I would recommend a reservation as there is not a lot of tables. Get the charcuterie board!! Side note a lot of things come with bread so you don't need another separate order if you get some dips or other apps. I should have asked because I had so much bread that night!

A friend had told us about Plancha and never got around it until recently. It's a small place but a solid menu and lots of wine. They were also able to accommodate us with our stroller. Food we got the pan con jamon, garlic shrimp, patatas bravas, shisito peppers and the plancha burger. The sangria was very good. Juicy, not overloaded with BS fruit and just very flavorful. The bread is like a toasted baguette cut into 4 triangles topped with piquillo salsa, arugula and jamon. Pretty good, I was surpised there wasn't pan con tomato but it was still enjoyable. This is a bit more on the acidic side so if you don't like things too tangy - might not be for you. Patatas bravas, classic with aioli and bravas sauce. Shisito peppers blistered, a bit of finishing salt and lemon. Garlic shrimp was cooked well, personally I'd like a bit more garlic in mine and some bread to mop would be nice but still tasty. Plancha burger was definitely our favorite. It's a blend of wagyu sirloin and chorizo, so it's very juicy with a nice smokiness. Very pleasantly surprised and definitely will be back to try some other things.

We recently stopped at Rustica Pizzeria & Ristorante with family and friends to celebrate our…read moredaughter graduating from Hofstra with her Master's degree. The ambiance was quiet and family-style dining -- nothing too fancy, but still a nice place to sit, relax, and eat together. We ordered a variety of dishes and appetizers including the Clams Oreganata, Clams Casino, Chicken Piccata, Penne Gamberetti, Rigatoni Florentina, Baked Ziti, a Margarita Slice, Pepperoni Roll, and a basket of bread. Unfortunately, most of us left feeling disappointed overall. The Clams Casino and Clams Oreganata were around $18 each and only came with 6 very tiny clams per plate. They were okay at best, definitely not great. We've honestly paid less elsewhere for larger portions with much better flavor and quality. I really enjoy Italian food, so I'm always hoping for a memorable meal, but this one just didn't hit the mark. The Pepperoni Roll especially tasted like it wasn't fresh and may have been reheated instead of made fresh. The dough was tough and the cheese was just "eh." Most of the other entrées were decent, but nothing stood out as great. No one at the table finished h the a meal. The best parts of the meal were honestly the Margarita slice, the bread basket, and the service. Our waitress was polite, attentive, and did a very nice job throughout the evening. I hate leaving anything less than a positive review, especially after celebrating such a special occasion, but based on our experience I'm not sure I'd return. If given the chance again, I'd probably explore other Italian options nearby.
