The restaurant has plenty of parking. We were greeted upon entry and offered a seat immediately. Everything was clean. It gives a brunch, breakfast type of vibe. The staff was nice, all smiles. The menu had a nice variety of food. They also offer adult beverages, as well as a bar. Our waitress was cool, very pleasant. She gave great recommendations. Now, the delicious part, we ordered a variety. My family ordered a burnt turkey ends bowl which contained cheesy polenta, bbq burnt ends, sliced pickles, and I added mushrooms; funky monkey banana deep fried French toast, berry me deep fried French toast, fish & cheesy polenta, bacon, and hash browns. I decided to dine at Sunday's AM Eatery after my physical therapy session. It is located in Wakefield Commons Shopping Center in Raleigh. It is in the same shopping center as Galaxy Fun Park, Wakefield Marquee and Milton's. The shopping center has plenty of free parking. Sunday's AM Eatery serves breakfast and brunch items until 3pm each day, and the menu might be getting some new additions soon. They do not take reservations. Best of all, it is locally owned. The 97.5 health score is A-OK too. The seating inside is a mix of tables, booths, and bar seats. I did not order one of the Benedicts here, as they had fried eggs instead of poached and grilled brioche instead of English muffins. Instead, I went with the Smashed Toast, which was smashed avocado on Texas Toast and topped with a fried egg. A side of hash browns was included, too. Service was top-notch on my visit. I was greeted the moment I entered the door and seated soon after. My iced tea arrived seconds after I ordered it. I was told about the restaurant and the specials, then given time to decide what to order. My plate came out pretty soon after I ordered. I didn't expect it so quickly. I liked that my eggs had a runny yolk. I liked the flavors of the avocado, toast, and hash browns. I was very happy with my selection. The portion was good, and the price was reasonable. The French toast/pancakes caught my eye, too. You can select from the versions they have, like Elvis or mixed berry, or create your own. So I will likely go with that next time. Came here for Sunday lunch with the hubby. Seated quickly, friendly staff brought us menus and took our drink orders. We both ordered the egg scramble. Mine was good, with mushrooms and cheddar but husband's was amazing. He ordered turkey burnt ends in his and they were so tender and flavorful with a plentiful portion. Great new breakfast spot in Wakefield. Have been by twice so far. This is the latest concept in this space in a strip center near the movies. I think this one is the keeper. It's a breakfast/brunch place, closes at 2. There are about 20 tables plus 10 seats at the bar. It's a full bar and there are a number of great choices like mimosas and bloody mary. Menu is varied. Plenty of eggs, pancakes and other breakfast fare and a variety of coffee, tea, latte, cappuccino, etc. First visit, tried avocado toast. 2 slices of thick toasted bread slathered with freshly smashed avocado and then topped with over-medium eggs. Consistency, seasoning are just right. Served with shredded potato hash browns, crispy. Yum! My vegetarian tried the plain Jane. It's eggs benedict minus the ham. Hollandaise sauce is creamy and tart. Another great choice, with those hash browns on the side. Chicken biscuit is just OK. The biscuit was on the dry side and the serving small. The chicken is perfectly though... crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside, a hint of heat. Also tried breakfast burrito. A hashed up combo of eggs, bacon and sausage is rolled into a flour tortilla. The tortilla is then doused in creamy queso and topped with sliced avocado. This was excellent. Service is super friendly and attentive. Prices are reasonable. Time from order to service about 10 minutes. This is a GREAT new spot for breakfast and brunch. My family and I have been to this place multiple times and EVERY SINGLE TIME the employees are so nice and they always check on us to see if we need anything. The food here is so delicious. I very much recommend this place. My mom got some sausage and I was under cooked and was a little pink inside but they were very understanding and brought us a whole new plate of it and was very nice about the situation. We requested smaller meals and were told "no changes" were allowed. So, we ordered, ate and threw away the remaining food! Fast forward to this past weekend. Positives: waitress was pleasant & friendly. Negatives: Hostess that seated us informed us to hide our outside coffee mug on our seats. Didn't ask if we intended to order coffee from there. Their coffee is so strong, it'll take the hairs off your chest. Didn't order coffee. Only water with our meal. I ordered gravy & biscuits. Order comes with two biscuits/sausage. Wasn't allowed to get only one. Ate one & left the other. My husband ordered the Sunny Southern with eggs over medium. Eggs came out cooked