I came here with a friend on a Sunday after church for some brunch. The two of us waited almost half an hour to be seated, but that's expected for a Sunday. The server got my order wrong, but offered to change as soon as I pointed out. I ordered their sweet potato pancakes, and fries with bacon and cheese. The portions were big for me, and I was able to take the leftover with me to go. Both were decent and very filling, but I wouldn't eat this every day as they are too oily to my liking. Their North Augusta location is very similar in terms of the decoration, service, and food. Would have been five stars if the food were not so greasy, then again it won't be a southern diner. :) read more

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Counter seating is first come first served. If you want a table, you've gotta wait and sit on these long pews up front and wait to be seated. There were a ton of people there, for good reason. I had the sweet potato pancakes (comes with cinnamon cream syrup), hubby had the waffle, and we shared a corned beef hash and eggs meal. Friendly staff, busy place. I went with 3 people. We had sweet potato pancakes, eggs benedict, country ham and eggs, & western omelet. We all loved it. My cousin picked this place of all the places in town, and I was glad she did. It was great! I'd definitely try to go back when I'm in town again. It's very casual, with "country" decor and servers to match, but they're friendly, fast, and the food tastes good, and the bill ran about $9 a person including coffee. Can't beat it! read more

I took my mom and brother for the first time today to this restaurant after my mom's nurse told us about it, only to find out that my first experience there was not a good one. When we ordered there I was supposed to get a French toast and split it with my mom but instead they charged us for two orders of French Toast instead and when I mentioned it instead of fixing the check and charge us for only one they adjusted the second one by charging us $3.25 for the second one. Second, the waitress was constantly asking my mom if she was done when in fact she was still eating. It is as that waitress was in a hurry to leave and want it us gone. Any other restaurants would give us the time to finish our food and take our time. But this one was pressuring us to leave. Not going back again. read more

We moved here from TX last week and found this place at lunchtime on a Saturday . I ordered an omelet, cheese grits and potato's. My wife got a Reuben, my son had the chicken and dumplings and my nephew got the pancakes. They were all excellent. The grilled biscuits were very very good. We went back on Sunday morning and it was equally good. I think we have found our regular breakfast joint. You can't get food like this in Texas! Great service as well. read more

I've been here twice, service was great both times but the second time I found hair in my pancakes. The waitress actually noticed it at the same time that I did and removed that cost from my meal, while that was gross I don't imagine it's a common occurrence since I didn't have any issues the first time and I appreciate how well it was handled. The sweet potato pancakes were really good, not sure if I'd go again though simply because I'm kind of OCD about how my food is made and that might've left a scar. read more

Been there teice, first time they were slammed and today it was much less chaotic....regardlrss of how busy they were the waitress. Michelle, brought our coffee and as soon as were ready to order took it out the order in....she kept our cups full and then showed up with our breakfasts....as to their food..the omelets are fresh and stuffed with delectable ingredients...their biscuits and gravy are delicious, their home fries, what I call cottage fries are oh-so-good, and can be loaded with onions and peppers and covered with cheese....all in all a great place to go for a breakfast better than even I can fix at home!! read more

After reading the reviews I was looking forward to eating there. My sweetie and I seated ourselves and a few seconds later we were greeted by a cheery waitress. We started off with a cup of coffee and perused the menu. I settled on two eggs, bacon, home fries and a side of toasted rye. He opted for corned beef hash and eggs with a side of blueberry pancakes. About 5 minutes later we were served our breakfast. I dug into the home fries and knew instantly it was not fresh, but lukewarm to almost cold as if it was sitting in a bowl until it was ready to be plated. The eggs which were supposed to be sunny side up was a bit well done. The bacon was ok, but tasted as if was microwaved. I was pretty disappointed, but glad that the coffee and toast was alright. We didn't see our waitress to ask us how our meals were which is pretty standard etiquette. My sweetie wasn't too fond of his breakfast. The corn beef lacked flavor, hash brown was old with a piece that was so hard it almost broke his tooth. The blueberry pancakes was dense and not fluffy. Overall experience I don't think I will be back. Sunny side up eggs and home fries are pretty simple to execute. read more

Yelp led us here around brunchtime. Tablemates loved the home fries and I enjoyed my tuna melt on grilled rye. Free refills on the soda. The French toast looked good though I didn't try it. They are the only place in town with an eggs Benedict. That's the only reason I go there. What do they think corned beef hash is? Pancakes are good as well and so are prices but everything is covered in salt just like every meal I have here in the south. Service is okay at best. read more

We had a Chico omelet with potatoes and toast, grits with cheese and egg, a Belgium waffle with whip cream and strawberries, and a waffle with pecans all were really good. This place is basically Waffle House quality with a couple exceptions. First let me say there is nothing wrong with Waffle House quality as sometimes cheap breakfast food is exactly what I want. The notable exceptions to that sentiment were the Eggs Benedict and the Omlets both of which were solid offerings. Unfortunately the cold syrup at the table and cheap pancake mix undercut what could have been a solid meal. To me this place is a 3 star eatery with 3 star prices. A bit cheaper and it would be a 4 star place. Bit better quality food, 4 star place. However given its slightly more expensive than Waffle House pricing at Waffle House quality, just go to Waffle House. read more

OMG the food was amazing! We had the sweet potato pancakes and the home fries with turkey bacon & eggs! Delicious! I watched the cooks while sitting at the counter seating and they were getting orders knocked out quickly! Everyone was working great together.
