supposed to come with my order. He went to ask his manager and came back saying, "Manager Simon said we can't do that." So let me understand this: you're out of an ingredient I already paid for, you still serve me the incomplete item, and replacing the missing topping with a few extra rice cakes requires managerial approval--and the answer is STILL no? Are the rice cakes individually numbered and audited at closing? The request wasn't unreasonable. If you run out of an important ingredient, the bare minimum is to be a little accommodating instead of acting like three extra rice cakes are going to bankrupt the company. Beautiful location, terrible customer service. Simon, free the rice cakes. Y'all need to do better.

So excited that this place opened in the valley! It's so refreshing and a light dessert after dinner or on a hot day. It's mango season, so of course I had to go with the mango bingsoo. It comes with a side of condensed milk. I think one order is perfect for two people. Can't wait to go back to try other bingsoos and their drinks

This long awaited addition to Granada Hills is a big hit. it is in such a prime location that the line will inevitably belong on the weekends even when the hype dies down. they have a waitlist at the door if you want dine in, but you must wait for them to assign you a seat before you order. Otherwise, if you were just ordering to go, then you were able to go straight into the line. Tried the strawberry matcha bingsu, and it was not too sweet and very shareable. I also got a Matcha drink, but because the bingsu was sweet, I do not think it was ideal to try them both at the same time. I also tried a strawberry citron drink during another visit and I was a big fan of that. Very refreshing on a hot day and I would definitely order it again. Overall, the space is nice and modern - and Service is great.

I came here with my friend on a Tuesday evening. There was a short wait but it went by quickly. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake bingsoo and the flavor was better than I expected! I'm not a huge cheesecake person but I really liked it. The portion size is shareable among 2 people!! Almost wanted to buy another one to share but one was just enough. It was around $16, a tad pricey but worth it despite how expensive food and dessert is tbese days. No need to go to Ktown anymore for bingsoo!

After going to the location in Ktown, I was excited when they opened the location in the Valley. It's right next to Somisomi. If you would like to dine in, there is a list in the front. They want you to sit first and then order at the counter. I was set on a mango Bingsoo and was so satisfied with my order. We also got the Oreo and the Matcha strawberry. Oreo was just OK. This location is super busy but definitely hit the spot on a hot day. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely going back. Portion size is pretty huge so hopefully you come with a big party and can share.

FOOD: Ordered a choux toast and a strawberry cheese bing soo. Not a ton of flavor after the top layer. Total came out to $26 with tax, before tip. The food is decent but not sure it's worth a $15 bing soo & $11 toast. SERVICE: Food took about 22 minutes to prepare. It was pretty busy though so understandable. AMBIANCE: The restaurant itself is minimalistic, aesthetically pleasing. Overall, it was fine. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to come back.

Happy that Sul & Beans opened closer to us. We waited for a table and ordered a Mango, Strawberry, Sweet corn Bingsu, and some Choux cream toast. All were delicious, but we especially enjoyed the sweet corn Bingsu. Just enough sweetness and so refreshing to eat. The Choux toast had a cream filling and comes with a dipping sauce. Soo good. This dessert place had a good amount of tables, but no tables outside. The decor was very modern and clean. We'll definitely come back and try other items. The staff were very helpful, and quick. Will be back and try other items. Happy Nom Nom!

Sul & Beans!!! I am so happy to have you in the Valley. I came on a Thursday night with my best friend and it was pretty packed. We placed our name on the list and we were kindly assisted by James who was super friendly and helpful when we were trying to decide between Chocolate and Earl Grey. We ultimately decided on Earl Grey and, even though I've had Sul & Beans before, I was so surprised by how delicious it was! It was super light in flavor and was topped with this super yummy cream cheese flavored cream? I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it was delicious and complimented the bingsoo perfectly. The portions are very big and definitely shareable. The interior is clean, and even though there were a lot of people, it still felt very comfortable. They do a good job of managing the crowds. I'm so looking forward to my next visit and am so happy that one of my favorite sweet treat spots is so close to home now!

