    banana chocolate, strawberry, custard taiyaki
    Anna W.

We ordered the banana chocolate and strawberry flavors. I was a little doubtful about the banana chocolate combo at first, but it ended up being really good! Neither flavor overpowered the other, and they balanced each other out nicely. The strawberry is a classic and is always good, and I loved the mochi pieces they had on top. The taiyaki with custard filling was also delicious and a must-order! There's seating inside, but it fills up quickly since this is a popular spot. All the tables were filled shortly after we arrived, and it did get loud. You order at the front and they give you a beeper to let you know when your order is ready. The only downside and why I took a couple stars off was that the bathroom was pretty dirty and seating was a bit hard to find.

This was one of the dessert spots in the plaza I had been eyeing for some time. They have so many flavors of shaved snow ice so I will be coming back to try a few other flavors. We ended up getting the mango bowl. I wished the bowls were bigger. But for something sweet right after dinner, the size was actually perfect for a party of 4. They used condensed milk as the sweetener and topped it with a lot of fresh cut mangos. This place has many other flavors, and some very unique. Would recommend checking this place out! The server is nice and parking can get pretty crazy if you come during a rush.

Absolutely delicious and refreshing!! I feel like this is perfect for sharing amongst a group. It's super quick and chill!

    Strawberry Bingsoo and Mango Bingsoo

Korean shave ice never misses! I ordered the strawberry and mango bingsoo and it was huge. We shared with a group of four and it was more than enough. The ice is freshly shaved and topped with fresh fruit. Plenty of seating for a big group. Parking can be difficult during peak hours but we were lucky to find a spot.

    Fresh Strawberry Bingsoo

Sul & Beans serves exceptional bingsoo crafted with artistry and impeccable attention to detail. The café features a clean, cozy interior with a handful of tables, providing a comfortable place to escape the heat. Service was friendly and efficient, while each bowl was just as visually stunning as it was delicious. **Fresh Strawberry Bingsoo: 5/5** The Fresh Strawberry Bingsoo was everything I look for in this classic Korean dessert. A generous portion of freshly sliced strawberries blanketed the shaved milk ice, while layers of vibrant strawberry syrup were evenly distributed throughout, ensuring every bite was bursting with bright, fruity flavor. The bingsoo was incredibly light and fluffy, with a delicate texture reminiscent of freshly fallen snow that melted effortlessly on the tongue. Finished with a drizzle of condensed milk and soft, pillowy mochi, the shaved ice was complemented by a delightful combination of creamy indulgence and satisfying chewiness. From the premium ingredients to the meticulous execution, Sul & Beans sets the standard for top-tier bingsoo, leaving a lasting impression long after the final spoonful.

Their shaved ice or snow ice is decent, the presentations are great! Price is so so, Service is over the counter and not bad. Good ambiance though. Parking is hard to find.

Self-serve, once you ordered they give you the ringing machine. Once the order is made, the machine rings, you come to the counter to pick up food. After finished, you returned the tray to designated area. Mango is in season so it was very good, other options such as strawberry cheesecake or yogurt berries also tasty. They no longer gives condensed milk on the side

After dinner nearby, we came here for desserts. Even though this place has plenty of parking, with many other businesses around, finding a parking space can be difficult. This is a small place, but they have enough tables for you to enjoy your Bingsoo (Korean Shaved Ice). We ordered a couple of Bingsoos (don't remember the names), but they were so delicious and refreshing. The person helping us, she was nice and friendly. And we didn't have to wait long for our Bingsoos. It was a great way to end the evening with yummy desserts after having our dinner nearby.

Strawberry Bingsu with a side of mango
    Stanley K.

Sul & Bean is always a great spot when you're craving bingsu. I ordered the fresh strawberry bingsu with a side of mango, and it was the perfect combination. The shaved milk ice was incredibly smooth and melted in your mouth, while the strawberries were fresh and sweet. Adding the mango on the side made every bite even better with a refreshing tropical flavor. The portion was generous and perfect for sharing, but I wouldn't blame you for keeping it all to yourself. If you're looking for a light, refreshing dessert, this place is definitely worth a visit.

