I really enjoyed riding with this company. My friend and I took the private scenic tour. We hopped in their trucks and their rigg took us out to Valley of Fire State Park. We rode our dune buggy about 20 miles out, ate some lunch then rode back. We spent the day out there, it was great! Our tour guides made sure we were safe and also ensured we had a great time! My friend and I switched half way thru so we both could drive, and they made sure they adjusted the seat and seatbelts for our safety. Prior to getting suited up, they made us watch informational videos for our safety as well as inform us of the endangered tortoises our there. Unfortunately we didn't get to see any. This company builds and maintain their own dune buggies. At first I was afraid of tipping over, but unless you're being reckless and riding off the walls, I'm pretty sure its hard to tip these things over. I had so much fun driving in the sand dunes, seeing the beautiful dessert, getting dirty and stopping at the sights to get beautiful photos. BEWARE! This company is 1 tour away from hurting someone and getting in serious trouble. This was the worst tour experience ever in my history of travel. Our 8am pickup turned into a 10:30am pickup. They picked us up in a bus with the AC barely working in 100+ degree temps. We were dropped off at their facility where we waited another 2-3 hours. We were then picked up in another van with absolutely NO AC. It felt like an air fryer in the van with the windows down traveling through the desert. We rented ATVs for our group but they only had 6 ATVs working. The rest of the group had to double up in buggies even though we paid for single ATVs. Our tour didn't actually start until 1:55pm in 115 degree temps. My buggy got stuck 5 mins later. Someone else in my group got stuck 2 mins before mine did. We had to sit and roast in the sun while waiting to be rescued. At that point, I thought I was going to pass out from heat stroke. After being towed out, the tour went on for maybe another 15-20 mins. Honestly, I was ready for it to end because I felt like I was going to pass out at any minute. The steering in the buggy had to be broken, it was very dangerous driving. The steering completely went out on someone else in our group. Again very dangerous! My goggles literally melted apart while out there. Thank God I had on sunglasses as well. There was no gloves offered so I burned my hands on the hot metal. After the tour was over, I couldn't get out of the buggy and helmet fast enough. My head was so overheated! I ran to the bus to cool off, only to find out, the bus going back was the same bus with the AC barely working. Our best bet was to stick our heads in the ice cooler. We were given lots of cold water baths throughout the tour. And cold water bottles were provided. The guys running the tour were nice and so were the bus drivers. They admitted the company is ran poorly and has a horrible & cheap (their words, not mine) owner. They told us just make sure we write a review. Let me sum this up: -LATE picking up and running hours behind. Booked 8am but didn't start tour til almost 2pm. -TOO HOT to operate. It should be illegal to operate in 115+ temps. Esp when your equipment is faulty and your vehicles have NO AC. -NO AC. None of the transportation vehicles have working AC. -Faulty equipment. Let me just say, ride at your OWN RISK. Steering went out and the tires are worn down so half of us got stuck in the middle of the desert. Again, the tour guides did the best they could. I felt sorry for them. This tour company needs to be shut down before they kill someone out there. I will be reporting to the BBB and the city of Las Vegas. The whole operation needs serious investigation. There's much better tours available, don't choose this one. TRUST ME! read more

This was hands down our favorite activity we did while visiting Vegas! We found an amazing deal on Groupon and after doing some research, we booked. Booking our large party was easy when I called and they answered any questions that I had. We were sent waivers ahead of time to save time on the day of our activity. Emmett was our driver from the hotel to and from and he was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Very professional and you could tell he loved his job and his customers. When we arrived, the process of checking in and watching instructional videos was quick and painless. We then took another ride out to the desert where we met our guide Jason. We were split into two groups because of out party size which was a bummer, but were able to meet in between to take pics. Jason was awesome about taking pics for us and helping out whenever it was needed. They provide you with cold water and refreshments throughout. Those 75 minutes went by super quick and we had blast! I will definitely be coming back out and checking out the other activities they offer, especially the night ride! read more