COFFEE BINGSOO + BANANA MILK BINGSOO

Pretty neat that we have a Sul & Beans in the SFV as I used to love going to the one in K-town. The interior is bright and there are plenty of tables for groups. I was literally greeted by every employee at the front of house so A+ for hospitality. I ordered to the Coffee Bingso, Banana Milk Bingsoo and a Sweet Potato Latte w/ Oatmilk to go and was given a lil beeper since it was lowkey lit on a Tuesday afternoon. The order came out quick, maybe 10 minutes or so. They bagged it with an ice pack in an insulated cooler bag ~ you know, it's always the little details that matter most to the customers. Y'all might be the only icy dessert spot in the area that has done this for a to-go order. The sweet potato latte was decent, tasted like a standard made from powder sweet potato beverage. Between the 2 bingsoos, the coffee was definitely more exciting in terms of flavor and texture. The banana milk had a tasty salted cream top, but even with the corn flakes or granola and fresh fruit, it became repetitive in such a large portion. The coffee had a strong flavor and mixing it with granola, bits of coffee grounds + red bean really made it stand out and interesting to eat the whole way through. I highly recommend Sul & Beans! Choose your flavor wisely if you get bored with minimal textures.

I'm so happy Sul & Beans finally opened a location in the Valley! We ordered the mango bingsu, injeolmi toast, and the hazelnut latte with cream top, and every single item was delicious. The bingsu was refreshing, the toast was perfectly chewy and satisfying, and the latte was a great way to finish everything off. The café is spacious, clean, and has plenty of seating, making it a great place to hang out. The staff were also friendly and welcoming. This is definitely going to be one of our regular dessert spots. I already know we'll be coming back often!

Yet another bomb bingsoo spot in the valley but dare I say that this is even better given it's Ktown rep. Clean and modern interior - I liked the vibes! It was busy on a Monday at 4pm and there was even a waitlist but thankfully we didn't need it as tables cleared and were cleaned pretty quickly. - Watermelon Bingsoo $13.95: not overly sweet, tho the watermelon chunks were bland. Adding the condensed milk was perfect. Chocolate chip chunks were a nice addition for a texture change. Refreshing but would try the Matcha Strawberry next time. - Injeolmi Toast ~$10: yummm! Slightly sweet, chewy mochi center and fluffy crisp edges. Would def get again! Drinks looked meh. Parking is easy.

my friend posted a picture on her story from this place and it looked so delicious i came here the next day i couldn't handle the fomo. there was no line out the door but it was very busy inside, my friend and i snagged the last table for 2. it was quite loud in there also. after a maybe 10 minute wait we got our orders. i think the mango was definitely better than the chocolate. both of them had "layers" underneath the top portion so it wasn't just straight ice underneath. i wish there was more layering for the chocolate one however, once you ate that top part off it wasn't as flavorful. was it worth it? yes. would i come back to this store specifically over other bingsu places? no.

So happy I got to try out the new Sul & Beans here in Granada Hills!!! Got the greatest service from James from the moment we joined the queue to be sat down at a table, he was funny, kind & charming! It was my first time so I was quite intimidated but I loved my time here. You get to put your name down and are seated when a table becomes available, despite it being very crowded, my bestfriend and I were seated very quickly! We ordered the Earl Grey bingsoo and it was amazing! Not too sweet & a hint of chocolate! Perfect way to cool off on these hot summer days!

Parking is pretty difficult, and valet is $5. I can easily see the parking lot getting gridlocked on a busy day. I sampled a few of their gelato flavors, including the jasmine lychee and soy sauce. Both were okay, but I just wasn't in the mood for either of them today. I ended up getting the Pandan Toast to try. The pandan flavor was really good--not too grassy and didn't taste too artificial. The ice cream also had a buttery taste to it. It might have been from the toast, but I'm not too sure. The bread itself wasn't oily, which was nice, but it was kind of dry. The pandan sauce definitely helped make it easier to eat. I probably wouldn't eat the bread by itself though because it was super hard and didn't really have much flavor. I wasn't sure what to expect from the toast, but it wasn't quite what I expected. I originally wanted to try the mango sticky rice flavored shaved ice because it looked really good in the photos, but unfortunately they didn't have it today. I'd come back to try their shaved ice when mango is in season again!

The barista was super helpful with explaining what each drink was, didn't steer us in any direction though. The Houjicha shaved ice was the standout. Houjicha is a toasted green tea, and the flavor is a little difficult to describe--it has a warm, grainy, almost wheat-like taste that's very different from traditional green tea. At first, it can seem like an unusual flavor, but don't give up on it. Once you add the syrup they serve on the side and keep eating, it really grows on you. It somehow gets better with every bite, and before you know it, you can't stop eating it. The Iced Brown Sugar Miso Latte wasn't exactly what I was in the mood for, but it was still well made.