hard. There are many restaurants that do allow you to bring in your own coffee mugs. Some ppl don't like the strong black coffee. This restaurant had no signs stating no outside food or beverages allowed. They're too fixed on pushing their elaborate coffee & bar menu could care less what their customers desire. Very filling. Mostly potatoes and eggs but still an over all win. Wifey got the classic 2 egg breakfast. Scrambled hard and crispy bacon with hash-browns and a biscuit. Is it a limited menu? Yes. Did that bother us? No. We've been three times in the past 10 days. We used to play darts out of this location when it was the pickled .... The remodel is SO NICE! All the servers are pleasant. Warm welcomes each time we've entered yet door. Wait time for food is not an issue. I have one complaint. A side of bacon is $6. It is ONLY TWO pieces of bacon. That is NOT ok. The Sunny Days plate is $13 and comes with two eggs, hashbrowns, toast/biscuit and 2 pieces of bacon. There are no options to add bacon to pancakes or french toast for let's say $3. A two piece side of bacon should not be $6. read more

I really wanted to love this place--new breakfast cafe, fun menu--but unfortunately, the experience was just awful. Their "specialty" item, the crème brûlée donut, was cold, hard, and tasted like it had been made the day before and left out. I also ordered a spicy Bloody Mary, which came out syrupy sweet with no detectable alcohol whatsoever. I didn't drink it. It was garnished with the saddest, most lifeless piece of celery I've ever seen--truly a visual metaphor for the whole experience. I tried the BLGT sandwich with soup. The soup was hot, I'll give it that, but the texture was thick and gelatinous--unappetizing in every way. The sandwich itself was fine, but forgettable. I also ordered a side of fruit, which arrived tasting and feeling like it had been carved from decorative centerpiece wood. The only upside? The service. I won't come back to this place. We chose to come here to enjoy brunch for Mother's Day but received less than. When we were seated, the couple beside us stated that the food was mediocre at best. Tried the "eatery" for the first time yesterday. Pros: great recommendation on the special pancakes; the breakfast burritos is good and will ll fill you up ; hash browns are nice and crispy, coffee tasted like coffee and wasn't watered down. Restaurant is clean. We had a new server who was a little overwhelmed, but was replace by the server who recommended the pancakes , she knows her stuff. Con's: fruit on pancakes is compote , not fresh; Side of bacon is 2 slices for $6.00- this needs to fixed. Notice- this is info not complaint - they don't do omelette's they do scrambles ( my wife's was good) , no waffles . We just tried Sundays AM eatery for a second time. I had an iced caramel latte which was very good, but my husband ordered a cold brew. It came in a tiny glass with no ice? We were so confused. We asked the server for some ice and she chuckled and said it's litterally an issue with management, they don't think it gets served with ice? Which makes absolutely no sense as cold brew is literally iced coffee just brewed cold versus hot. It was awful and my husband barely drank it. Our server was very nice and pleasant. My husband got his food and then my order was placed in front of me. It was wrong, but no one came over for quite some time. Finally the expo guy came over and we told him it was wrong, and we were missing our third persons food all together. After some time I did get what I ordered and our friend got her food. I had a scrambler with onions cheese and bacon. It was slightly weird. The eggs were too wet, almost like there was batter in the eggs , it's hard to describe what was off about it. Our friend got the berry French toast. I highly do not recommend their French toast. It's deep fried brioche, and all you can taste is the oil and it's almost like you're eating fried dough. It honestly doesn't taste like French toast and not good. We honestly wouldn't be back. We've been twice, both times we didn't love our food and there's just something off. One tip that'll get a diner an added rating point is when they heat up the syrup for pancakes and it's maple syrup at that, not some generic corn syrupy kind of offering of so many places use. I was excited to see a new breakfast place but wasn't impressed. We went Friday around noon. Almost every table was dirty . We waited for a while before being seated and there weren't many people there. Our booth had food in the seats we had to brush to the floor before sitting. The service was very slow and at one point our waitress disappeared. I had to ask another waitress for our check. The food was overpriced for the quality (2 eggs, a very small portion of hashbrowns, 2 pieces of bacon and toast) and the coffee tasted weird like it was old or sitting all morning. I recommend the waffle house instead. It's cheaper, bigger portions and the coffee is better. read more
