Delicious. I had the Greek salad and the traditional BBQ sandwich. Absolutely great!!

The pad thai salad is delicious! I gobbled it down! The veggie burger was good but was a little too tomato sauce tasting for my liking. My husband had a salad that he really liked. read more

One of the few (maybe only? ) exclusively vegan/vegetarian places in town. While I'm not vegan myself, I went with a friend who was. Everything I had was outstanding - everything was locally sourced and fresh. The staff was kind, caring and attentive - they were all knowledgeable about the menu and wiling to answer any questions at length. Food was very reasonably priced as well! Very cute place. Recommended! read more

A vegan's heaven. The best non-meat options I've ever seen at a restaurant! The owner is super helpful and nice, offering samples of anything. read more

Yum! Love the options here. Pad Thai and Southwest Salad are great options. Love having a good vegan option around.

This place is an absolute gem. It's been one of the best places in Nashville to eat in general for years. If you don't know yet, you'd best go see for yourself. Their veggie burgers are made in-house and they haunt me. read more

I'm currently addicted to this place. Obsessed with the sweet potato tacos and Pad Thai quinoa. Plenty of room, indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, free samples (so you know you love it before you buy it). AND did I mention PLENTY OF PARKING!! What's not to love :) read more

Great food! Eat here every time we visit Nashville. Vegan cuisine with authenticity. Consistently delicious. Be sure to Check out their vegan chocolate desserts. read more

This is a pretty cool spot. Pros: - unique menu with lots of options. I'm not vegan but enjoyed a lot of the cool twists on vegan food - easy to order and food is ready immediately - great outdoor patio - not crazy expensive Cons: - the food isn't amazing to the point that I'd want to quickly go back on my own. But if it was suggested as a place to meet up with friends, I wouldn't say no. read more

Picked this place for my wife thinking she would enjoy it; however, I underestimated how much I would enjoy it. Very filling size portions and flavorful dishes. We tried just about everything bc we are not in that area of town often. Banh Mi wrap is our recommendation out of everything read more

This was our first time at The Sunflower. We saw that it was selected as the best vegetarian/vegan restaurant by readers of the Tennessean and decided to try it. The mushroom garlic burger was delicious. It falls apart when you try to eat it, but that doesn't matter. Their hummus was also very good and with a wonderful nutty flavor even better than a middle eastern restaurant that we frequent. The people there were friendly and helpful with special requests. I just wish it were closer to my home but I will still go there when I can. read more

The best crab cake I have ever had! Everything was so fresh! I travel for work and I'm always looking for good places when I'm on the road and this was the best find I've had in awhile! read more

Really enjoyed my meal here last week for dinner. Went on a Thursday evening around 7pm and it was moderately busy. I got the black bean special burger with the broccoli salad on the side and it was phenomenal! Really flavorful and delicious! I'm not a vegan by any means, but was still thoroughly satisfied and happy with my meal! This is definitely someplace I would come back to next time i'm in town - good food, cute location, good price, and delicious! read more

I loved everything about SunFlower Cafe!! From the food to the people, this place was amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on their menu. I had the Traditional BBQ Wrap and the flavors were incredible. If you're looking for a welcoming place to grab a great (filling) meal and relax, you're looking at the right place. They have parking as well so you don't have to deal with the hassle of trying to find a parking spot. I would recommend this to anyone in the area!! :-) read more

Sunflower Cafe - The traditional BBQ wrap - Cafes Near Me - Nashville, Tennessee

Went to the Sunflower Cafe for the first time today and got the traditional sunflower burger to go. The inside of the cafe had a really cool vibe and the staff was very friendly. Next time I go, I will definitely dine in. Also I was planning on taking a picture of my burger, but it was so good I forgot and ate the whole thing haha read more

YUP! Now this is the kind of place I have been looking for! If you're a vegan or vegetarian, then you understand that it can be difficult at times to get a great meal, especially when you're traveling. I got some good news, if you are coming through Nashville, as I am, then Sunflower Cafe is. A. Must! From what I could tell 100% of what was here was vegan and it was all incredibly delicious. It's almost bittersweet bc I don't have one of these back home. read more

Great vegan food, they are so creative with their ingredients!! A must try, will be back

Sunflower is phenomenal. Vegans and omnivores alike love it. The mock crab cakes (a frequent special) are excellent, as is the barbecue bowl --I get the 'traditional' BBQ with kale and rice (they give you choices). That thing can feed 2 people easily, especially with a side. I also LOVE their buffalo tempeh wrap and get it on spinach tortilla with kale instead of greens. The cookie dough parfait is great, too. Everything is fresh, scratch-made, and SO good! read more

This is one of our favorite places in Nashville to grab a quick bite. Great food, fast service, and most importantly it's al vegan!

