    Earl grey salt bread

Their earl grey salt bread gives me life!! Perfectly not too sweet. I buy some every month at the Cheers for Queers event at Movement Fountain Valley. The honey garlic salt bread and green onion pancake cloud bread (like a fluffy focaccia) is seasonal but also delicious. The sunkissed sisters are always friendly and helpful in their recommendations. Excited to see them continue to expand!

I can't get enough of their Earl Grey Salt Bread! It is so yummy and has just the right amount of crunchy and chewy and fluffy. I tried the LNY cake and it was reminiscent of childhood asian cakes, not too sweet, with fluffy frosting, but more elevated flavors. LOVE!

I love how unique Sunkissed bread's products are! Their Earl Grey Salt Bread, Cornflake Miso Cookie, and Sweet Potato Tart are my favorites so far but I've yet to try everything! I enjoy the Asian flare that each dessert has and that it's not overly sweet. I've purchased Sunkissed baked goods at pop ups and have ordered from them online. It's always a great experience. Definitely recommend supporting this delicious, family run, small business!

I absolutely love this cookie store! Their creative Asian-inspired flavors are perfect. Every time my roommate comes back from LA to the Bay Area, I get so excited to munch on these cookies. The flavors are always unique and delicious-- I am waiting for the pineapple flavor to make a comeback!! Highly recommend giving them a try if you're in LA or can get someone to bring them back for you!

After I realized that not all smoking tigers are the same- some have the fresh baked stuff and the others get it shipped in, it's worth the extra travel to go to the bread factories. I don't think it's fair to review the food since most of it rotates so much, BUT... that buttery flakey crust of the chicken pot pie literally made me want to eat 1000 of them in one sitting. Everything is good. Literally EVERYThING is delicious. Just make sure you ask them to warm it up. Cause who wants a room temp bread when you don't have to live like that. In the time it took to warm up my pot pie, I was able to ask my usual incessant questions which were all answered with super chill and friendly conversation. The people are really sweet and knowledgeable. Always a good experience here.

As a ex Italian barista, this was pulled from a previously used and dead shot. The color and even the flavor did not even resemble a Brazilian/Sumatra blend. Unacceptable, disgusting, and just a plain waste of my time and money. Shame on the women baristas there who were working the machines to do this. I wanted to give this place a try while I was in the area since we have one in Garden Grove. Unfortunately that was a mistake, but fortunately I know not to visit the GG one also.

On my last visit, the wait time was super long even though there was only two people in front of me. I'll consider this a one off, but I have to say if I ever saw a line again I'd probably forego picking anything up. The wait was like 15+ mins for two people before me. Even saw the lady behind me put down her items and left because it took so long. Normally, I manage to purchase my items and leave immediately, so just be conscious of the line. The pasteries here are just ok. I don't think they're amazing. Serviceable. I think the best item they have here in their chicken curry pastry, and only if you pop it in the air fryer once you bring it home. Otherwise the pastry is kinda wilted and sad. Air fryer crisps it back up and makes it fairly tasty. Inside filling is flavorful and tasty. I also got their portugese egg tart and bbg pork bun on my last visit here. I would not get either of these again. They're not bad, just not great. They're fine. Portugese egg tart isn't as crispy as I'd like even after some air fryer treatment. BBG pork bun's filling was a bit too sweet, and not very tasty. Service may be a little slow, but the employees are nice and I can see they're working hard. Store is also clean and all the pasteries are orderly. I'd say don't go out of your way to visit here, but definitely try an item or two if you're ever shopping at the 99 Ranch it's inside of.

I'm never really tempted enough to try their breads.

The Ube Monster is consistently my go to and they seriously know how to do ube right, not just with their drinks but their pastries and desserts too. Personally I think Cafe 86 has one of the best halo halo around. Even compared to a lot of Filipino restaurants and dessert places I've tried, this one stands out. I'd even take their halo halo over Chowking or Red Ribbon. Cafe 86 is basically what I think a modern Filipino halo halo and ube dessert spot should be. Not to mention always friendly staff and super comfy seating. Nice place to chill and catch up for desserts tho a lil small. They've mastered ube here and I love that they're bringing Filipino flavors into more modern drinks and desserts without losing what makes them good in the first place. It was nice to learn that they offer both kinds of halo halo in the smaller size. The only new surprise is now they charge extra to change the vanilla ice cream to the Ube ice cream. It was nice they still let us eat in, but as soon as it hit 9:00pm, they went out from the back and told us they were closed and sort of pushed us out as fast as they were able to.

I will say, the cakes are on the pricier side, so it might not be an everyday purchase, but for a birthday, celebration, or something special, I think it's worth it. It was so underwhelming and unseasoned I genuinely sat there confused, like... is this a prank? Did somebody forget salt exists? My honey ordered the smash burger and it was also underseasoned and overcooked. A sad little double feature of disappointment. Service matched the food. Once they dropped the plates, they ghosted. Never table-touched, never checked in. They could literally see the looks on our faces and still kept walking by like we were invisible. We ended up throwing most of it away. I only took the egg and those sad, unseasoned potatoes home so I could try to rescue them myself. The bacon? Delicious. Absolute legend. Everything else tasted like it was cooked by someone who's never met a spice rack. To the owner: please, for the love of brunch, go find the seasoning. It's out there somewhere. We believe in you.
