Tui Na focuses on bones, blood flow and joints which is more of a chinese medical massage. It is not relaxing or comfortable. It has been a challenge finding a place to go to after Health Trail closed down. I've been to many others ever since and today I found Yuan Shi and they are what I've been searching for. I now have bad knees and back pains. I came in on a Sunday and got an hour of the Chinese full body Tui Na. Michael was my masseuse and little dude is strong. He was able to pinpoint all my pain areas and proceeded to roll, press, stretch and kneed it to death. The more squirming I did and wincing from pain, the harder he went. I wanted to stop showing my pain just so he would stop sometimes. But as the guy at Health Trail said, "No pain, No gain". The timer went off after and hour and he continued working my back for another 5 minutes. I really appreciated it, as he knew I was in need of this session. 1 hour was $50, and I tipped $20. He really earned every dollar. Im sore from the bruising but my back pains are relieved right now. I'm considering buying the certificate. 10 sessions for $500 upfront and comes with 3 free massages. This seems really worth it in my opinion. I'm definitely coming back again.

Very petite and polite woman but man is she strong! She lead me to our room in the basement (I read another review that said it was cold and dark, not sure if that was 49th St.). Room was very comfortable and music softly playing in the background (review said that music was pumped/loud). She stated with a dry massage, with the blanket, and went into the official oil massage. Yuni definitely knows what she is doing because I didn't need to tell her about my problem spots she hit them right away! I was surprised at her strength and she literally almost had me so relaxed, I could have drooled while on the table. She did full back, legs, hips and arms. She didn't have me flip over but I got exactly what I needed so I felt no way about that. When she was done, she thanked me and I proceeded to get dressed and be on my way. I liked that we were able to fill out the diagram to show where we preferred they concentrate the massage and where we wanted them to avoid. The masseuse confirmed when he walked in and then showed me the timer for 60 min before beginning. The ambiance was perfect and we both enjoyed our massages. They even had a bathroom with a shower and robes/slippers for us to use after we were finished. It's a step above your no frills massage parlor! I would definitely recommend going here for a quality massage!
