Came here for the first time and was blown away by how many snacks they sell from my childhood! My husband and I shared a Unadon, a chicken karaage and their seasonal strawberry matcha drink. The unadon sumo size is HUGE and enough for the two of us to share. The flavor was 10/10! The karaage flavor was also really good but bit on the dry side so it may just be the cut of meat we got. Strawberry Matcha Latte was amazing! They definitely use quality matcha here and bonus points for oat milk alternatives! Staff was also super nice and we got our food pretty quickly! Can't wait to come back!

For my first time visit, I tried their Egg Salad Sando to-go which was already made and located in their refrigerated shelf. Was just above $7. Has both egg and potato inside. I liked it, no complaints. Good amount of each ingredient; not too much mayo, had enough egg salad filling, and bread was soft. It came with a brown savory sauce which I never tried with an egg sandwich before, but thought it was worked well together. Service was nice from the gentleman that day. Small shop with a a few tables inside

Very cute store with yummy food. The workers are very kind. For the unagi bowl, it had a bit too much sauce for my liking which made it slightly too salty, but I enjoyed it a lot because the unagi had a nice taste. I would like to come back to try other signature drinks because they were a good balance of sweetness and flavor.

I tried the Gyu Don bowl at Sumo Go, and it was a surprisingly satisfying spot for a quick Japanese comfort meal. The portion size was huge, the bowl was packed with thinly sliced beef over rice, topped with pickled ginger, green onions, and sesame seeds. The beef was tender and flavorful with a sweet-savory sauce that soaked nicely into the rice without being overwhelming. The pickled ginger added a fresh contrast that helped balance the richness. Their drinks are really great as well! Will definitely be back to try more when I'm in the area!

Delicious little spot with friendly staff and very yummy food! The drinks were tasty and the bowls were filling and I think appropriately priced for the size and quality (though it'll still run you $18-20ish minimum at the time of this writing). The shop also has a variety of Asian snacks for purchase.

Absolutely delicious. We orderd the teriyaki chicken karage bowl, egg salad sando and the coco matcha. The egg sando was one of the best Ive had. The bread was perfect, and the egg was well seasoned. The karaage bowl was crispy and hit all the right notes. The matcha was pretty good, but the food was my favorite. I will be back.

Very cute store with a multitude of options. They have grab and go food, snacks, drinks, and entrees. I got the gyoza and they were deliciously fried and crunchy. There is a cute little seating area with a handful of tables & the staff is super friendly. They had a variety of condiments at the counter, I just opted for soy sauce. I definitely will be coming back.

Cute spot just opened on Miramar! Decided to stop since I had some time to kill before my doctor's appointment. They open at 9 so it was perfect. I got a double matcha and gyoza. The matcha was super tasty and you can tell they use good quality matcha. The gyoza was super nice and crispy and the sauce wasn't too salty. And bonus they have a grocery area where you can buy snacks, bottled drinks, ice cream and pastries!

I work at the farmers markets and I love eating at Sumo Size when I see them. When the person working the markets told me about the soft opening of their new store, Sumo Go, I had to attend. The day of the soft opening, I was ordering food for my wife and me so we could have lunch together on her break. My wife wanted to know if they had any Teriyaki Shrimp. I've never seen that on the menu before, but I called to ask anyway. The person who answered the phone was so polite and said they didn't have a Teriyaki Shrimp, but could put teriyaki sauce on the Shrimp Tempura dish. I told them I was satisfied with that option and continued my way over to the soft opening. After parking, I walked toward the store and was thrilled to have been greeted by the person from the farmers markets who gave me a quick tour! It was a beautiful space for a grab-and-go store. Enough space to seat a few customers, and enough clear space from the entrance to the counter for those quick grab-and-go orders. The space also had a lovely array of Japanese snacks and an open refrigerator display case with their "cold food". Their "hot food" was all on a menu placed above the counter next to their drinks menu. When I got to my wife on her lunch break, we opened our to-go containers to see a near-flawless display of our food. The custom Teriyaki Shrimp were placed ever so carefully in the center of the rice and delicately drizzled in the teriyaki sauce. My unagi rice bowl was also lovingly centered with shredded nori, and sesame seeds on top. It melted with every bite, taking me along with it. From the phone call with a custom order to receiving the food, my overall experience was phenomenal. The store is also conveniently located downstairs from a large dispensary. I'm very excited to frequently come back to this place. We live in greater San Diego and it's a little bit of a drive, but it's worth it for great customer service, an eye-catching and colorful space, and food that has love and craftsmanship cooked into it. I'd rate this place 10 Stars if I could! See you again soon, Sumo Go!

Y'all gotta come thru and get some of their sandos and donburi's. Good deal for being under $20, and their sumo sized options can cover lunch and dinner. I had to take a bite of the food before reviewing it ofc. (Sando $7, katsudon bowl is $16)

Greenery everywhere, soft natural light, and such a peaceful energy. I ordered an espresso with a side glass of ice, and even *that* was an experience. The presentation was next-level: served on a beautiful wooden tray, and the tiny spoon had the cutest little leaf detail sprouting from it. It sounds small, but those thoughtful touches made it feel intentional and special: like they genuinely care about the ritual of coffee, not just the drink itself. I have some dietary needs, so I brought my own homemade creamer, and they didn't bat an eye. No awkwardness, no attitude: just kindness and flexibility, which I truly appreciated. The barista went above and beyond and actually brought our order out to our table, which felt so personal and hospitable. It's rare to see these days, and made the experience oh so special. My friend shared her muffin with me (true friendship behavior), and oh the raspberry goodness in baked form. Soft, not overly sweet, and scrupulous. The kind of muffin you think about later. Dot Cafe's perfect for that slow catch-up with a friend, a solo moment of calm, or a cozy little treat-yourself stop. Highly recommend if you love good coffee, beautiful presentation, and plant-filled spaces that feed your soul

Service was slow- My whole group received their food items and were pretty much finished before I received my muffin, that I had to go ask for. Aside from that it's a great location with indoor outdoor seating and clean, plenty of room with kid friendly areas.