Worst experience we have ever had anywhere. This business is reckless - way more than negligent because they are taking risks that no reasonable person would ever take with tourists in a desert. It is the poorest run company I've ever seen. List of why we say this: 1. Guide didn't have a working phone. He knew that and still started the tour in the buggies! He was our only guide. 2. They were over an hour late getting us to the facility. We were to be back at our hotel by 2, which was discussed multiple times and we were assured we would be. This was important due to our other plans that we also paid for. Not only did we have to Uber back to our hotel and didn't get to finish any tour because they couldn't get gear operational. More groups were starting the tour but with the same pressed staff without proper equipment. 3. One of the other participants was stranded 4 min into our trip because the steering was out. It cost all of us a long 45 min wait stopped in the desert. We were overheating rapidly. 4. Other gear was broken in addition: seatbelt on passenger in two car buggy that wasn't even noticed by the crew and I had to ask for another buggy, flat tire on guide rig that he knew when he started the tour. Helmets were black so it was an oven! Seats were so hot they were burning us through our clothes. Seatbelts were hot metal that burned if you touched it. And they just left us there. 5. Sat us over an hour in a hot bus in the desert before we got to get on the buggies. They knew the air conditioner was broken, but it was the only shade out there because they had no backup plan like a little tent shade with chairs or other emergency type of situation. 6. Further lack of emergency planning: We were stranded in the desert - our guide left us without even telling us his name and with no water because he took the water bag - and there was no emergency sun shade available, no satellite phone, etc. My phone overheated after I tried to call the office for him - they had encouraged us not to take our phones but thank goodness I didn't listen. I called the bus driver and he hung up on me. Our guide left us without explanation of where he was going and when he would be back. He didn't tell us to take our helmets off but when I finally got the office lady to respond, she said we needed to take them off for safety reasons. 7. It was 112 degrees. We had booked a morning tour but because they were so off schedule, we were assigned a buggy at the hottest point of the day. 8. We rode in total 7 min. Due to extreme overheating we had to ask to go back because it was clear nobody there had any ability to keep us safe and we were worried about going further with broken equipment and lack of supplies. We were supposed to ride an hour. I would never, ever recommend this business and believe the State of Nevada should shut them down for risk to life. read more

First and foremost I want to give a shout out to shout out Marquis and Tre they were amazing! I would also like to speak on Shannon and how I didn't appreciate spending 3 hours waiting to complete our ATV tour on Friday April 28th. It ruined the entire rest of our day. We were a group of 6 and we saw so many other groups our size go out and we just sat for 3 hours. When we did come back I explained to Shannon the disparity between our group and the others I saw. She kept upping the time expected to ride as if I was being unreasonable and attempted to pacify me with ice pops. I do no recommend this company based off how their customer service was apparently poor when I brought up my concerns with the timeliness of their service. read more

Tour was fun. A cart broke down on tour and sat and waited for 20 mins waiting for them. SunBuggy added time to the end to make up for the delay. Buggies were loud, would recommend the company offer ear plugs to riders as most buggies don't have mufflers. Easily 115 db If you have a bad back,I wouldn't Recommend. I'm a healthy 30s male and my back hurts after. No suspension. The family were with on the tour from Philadelphia were the most frustrating/ annoying people They complained about everything which made our experience not enjoyable. Had a BLAST going out on an hour long tour with Jimmy today! He was friendly, talkative and fun. Our wait to go to the actual spot where you ride wasn't long at all, and we got on our ATVs almost immediately once we got out there. They brought tons of cold water for the ride, and it was beautiful to see the view from the halfway point! I'll definitely be back and recommend y'all to my friends. My only complaint from the whole experience was the fact that their shuttles didn't have air. After riding out in the heat, it sucked climbing back into a hot bus with a bunch of other people. FUN EXPERIENCE!!! Overall the whole experience was great--driver picked up my friends and I at the Park MGM Saturday morning--then we went to pick up several others before heading to the facility--no issues. Once you get to the facility, they help get you a fitted helmet, gloves, and googles. Then you have to watch a short safety video, before you can head out to the desert. Once at the desert, each group meets your tour guide. We had GOMEZ--he's awesome!! I was pretty anxious about this whole experience, given some traumatic past experiences, but I drove at my own speed, so I felt bad my group has to wait for me at times. The dessert is full of hill, bumps, and rocks! The ATV itself is not hard to drive (tip: pay attention to your guide when they are explaining how to use it!). Gomez did a good job explaining and making us feel comfortable riding. The tour guides lead you throughout the desert, and everyone has to drive in a line, one behind the other. But don't worry, you'll eventually stop somewhere and can take pictures! read more

