Poor installation paid a heavy amount don't seem like a good fabrication shop in general

I was at a Chevy dealership for some muffler repair and as we all know car dealerships are a joke when it comes to repairs. So, I found Rubin at Sun Muffler and he was so nice he put my car on the rack immediately and figured out the problem quickly and fixed it and I was out of there within an hour and a half and he saved me alot of money that the dealer was trying to charge me. This place is absolute TRASH! JAVIER SANTA MARIA FORGOT TO WELD THE Y PIPE . I drove from LAS VEGAS to go to these people due to great reference ... what a mistake. I'm now having to pay an additional 200$ to fix their work on top of the 600$ I paid for it to begin with. When I called to remedy the issue whether that be getting credit or some refund (I had paid cash) he told me they should only charge 35$ to fix it and instead to drive it back with the receipt but it's not under warranty since it's been over 3 months. Do not go here . They'd rather you drive with pipes hitting the floor and your safety at risk than to remedy their own mistakes responsibly. Finding an open shop on a Sunday is hard enough. But finding someone to do a last minute job on the spot is even harder. We called ahead and Ruban said bring her in and I'll give you a quote. So we are a huge car family. The Mister wanted to replace his stock exhaust with another one we had on one of his older cars. Ruban who did our install was super nice. He swapped out our old one and installed the one we brought in. The price was right and we were in and out in an hour. To top it off we accidentally broke off our key in the trunk lock Doh....hey it's a old car. Ruban extracted the piece of key for us and saved us a trip to the Locksmith. This is probably the worst muffler shop I've been to. I pulled in one afternoon to get a quote on replacing my muffler since it had a hole from all the scraping caused by my car being low. They gave me a quote of $120 KNOWILY knowing it's 2 in's and 2 out's. I returned with the muffler and again asked for a quote to be sure. He told me to move my car into the garage and that his "boss" would come out and give me a price. I told him okay but before they even LIFTED my car I wanted to get the quote again. Instead, he lifted my car even though I told him TWICE not to until I got a quote again. I was already mad it was lifted but once he started taking the tools out and looked like he was going to begin cutting I saw what they were trying to do. I immediately told him I still hadn't gotten a quote and to not touch my car. From there his boss came out and finally offered me $200. I told him I came another day and you guys offered me $120. He instead started hitting me with "Since it's 2 in's and 2 out it"'ll require more welding" I understood what he meant but I was already given the quote of $120 and he knew it was 2 in's and 2 out's. I tried negotiating with him but he kept repeating himself. I told him just to drop my car & that I would take it somewhere else. Boom wasted already 30 minutes for nothing when he could've just asked me what type of exhaust I was replacing and given me a quote from there before lifting my car. The owner/"boss" looked mad as if I wasted his time. So unprofessional. I can tell they try getting your car lifted and start working on it before the quote because they know you'll hate the price, so they get you stuck by starting so you have no choice. BE AWARE! Don't let these thieves do you dirty like that. I proceeded to drive down the street to Anchor Mufflers and they offered me $100 and did the job right then and there within 45 minutes. If you want to save yourself a headache, I suggest just going southbound, Anaheim Blvd til you see Anchor Mufflers. read more

STAY AWAY!! They took advantage of my grandmother and charger her $700 for a job that shouldn't have been more than $200. I confronted the owner(who is the head mechanic) and asked him about the repairs. He said the catalytic converters were "empty" and needed to be changed out. But when I asked him to show me the old parts, he showed me a part that was not even for our truck. I called him out on it and he told me to leave the shop. The workers here have no moral obligation to serve the community. Very greedy people work here. They're taking advantage of customers who lack knowledge of automotives. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've brought all 3 of my cars here to get all their exhaust work done and recently I took my g37 to get some parts installed and keep in mind I haven't driven it much because of work but when I did noticed/heard something dragging/rattling and I get off to check and it's a Gasket connected to my Y pipe and single exit which sun muffler installed. I park the car since it was to late to bring back to sun muffler. I turn it on this morning to bring it back and half way here I hear bolts and my y pipe dragging completely I turn back ASAP. At this point I'm already upset but anyways I have no other option but to zip tie my dragging Y pipe. I drive 20 min back to sun muffler with my exhaust all scraped up and I get told "you have to wait 1 hour and half and then I will tell you if you have to pay or not". Does that make sense to you ? As a business owner I would never treat my loyal clients this ways. Anyways I don't recommend this place at all. There's plenty of better shops with better prices all along Anaheim blvd. read more

This shop is very clean and the owner ended up being a good guy . Took my truck in to have a magnaflow put on i already had . They put my truck on the rack and he quoted me $60 to install it . I had another shop near me Muffler Man in placentia quote me $120 , so i took it to Sun .They had to ad small extensions and i even told the guys to use my existing turn down on my old muffler . They made a new one put a hanger and did a great job welding the magnaflow on this truck . No issues and this place so far as my new muffler shop. Another thing i wanted to ad he got me in and out of his shop in less then 45 minutes . I have a few other cars to bring but most importantly , i will be referring him to my family and car buddies ... Five stars for customer service ,pricing and appearance of this shop. read more
