Decent sushi restaurant with revolving bar. CHOO CHOO TRAIN! - Handrolls : I asked for a spicy salmon and spicy hamachi handroll but they gave me a spicy salmon and spicy tuna instead. I didn't really care to correct the order. The fish in the handrolls were alright. Not bad but not the most freshest. Still decent handrolls that were filling. The fish to rice ratio is good! - Tamago nigiri : I took this off the revolving bar and it was yum. The egg is sweet and soft. - salmon nigiri : That one was decent as well. Wasn't the most freshest but good and not bad. - Edamame : Standard and didn't have seasoning on them. They also give you these fried sweet chip like things? Not sure what they exactly are but they taste sweet and are a nice added crunchy texture. The service is really nice they make sure to check in with you a lot! It's also really cute inside I love the interior and ambiance! I do recommend sitting on the revolving bar for a more fun experience! I would come back again if I'm in the area.

Great spot! Food, environment, and our waiter was fantastic! I brought the family here and we ordered a bunch of various rolls, including the spicy salmon roll, the rainbow roll, and the kiddos ordered the bento boxes. They were all amazing! Highly recommend!

I got a bento and beef fried rice to go. - The tempura was a joke - the batter is just wrong, too thick, closer to what Korean/Chinese food uses. - The salad tasted stale with dried out vegetables that have definitely been put out for too long. - The beef fried rice had no taste but salt and the beef was way too tendon-y and chewy. - Even California roll tasted mushy. I think they used poor quality imitation crab and the roll could've used an extra stick of cucumber inside Sorry Sumo. I wasn't originally planning to post a bad review but later that day my Duolingo nudged me to

I went to this restaurant back in late-January with my 8 year old son, his friend, and my wife (my review is late). I was impressed with this restaurant. The ambiance is average but the food and service were AWESOME. FOOD * Seaweed salad: The presentation of the salad was outstanding and it was very tasty and lightly seasoned. * Shishito peppers: A must have here...sorry they went fast before I could take a pic! * Gyoza: The Gyozas were an instant hit! We had to order two orders because the boys devoured the apps and we had to get more for the table. * Kids chicken teriyaki: The presentation was outstanding (see pic) and it came with salad. My son and his friend loved this * 1 item bento (Salmon): My wife got the 1 item bento and she said the fish was very tasty. * Tuna Sashimi: Presentation was outstanding; I had to get Nigiri from the sushi boat too! * Spicy Tuna Roll: This was good and left me wanting more. All in all we will be going back to this place again.

Delicious sushi with good vegan/vegetarian options, and a fun recolving sushi train running inside! My team of 7 came here for a lunch on a Friday at 12, were seated pretty much immediately and had a great time. Prices are pretty reasonable and everyone loved the sushi. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the waiter wasn't particularly knowledgeable about it the rolls- I'm vegan so I don't eat honey, and someone asked if if would be possible to get the honey walnut avocado rolls without any honey, and the waiter said yes, which was just not true. The roll is made with honey coated walnuts, and it was pretty obvious when it came out that the walnuts had honey on them. However there are a number of rolls that I'm pretty sure are legitimately vegan, and I especially enjoyed the jessie special.

Came here for a quick lunch. Not bad, place is nice, has a train in the middle for eating sushi at the bar. My group mostly had bento boxes. I had some rolls. Might come back if I am in the area.

We had a good experience at this one. Although they do carry out an elaborate vegetarian menu but I was feeling an extra brave to try out the sushi as it should be. So, I ordered the rainbow sushi that had a good mix of fish in one plate. And, I must say they did a great job there. The sushi was perfect with great flavors and felt really fresh. The tropical mango roll was vegetarian and it was flavorful. We also had the mochi dessert - both ice cream and red bean paste. While, they both were good, I liked the one with ice cream better as it was not very chewy. The servers were okay, make sure you check the order once it's placed as they kinda have language barrier. The ambiance was also okayish (maybe because we went there pretty late on a weekday).

    Mochi ice cream

We ordered the chirashi maki and cherry blossom roll which were both super tasty. They also give you complimentary wonton chips which are sweet and tasty. They have this really cool sushi train that goes around and it's really fun to get sushi from it. Service is really fast. The ambiance is really peaceful and nice. At the end, they even gave us free mochi ice cream which was soo good and a great way to end off the meal. We will definitely be coming back.

It's on the smaller side for a restaurant (maybe seats 30?), making it a super cute spot for date night. We opted for the 17 course omakase and it did not disappoint. The timing of each course was perfect. Even though the chef was also making nigiri for a table of 4, my husband and I never had to wait very long between each piece. One of our most memorable bites was the A5 wagyu. It's grilled on a Japanese charcoal which added a nice smokey flavor to the juicy pieces of wagyu. The kisu tempura was also very delicious and as always, the nigiri's were *chefs kiss*. Each piece of nigiri was perfectly seasoned and incredibly well balanced. If you haven't tried Hiroshi yet, you're definitely missing out. Highly recommend trying Hiroshi at least once if you like omakase. My husband and I are already looking forward to our next visit.

I've come with friends as well as with my mom, and the food is always fresh and consistently good. One of my favorite things about coming here with my mom is that she speaks Japanese and sometimes likes to ask the waitstaff if they speak Japanese. Surprisingly, we've had at least two servers who do! She'll happily chat with them in Japanese and tell them about how she lived in Japan when she was young. It's always fun to watch her make that connection. Sumika is very popular, so I usually recommend making a reservation, even for lunch. On weekends, there can be quite a line. My favorite item from them isn't even one of the skewers, but the oyako don which is my favorite Item here. It's so good. We wanted to try something different for lunch during Labor Day staycation, although in hindsight we should have stuck with Pacific Catch next door. The ambiance and service are good, but the price is on the high side with some quality issues: 1. The Ramen has the smallest pieces of pork belly ever - like two silver dollars. Our 6yo took two a few bites and devoured it, leaving none for the wife. 2. Eel avocado roll was OK, though the extra amount of sauce is probably redundant. 3. My nigiri had really fresh, melt-in-mouth fish toppings, though pricey for the quantity. The sushi rice was firmer than I liked. 4. Chicken Donburi had some thick chicken pieces that were soft but a little weak on the sauce. 5. Japanese fried chicken was Ok - crispy and moist, and maybe needed a little more seasoning. They had this Cilantro dip whereas we are more accustomed to a spicier mayo.