I wanted to love it, but it was just ok. Not bad, but not great either. The restaurant itself is cute and quaint with gravel parking and hidden in the Berry Hill area. Quite convenient for me since I work down the street. I love the concept - quick, prepared hot bar and cold for a fast lunch. They have an assortment of entrees and sides including veggie burgers. I had the 'crab cakes' with a side of roasted potatoes and kale. If you're not going to have any meats, I believe your sides should be exceptional, and that just fell short for me. The crab cakes were delicious, food flavor and texture; however, the potatoes need seasoning and were under-cooked. The kale was fine, nothing to swoon over. For a $15 lunch, I expected more. But I get it, eating healthy costs you more, right? The workers were exceptionally nice. Would love to try one of their many veggies burgers and definitely different sides. read more

Have made it a point to eat at every Vegetarian restaurant I can find. Sunflower is great. Help is awesome and friendly. Fresh food cost more and its worth the price. I can't wait to get back there again. Thanks for your hard work and effort to bring fresh food to Nashville. read more

The food here is great! Everything is fresh and their apple vanilla dessert is just amazing. Even if you aren't a vegetarian you will find the food very flavorful and a nice change from ordinary. And the staff is so nice and friendly. Always very clean, too. My favorite place to eat in Nashville. read more

Great Vegan place. Glad We found it online while visiting! The food was delicious and the outside sitting is cute. Even our 3 year old love it! Definitely recommend it. read more

I got the burger and it was the best!!! Environment and vibe was really nice! The food again was great except kinda of pricey, but that was expected.dessert was awesome... the vegan desserts took my non vegan friends by surprise. Our waiter gave us a free cheesecake since he liked us so much and it was left over... we were probably one of the last groups there. The location is good but make sure to find good parking since the lot is usually full. read more

Great food here. Always tastes great and they give ample portions. The downside is that the service is very slow. We arrived inside the restaurant at 4:58, and didn't get our food and pay until 5:26. Almost a 30 minute wait is really much too ling! read more

Unbelievably good!!! I would eat here for every meal if I could! I had the veggie burger bowl and it was delicious! I highly recommend eating here!!! read more

This place is amazing my favorite food in Nashville. Come here and try the BBQ, you will NOT be sad. Thanks for hosting our flat earth meet up. read more

While it was very much out of our way to get here, it was worth it! My husband had a veggie burger--which he liked-- and I opted for the Taco Tuesday special. The BBQ Taco was amazing. The black bean and sweet potato was a bit predictable as far as flavor. The ingredients were quality and the staff was incredibly nice. Overall, the menu had a wide variety of options proving that vegan and vegetarian cuisine isn't limited to pastas and salads. Totally diverse crowd in the restaurant. read more

Such a blessing!! Came here to break up a long road trip back from Florida and I'm just so so happy any time I visit Nashville there's this super cool vegan spot. Ate off their menu and had to get a snack from their grab-and-go case because I was so impressed by the food. Cannot recommend enough. I went with two meat eaters and they loved it as well. Amazing! Vegan delicious food. This place is very busy for good reason. Friendly efficient service

Food was so good! Nothing left! My girlfriend and I both had the Traditional BBQ sandwich with side of sweet potato. More than enough to eat in a sitting. Many choices of sides... the only downfall is every side is Alicart and additional $2.00 for each. Beer is available. read more