    Green grape bingsu
    Tiffany H.

We tried their new green grape bingsu and it was so refreshing! It wasn't too sweet either. The middle had bits of green grape and honey. Sul & beans is a safe option for dessert. Their portion sizes are huge and it's enough for 4 people to share. Service was excellent! We received our order shortly after ordering. There is plenty of seating inside the store. Parking is in a shared lot with other businesses but that parking lot is always so packed. Would recommend!

    matcha strawberry bingsu
    Erika L.

this is my go-to spot for bingsu in rowland! there's great restaurants nearby, so this is the best post-dinner sweet treat. it can get crowded and there's not an abundance of seating but usually we can snag a seat. service is relatively quick and friendly. we ordered the matcha strawberry and it was super light and refreshing! i love the ambiance and looking at all the flavors of bingsu!

Injeolmi combo with red bean+$2, missing condensed milk
    Huay C.

We love Sul&Beans but the last time we went there, I was rather disappointed by what we got.. We got the injeolmi combo, and then the mochi was so hard X.X I made my husband complain and they gave us new mochi... But then the whole time I was like. Somethings missing.. And I was like. Isn't it supposed to come with condensed milk?? Idk why we didn't go and extra ask but also.. Something as basic as that shouldn't have been forgotten and the responsibility then be put on the customer : (

As in Togo? If so then yes they do!

    Outdoor seating available?

Yes, but only probably 2 tables and a handful of chairs. It takes up the pedestrian walking area so I wouldn't really consider it outdoor seating, but yes they do have chairs for you to sit outside. lol

Do all of their bingsus use milk as a base? Like is the ice made with milk?

They have milk on a separate container and also in the bowl of shaved ice. If you dont want milk sure they can do it

They bake them fresh multiple times throughout the day, and you can definitely tell. I also love that they have several different flavors, so there's something for everyone. I really enjoyed their Matcha Frappuccino too! Just know that it's more like a matcha smoothie than a traditional matcha latte. Don't expect a super strong or intense matcha flavor--it's creamy, refreshing, and still really good! My teenage daughter really liked it too, and she normally doesn't like matcha when the flavor is too strong. And surprisingly, one of my favorite things was the pineapple soft serve! It totally satisfied my Dole Whip craving without having to make a trip to Disneyland. Between the fresh coffee buns, drinks, soft serve, bingsu, and scones, there's a lot to choose from. Definitely a fun little spot to check out in Rowland Heights!

The texture of the osmanthus sweet rice is a little gooey and overall flavor is slightly sweet with hints of floral. The mochi components were soft and chewy. The dessert can get milky and creamy since most of the ingredients are milk based. The black sesame flavors stood out and highly recommend if you like black sesame. We ordered and paid on the kiosk using apple pay. The charge was seen as pending on our credit card; however, there was some discrepancy seen on their register, which marked the order as unpaid. The worker had to call the manager for confirmation and next steps. It was unclear why this happened, but the worker was kind enough to fulfill the order. I was just here yesterday & at 4 pm they were sold out of my favorite, Triple Coconut (the entire coconut filled with coconut jelly & coconut pudding with its own coconut meat) I love scraping it off once I eat the goodies. There's nothing like eating dessert that brings back childhood memories, except it's better in this rendition. Lo & behold, they have 3 Triple Coconut even at this late hour (10:40 pm). Hubby wanted the Triple Coconut, too, & 2 more Double Coconut. I also ordered one with mango puree. I learned that the coconut pudding is made at another location and the ones they sell at this location that has fruit added, these staff cut the fruit and add to the bottle. So the recipe is unknown to the staff. Best kept secret, I suppose. Believe me, I tried to copy and I have yet to achieve success. The shop is modern & clean. The staff are super friendly. Parking is free and could get challenging at peak hours due to shared among many businesses at this Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights. Glad it's open late (11 pm), the one near us, Sam Gabriel closes at 10 pm. I'm so glad we made a dash coz we got 3 of the last Triple Coconut!