Deleting my review to help your star algorithm?! SMH. 4/8/21 (Yesterday) -- This experience was SO MISLEADING we didn't even make it out to our 9AM scheduled tour. When booking we were told after picking our time (9am - 30 min Chase) we'd be picked up from our hotel 10-20 min before hand. We didn't get picked up until 9:10AM from our hotel. Then on the bus we're asked to fill out information and are told it will be another 25 min to the location. Mind you, it's 9:10am for our 9am 30 min ride...so now we're expecting to arrive at 9:35. Then once the wheels are in motion the driver (Thank Goodness for him) tells us that our day will be a MINIMUM 4 HOUR DAY! This is Vegas...we clearly have reservations & other things planned for THE AFTERNOON that we would have never imagined would INTERFERE W A 9 AM 30 MIN RESERVATION. Now, here's where things get interesting. We get to the location where we speak to the girl at the front desk, asking why it's 4 hours...she said we signed for it to say that we'd be gone for 4 hours. I was not having it...I read the fine print. My bf and I asked where? She proceeded to tell us we checked a box so I pull up the form and ask where? It just says to allow adequate time (SEE PIC ATTACHED). She then tells us no it's there and then when SHE CAN'T FIND THE FINE PRINT OF IT SAYING TO BLOCK OFF 4 HOURS OF YOUR DAY... she goes to speak to her "Manager" and says we can reschedule or get a refund for it BUT THAT HER MANAGER REFUSES TO PROVIDE US THE SHUTTLE BACK...we are responsible to find our own way home after they mislead us. We decided to get the refund and then she just walks away. We then noticed she started helping other people and we were like helllo! Do we get a receipt for the refund or anything? She goes "ohhh let me ask." We FINALLY get a receipt for the refund and it says that we were "too busy to ride." No, you were just LIARS & did not tell us we needed to leave a 4 hour window open. & to top things off...we walk outside to wait for our Uber & the 8am scheduled riders were just getting their helmets at 10:25am... Terrible. Terrible. Terrible MISLEADING SERVICE & I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone ever. read more

Had an absolute blast with Sun Buggy. I wanted a fun, raw, and energetic experience with the family, and I got all of that, and more. So good, that I'm definitely going back for more with my son, and a few other friends. The pickup shuttle picked us up from the hotel on time, brought us out to the facility, where after a short few minutes watching a video about the safety of wildlife, then picking up our helmets and goggles, we were on our way. There were 2 adults and 3 kids in our party, so I opted for the 2-seater with my son, while the others grabbed a 4-seater buggy. We chose the mini-Baja experience, which was pure rustic fun! We learned about a few safety tips about driving, how not to grip the steering wheel, and general pointers on ensuring a good time. Our guide, Marquise, was excellent. He made us feel super safe, and was instrumental in helping free up one of the other cars that got stuck on a sand dune. He was super fun, and I'll definitely ask for him on my next try. I learned a lot about the different terrains we experienced, which he explained would have different effects on driving. HIGHLY recommend you listen to him! I've never driven or rode in a ATV and this was my very first time. I was anxious and nervous however after the test course I was confident. If you follow the trail and listen to your guide you will throughly enjoy this experience. To be able to drive through the dunes and see the sunset and mountains is breathtaking.
