Sundance runs an extremely shady business. I called and talked the the sales person Dan in St Johns and inquired about 2 different 2012 ford escapes on the lot. He told me for only $30/car (totally refundable) he could put them on hold until I could make it out there and since I work long hours and couldn't get out there for a few days I thought that was great! In the meantime I have a friend that works at a dealership so he ran the vin numbers and found several things about the cars that concerned him. The biggest thing being that the cars were made in and for Canada and Sundance brought them to the US to sell. I called Dan back immediately and told him to take them off hold and he said the card would be refunded immediately. 10 days later I had to call and speak to a manager because Dan had not refunded. I also found out that Dan was supposed to request the refund from the accounting department and they would need to reach out to me, which he did not do either. After my bad experience I read several other reviews that just confirmed how shady they run their business. I would never recommend!!! But your cars elsewhere!!! read more

My son just purchased a used car from Sundance in St. Johns. He paid $4000 cash for the car and was told it was a solid car. Within 2 weeks of buying the car, he started having issues with the car. After several calls he finally could get someone from the dealership on the phone and took the car in to be looked at. The dealership charged him $135 to "diagnose" then told him it was a ground issue. Within the day of getting it back, same issue persisted. After Sundance would not return an phone calls, my son took the car to a reputable auto repair facility who told him that it looked like someone had put an additive in the transmission to make it seem fine just long enough to sell it. Now that my son is calling them back to ask them to do the right thing, no replies, no returned phone calls, not even the guts enough to tell him that they are basically going to screw him. You would think in this day and age that a shady operation like this would not exist. Looks like we still have plenty of greasy, slimy used car guys out there trying to take advantage of the general public. Not cool. DO NOT BUY FROM SUNDANCE CHEVROLET unless you want to be taken advantage of and lied to. read more

My parents bought a truck here last month. The sales guy said he would call their bank. He did not. Sold them an overpriced warranty. The truck had been in a flood and this was not disclosed. Told them they needed gap insurance. They did not. My mom ended up refinancing through her own bank and getting at least 1.5% lower interest rate. Called a *reputable* Ford dealer and got a better warranty for a lower price. Walked through the paperwork with her loan officer and discovered they really didn't need gap insurance. The best part was when we were driving it home on the FIRST NIGHT they had it and it died along side the road. It had electrical issues that the dealer did fix the next day. Oh and it was a fleet vehicle and that was not disclosed either. read more

To begin, if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I really should have listened to my dad since he has walked out of 3 different deals with them. The salesmen at both the Sundance in St. Johns and Grand Ledge are not very good at their jobs nor have any couth. I have been searching for a car for a while now, at this dealership and the one in GL, and today I dealt with a salesman named Mike. The car I was supposed to look at wasn't even on the lot, never arrived like he said it would so I never got to view it. I was offered many other cars that were subpar, even for a college student on a budget price range. At the end of the night, and a long one of being patronized, I had decided I didn't want drive the car he brought to me because it would not start. We thanked him and went to leave when Mr. Mike, a grown man, threw a temper tantrum, and proceeded to call me, also a grown adult, a child. Well, congrats, Mike, this child knows how to use the internet. Sundance will never, ever again get my business or time. read more
