Sunny's Pool in the Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center has a bar and kitchen named Sunny's. My wife and I had very low expectations for this place and was pleasantly surprised when we tried the Baja Style Fish tacos (fried fish, chipotle mayo, cilantro, cabbage, hot sauce, lime), Wagyu Ribeye Asada tacos (avocado pico, crispy melted cheese, salsa roja) and Esquite (grilled corn, baja crema, cotija, tajin). Each item we ordered was delicious! You can also order cocktails, draft/canned beers and wine to enjoy poolside! Full bar to the left of the Sunny's sign too. This is a full service place which will provide menus to you poolside and bring everything right to you once an order has been placed. Thank you to the team here for a great experience and great food! We'll definitely be back a couple more times before we depart!

It is located inside the Growler Sports Bar, close to the lobby. The host at Growler showed us the entrance, and since we arrived right at opening time, we were able to choose any seating we liked. They have a great cocktail menu. I tried the Brunch Bootleg and the Pink Lady, and both were delicious. What I also loved is that they can create off menu cocktails based on your preferred flavor profile, making the experience feel even more personalized. They also have a few off list draft beer options for only $10. There are three parking options available: valet for $30, self parking at the hotel for $20, or free 3 hour self parking across the street.

After dinner at one of the hotel restaurants, we headed over to C&C at about 9:20pm. We looked for the "special door". We found it, approached, and walked through two doors and entered C&C. The lights were dimmed to add to the ambiance. At first glance the decor was nice and the vibe was chill. We spotted two vacant tables and a row of vacant seats and tables against the back wall. Just as we were about to seat ourselves we were approached by a lady with a name badge. Unfortunately, I didn't get her name. She went on to ask us to exit C&C and wait outside for her to come and get us. We were basically being kicked out. WTF? There were vacant tables, so what was the issue? We were dressed nice as we just came from dinner, while others were dressed in t-shirts and shorts. We were taken aback, and we walked out questioning what had just happened. As we were standing outside she came out and handed us a couple of menus and she went back inside. Just then, a group of three exited and approached us and jokingly said that we could go inside. Then they said, "I can't believe she kicked you guys out, what the hell? There were tables open, what's her problem. I was shocked!" It was clear that what had just happened was not right. Not just in our opinion, but to others as well. Still don't know what the issue was. There were no signs outside to indicate that we were to wait. No one outside to guide guests. There were some velvet ropes, but they had been pushed completely to the side. I didn't want to be upset, but those three guests that spoke to us solidified our feelings. The lady came back out to tell us that we could now go inside. We were the only two people standing outside waiting. I decided to hand her the menus, said we were good, and we left to go grab a drink at the lobby bar. Not sure what the issue was but it was handled poorly. If there was some type of protocol to follow and it failed, she should have seated us, rather than kick us out, and then step back into the flow of things. Wish I could give this place a higher rating. Maybe we'll try again in the future.

Service: 4.5/5 The person who took our order was so kind, offering us water when we didn't order any drinks and making sure we needed nothing else while we ate. From the start, our server was inattentive and seemed completely dismissive when we mentioned we were celebrating a birthday. There was no acknowledgment at all, which made the occasion feel overlooked. To make matters worse, on a Friday night they were out of all draft beer, which was surprising for a restaurant and bar that promotes its tropical cocktails and lively atmosphere. Dessert was the biggest letdown. The mango sticky rice was honestly one of the worst versions we've ever had--poorly prepared and lacking flavor. The chocolate cake was so dry that it was practically inedible. The tropical décor and hidden tiki speakeasy "X" are interesting concepts, but the poor service and disappointing food overshadowed what should have been a special birthday celebration. We left feeling let down and will not return.