I feel guilty whenever I give less than a 5-star review to a vegan or vegetarian restaurant. I love having restaurants that cater to us vegans and I really appreciate having Sunflower Cafe in the community. Many people absolutely love it, it is not quite what I am looking for in a dining experience. Try it, you might love it too. So far, I have been to Sunflower cafe 5 or 6 times and have tried many things on the menu. I have been consistently underwhelmed by the food overall though there are some glowing parts that I really appreciate and will highlight. First, the epicness: -The Kale will blow your mind. it isn't overdone and has a great flavor. They use a bit of sesame oil and it is delicious. Each time I have gone, I have had this and it is great. -Locally brewed kombucha on tap! Yes please! -Organic agave sweetened sodas! -A bunch of delicious local baked goods that are delicious. -Most of the ingredients are local and ethically sourced. Now for the less than awesome: Each time I have been, the satisfaction to price ratio has been a bit off. The food comes in small portions that leave me wanting a snack when I leave. The hot food is also not quite hot. That is the problem with warming trays, the food is never quite as delicious as it should be. Additionally, the reverse buffet style really precludes many interesting flavors and dishes. In an attempt to please the masses, creativity and flavor seems to be getting lost. Today I ate the Thai Ginger Tofu over quinoa and was very disappointed. I had to smother it in sriracha to make it something edible. It also had an unfortunate color, off brownish. Last time I went I had the lasagna and thought it was good but the one inch sliver I got left my belly wanting more. There was one slice left (the size that the person got in front of me) but when I ordered it was cut in half to make the last of it stretch. all this for $11. Add a drink (or anything else), it adds up to about $15. Thats a bit more than my lunch budget can handle, especially when I leave still wanting. I will keep coming for vegan events and organized meals, but it is not one of my regular haunts I would recommend everyone interested in food try this place. It may not be my favorite, but it might be yours. read more

Laura Yazdian has opened a healthy herbivore Melrose-area cafe. The big bright deck painted sunflower yellow with gray accents is my favorite spot to eat here. It's comfortable even in cool weather since it's enclosed with a clear covering. Sunflower Cafe is easy to find, appropriately by the intersection of Iris and Azalea streets. Locally sourced ingredients from growers in middle Tennessee including Bells Bend and Delvin Farms are the basis of their food. The choices are a variety of vegetarian organic, gluten-free and vegan recipes. I wasn't surprised at the veggie burger or hummus which are often found at natural foods restaurants. My favorite is the special Sunflower beans and rice plate with fresh veggies, cheese and spicy sauce. It's geshmak! Other items that shine at the Sunflower are the bean wrap and sweet delights like homemade crispys, cookies and chocolate. read more

EXTREMELY UNHAPPY that new owners decided to increase the prices & took away combination specials/plates. It's all a la carte. Before I knew this I ordered my usual veggie burger & 2 sides. With a drink it is now $18+ dollars. Yes, you read that right. OVER EIGHTEEN DOLLARS. That's insane. It's a veggie burger, beans & potatoes. Not an enormous amount of food. This sadly certainly has tainted my view of coming here. I will now have to choose it less often & likely won't as readily suggest it to others if this continues to be the case. (Most of my friends are on a budget too.) Plus they're bringing beer on the premises. So I get the message the agenda isn't to provide affordable clean vegan food--It's to make money. Sure, we all need & want to make money. But, this is food - not the doctor's office. We have to consume food everyday all day. My trust value drops too when things like this happen because owners who do this typically eventually slowly skimp on quality. Maybe that's not the case here. Let's hope not. In my opinion, it's a terrible move & not a way to grow your business - but given how Berry Hill continues to be more & more upscale, I suppose the elite will love it & the rest of us will move along. Sad. And if I seem upset well, yes, I'm upset. One of my favorite places just bumped itself out of my already on the bubble budget. In a positive note, the owner was kind and took my complaint thanking me for being here. He said they had to raise prices to keep up with rising food costs. read more

Great vegan / vegetarian / gluten free food. I like that this places focuses on fresh, healthy food with a few faux meat options instead of the whole restaurant consisting of unhealthy fake veggie meat items like a lot of vegetarian spots do. Also, their cookie dough parfaits are amazing. read more

My fiancé and I LOVE Sunflower Cafe! It's our favorite vegan food in Nashville. Everything is delicious and reasonably priced! I haven't had anything I didn't like, but some of my favorites are the mock crab cakes, lasagna, any quesadilla, and pretty much all the burgers. All the staff is very friendly and helpful.
