Absolutely amazing lobster! the source was really tasty. The grilled octopus was also nice. the serving was good. quick served for drinks. the darker atmosphere was also good.

I lovee Summer Shack! Fresh seafood, the best sushi and overall always having a great time here. Their oysters are my go-to also because they're $2 everyday!! The inside is huge with lots of seating, parking is FREE and they even have a lobster tank in-house of live lobster. They always have something going on for the kids and the people that work here are wonderful.

We stopped by recently for a quick snack on our walk back to the nearby parking garage. We sat at the bar and ordered Buffalo shrimp, lobster potstickers, and lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was mediocre , especially for Boston, and I do not recommend. The buffalo shrimp and lobster potstickers were both delicious! Our bartender was quick and efficient and kept our plates cleared, and our drinks filled. The ambience is very casual and the atmosphere is very informal. PS : there is a yelp offer for a free dessert if you check in to the Yelp app.

I met up with a friend who was staying at the Sheraton down the street. He mentioned being up for seafood. Most of the places that came up in the list were a bit too high-priced for our blood, but this little place was down the street from his hotel. I had a bowl of the clam chowder and he ordered the haddock over jasmine rice and asparagus with a few glasses of wine. Both us were highly satisfied. Our respective bowl and plate were emptied, but our wallets were not!

A little disappointed in this experience. Made reservations online, asked for a booth. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were given a half booth. Not the biggest deal but okay.. Our waiter didn't come for a long time. When he finally came, he didn't greet us, just poured our water and said "any questions? ready to order?". I've never had a waiter barely speak. What's weird is the entire service was like this. I think he only said something longer when he brought the bill. What was off putting was he seemed to converse a little more with other parties? Now if the food was extraordinary Id put up with this weird service. But...again was disappointed. Clam chowder was pretty good. My crab cakes were okay, but were served lukewarm. Definitely not worth the $30 something dollars. Half the plate was empty, but filled with greens to make it look full... It's too bad because the vibes and decor in this place are great, but the service and food didn't match. It has potential, but somethings missing. Maybe we just came on an off night, but I wouldn't rush back here by any means.

First time trying out this restaurant . Came for "Dine Out Boston " it was a $55 3 course pre fixed dinner . The lobster and Johnny cakes honestly just tasted like lobster salad on top of a corn pancakes but it was absolutely amazing . So filling and so much lobster meat . The halibut was flavorful but the mustard green did have a bit too much salt for my liking . The dessert was tasty but I had absolutely no room to finish it . Our waitress was very helpful and gave us her recommendations on what to order and they did not disappoint . The restaurant is seafood themed . Has a lobster tank and pictures of anchors and mermaids galore .!

I got this recommendation from a tour guide. The lobster roll was a near religious experience It was amazing. Cocktail was good too

Pretty solid seafood. Came here the other week for clam chowder and a shrimp po' boy. The chowder was quite good as the clam broth was very tasty and there were amble chunks of clam throughout. The po' boy was also delicious, and was topped with a tangy sauce and served with a side of fresh potato chips! It's a bit overpriced but for the area it's in the prices are on the cheaper side. The service was good, but since it was pretty busy it took a while to get our drinks. I'd go back. It's not amazing but you get a solid meal for a decent downtown price. Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5

Awesome place that overcomes a difficult location for those of us living in the Fenway. Dine in Boston gave me the incentive to try this out. The package is a three course meal, so I was impressed with the amount of calamari in my appetizer. I ordered the lobster Cobb salad and there was a fair amount of lobster...given one can always have more lobster in any salad! My wife ordered the surf and turf which was tasty and plentiful. My wife is gluten intolerant, so they made a special adjustment to her dessert with a generous portion of an ice cream sundae that we shared. I had the key lime pie (I don't usually order dessert) and it was great. The filling was tart and the crust tasted very moist and fresh. The lighting was dark and the place had no outside patio (which was ironic given the name of the place). I would recommend this place to visitors to Boston or New England who want a traditional food experience: summer or winter.

Was in town for a game and decided to try the Summer Shack based off previous Yelp reviews as well as the fact that the restaurant was outside the door of the hotel. We made reservations which we didn't need for this night, but I could see how this place could fill up quickly as it is small. I agree with previous reviews that the lighting is quite dark, which can make it challenging to read the menu. But all in all, the place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the areas are kept organized. For the food, I started off with a bowl of the clam chowder and then ordered the shrimp po' boy with a side of fries. I found the soup to be bland, watered down, and filled with more potatoes and less with clams. The soup was definitely the downside to the meal. The shrimp po' boy on the other hand was very tasty. The shrimp was deep fried to a nice crunch and topped with a sauce that gave each bite a nice little zing. The bread wasn't just a random bun or roll, but was more like a toasted folded piece of bread that allowed you to taste the contents rather than get a mouth full of bread with each bite. I will be stopping back by the next time I am in town.

    Spaghetti & Clams

The restaurant is dimly lit with ample seating in a good neighborhood with things to do. Service was good and our waiter was attentive. I didn't get a picture of the cornbread, but it was amazing with the molasses butter! I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the spaghetti and clams. The white wine sauce was really good and I felt like there was a good ratio of clams to spaghetti. Afterwards, we went bowling next door. The hallway leading to next door needs a deep clean. I would come back here for seafood. The menu is reasonably priced and I believe it's a little more limited after the pandemic to keep options fresh.

Tucked in around the corner. Quiet music and relaxed laid back environment. Extensive food selection. I can see why this is a locals type hangout. The lighting and decorations are fun. Always something to catch the eye. They have a great assortment of speciality lobster dishes. Menu is not overcrowded or overwhelming. This is a place to kick back some brews and talk with friends. The music was at a decent volume. This was an easy walk from the Hilton and Sheraton next door. 2 minutes max. I had an assortment of food. Pan Roasted Lobster, Bowl of Clam Chowder, and some corn bread. Food was amazing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The clam chowder represents Boston well. So delicious with good chunks of clam in it. This place is a must try and worth stopping in for. Loved it. Enjoy!

Got a seat fast here at dinner on a Friday, had no problems choosing what we wanted to eat! The swordfish was delicious but the lobster bouillabaisse was a bit too salty! Great experience here though love the interior!

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The almond biscuits had an overpowering almond flavor, and the flavor of plant-based protein was terrible! (Oh, this should have been a plus...)

Honestly I'm pretty sure the other food here is just as good, based on what I saw on other tables. Definitely coming back next time I'm in Boston.

Many folks simply make an assumption or a guesstimate, as to the price, when they see 'MP' on a menu, and this is usually based upon their prior experiences, ordering such a menu item. So, for example, I was thinking the lobster roll might be in the $40-45 range. So imagine my utter shock, when we received the bill, to see a charge for $69?? I have never in my life had such an expensive lobster roll. Yes, it was delicious, and the housemade potato chips were also great. The slaw was also good (though it was a very tiny amount...I would have liked more). But boy, did that price shock me. I would normally never have voluntarily ordered a $69 lobster roll. It simply never would have occurred to me, that a place would ever charge that much....
