We stopped in for breakfast while staying at a nearby hotel. The check-in deal for a free half order of puffs was definitely what sealed the decision for us. The staff was friendly and took great care of us. The atmosphere is a little obnoxious and it feels like a tourist trap diner in Florida, even though we are in Arizona. The amount of decorations, cards for sale, etc, make it feel dirty and excessive. The food was above average for a great price. I had the Marks Big Daddy's Breakfast and the portions were massive. My meal was exactly what I wanted and it hit the spot. The puffs were delicious and reminded us of beignets. The staff was constantly cleaning and tables were spaced out. read more

Biscuits were not homemade and tasted like they were a day or two old. The service was OK. Pleasant staff, just slow. My wife's food was served cold with limp bacon when she ordered it extra crispy. When we told the server, she apologized and microwaved it to warm it up. But by that time we were ready to leave. No discount for the cold breakfast. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious.... But the silverware had more than just water stains on it, it had like gunk. It killed us having to ask our super nice waiter for new silverware as it seemed like she's trying her best. She took our silverware back, put them back into the little tub she got them from and was digging around in all the silverware trying to find us the cleanest looking ones, they didn't wash them for us lol; She apologized a million times, I know it's not her fault I know they must have like someone back there washing the dishes. The food came out quickly and it was pretty good but the price of the food there was a little shocking, the side of ranch was like $3 or something crazy like that and we were a little nervous because we couldn't see what the plates looked like under the food but we still ate it, it will make our immune systems stronger lol. But overall the waiter was nice she kept apologizing and when we went they had like none of the drinks but that's okay only a few and the silverware was something else. read more

so when I am out on the road, I always like to eat breakfast at restaurants that are not a chain. Supporting local mom and pop. I would actually give this place about 3.5 stars. I probably won't be going back. The biggest drawback is the price. The bill was $21.78 for coffee and a breakfast consisting of three eggs, four slices of bacon, Country potatoes, and French toast. The food was good and the coffee was tasty, but I just feel the price was much higher than I am used to paying. The server was good. I had to ask for coffee refills and she would interact with other customers from across the room instead of going to their table. The restaurant plays Mexican music continuously. There is no Internet. Cleanliness is average. I really can't find anything spectacular to write about or anything extremely negative. As I mentioned, the price is the biggest issue here. Maybe it's that way all across Arizona, I can't be sure. I guess we can thank Bidenomics for that. read more

Staff was welcoming, server came over immediately, took our drink order, came back for our food order and the food was out in just a few minutes. I had the pancake & egg combo, my friend had the French Toast & egg combo, both with bacon. Pancakes, Eggs, bacon, French Toast, all delicious, served hot. Cute place! Clean and bright. Nice breakfast menu! Mom was able to get her oatmeal and I had a wonderful spinach, bacon and Swiss omelet that came with toast and fruit. And they let me sub bell pepper for the mushrooms. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. It wasn't very full, but it is a Tuesday. I bet this place is packed at lunch. Writing this in hopes that the kitchen staff will read it and take heed. This was my first visit, and I was excited to learn that their chicken fried steak was hand breaded and not frozen (most places are lazy and go the sub-standard frozen route and it's just sad). I was excited to see it come out and fill an entire plate. The excitement quickly ended, though, when I moved the (delicious) gravy to find a spanse of meat that had been pounded to within a (barely) 1/4 inch of its life. This led to it being grossly overcooked and I nearly needed a Sawsall to cut it. No flavor, leathery texture, and just a HUGE disappointment. Kitchen..... PLEASE don't keep pounding these out just to give them a more impressive size on the plate. Leave it about a half inch thick and cook it correctly so you don't destroy any flavor it could have otherwise had. Trust me, your gravy is amazing, the breading seemed fine, but the steak was ruined before you ever put any heat to it. And THANK YOU for being willing to put the effort into hand breading.... it IS MUCH appreciated. Just please do it correctly, and you will become a regular stop kicking back up to 5 stars! Great atmosphere, great staff, and overall pretty good stuff. read more

The place is a disheveled mess. We stood in the doorway waiting for a table. No engagement. This is all while a table was open right in front of us. We finally had someone say sorry we are trying. I am so glad I took a chance on this place! I ordered through Door Dash and was blown away. I got scrambled eggs with cheese hash browns, toast, puffs and strawberry lemonade. The bacon was cooked to perfection and crisp. None of that limp bacon you tend to get at other restaurants. They actually cook their hash browns all the way! The eggs were cooked just right and they put cheddar on instead of that fake American cheese nonsense! They give you 4 pieces of toast. The puffs are dangerous! Delicious little buggers! They don't play around with their drinks either! I received a large cup of the strawberry lemonade and it is so good! I highly recommend this place! read more
