Horrible AC service. We had to hire another AC company to properly install our AC unit. They are also liars and very deceptive. I emailed a complaint and they ignored me. They are certainly not customer driven. American Home Shield should be shame. They are a horrible warranty company. If AHS sends Sunrise to your home you are likely to get an unsatisfactory outcome. STAY AWAY FROM SUNRISE HOME SERVICES: This contractor was sent by our home warranty service on 6/14. I was on vacation at the time, but my grandmother was there for the service visit. When the contractor arrived, Grandmother called me to unlock our NEST system. He then worked on the unit for an hour and told my grandmother that he needed to grab a part but would be "right back". He never returned! She called upset that she'd been waiting all day for him to return. I called the contractor office twice and left voicemails. No return call. I then called our home warranty. I was told that the Sunrise contractor "found" our system tampered with upon arrival and could not go further. What BS! I was livid. NOTE: we call our home warranty whenever we have a major issue and would never attempt to make repairs our self. Our warranty is paid in full annually! Two, how in the entire hell does a contractor actively work on a system for an hour but THEN claim he "found" the system tampered with? It is obvious to me that Sunrise did not know what the hell he was doing. If something seemed off, he should have advised us of the matter immediately (upon approach) so that we would be aware! I am a person of integrity. To even insinuate that we tampered with a system that is fully warranted is disrespectful and completely unacceptable. If you use this company you are being for warned that they are the worse company out there. I was FORCED to use them by the home warranty company. Lets just start with the basics. they arrived. I talked to Gilbert before he entered my condo and told him that on yelp that there were 19 reviews and 17 gave them a one star. I asked him why, he gave me an answer which i accepted. Basically people write reviews when they are not happy but never do when they are satisfied. I agreed and Gilbert came in. The assestment was easy. the contractor installed the wrong duct work and it needed to be replaced with the correct duct work. He needed to take pictures and send to the home warranty company for them to approve the work. Gilbert told me that it would cost around 350.00 plus materials since the duct work was less than 10 feet. He said he would call it in immediately and that it would upload to the home warranty company immediately. That my friends was on June 22. Today July 20, 4 weeks later and after countless phone calls to my home warranty company Sunrise finally submitted the paper work and not by the normal channels but my home warranty company took the information over the phone. 4 weeks in the heat of Dallas Texas did it take Sunrise to do their job. Oh and sunrise quoted my home warranty company 1200.00 to do the work. What happened to the 350.00 Gilbert quoted me. My home warranty company sent these guys. In the process of repair, the tech disconnected my overflow drain on the A/C pan. After he left, water came through the ceiling. I called them back out, they admitted their fault and fixed the drain. They told me they would have someone come out and fix the ceiling. No one did, and after phoning them 3 times, they deny that they caused the issue. If you have insurance and are licensed, for gosh sakes, at least stand behind your work. read more

0 stars really. Beware that this company has two Yelp listings, one with an Oak Leaf address and this one with Red Oak address. Same company name and same phone number = same company. Apparently, nobody has informed Gary that it's 2017 rather than 1947. He and a helper show up to perform an Pre-Season A/C Tune Up set up through Landmark Home Warranty who chose this contractor. Gary tells my husband that some things need to be replaced because "they will go out" before or during summer. (They are not damaged or broken yet...) Husband oks him to go ahead. He eventually comes back inside saying work is complete. My husband and I told Gary that we had paid the required $100 Service Call Fee upfront online through Landmark Home Warranty when we booked the appointment. He kept asking, "What's your Co-Pay? I need to know your Co-Pay..." I let his first, "You just don't understand..." pass unanswered. The second time he said, "You just don't understand..." and followed up by looking at my husband and saying, "He knows what I'm talking about..." I could not contain my reaction. I told him that "I am not an idiot and I will not sit here and let you speak to me like I am." Told him to tell me how much we owed him so that we could pay him to go away. He said we didn't have to pay anything and walks out. Then he goes out to his truck to call Landmark which he was supposed to do before he did any work over and above the Tune-Up. First, this is a home warranty claim, not a healthcare claim, so it isn't a "Co-Pay" it is a "Service Call Fee". Second, the contractor is supposed to get approval from the Home Warranty Company for approval before they do the work. One of us didn't understand --- but that one of us wasn't me! Sunrise was sent out to my home per my home warranty and based on their yelp reviews, I was a little worried. To my surprise, from scheduling to completion, everything was great. Friendly customer service and the technician, Cedric, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the cause of the issue and how to fix it. He even showed me exactly what he had to do to get it working again. Even though he had to come back the next day with a new part, I was very pleased with my experience with Sunrise and would be happy to have Cedric back to service our A/C unit any time. read more

I called their office many times and was repeatedly told he would be there. Then they told me they added other people ahead of me due to their locationbeing closer than my house. Wish I could leave no stars.... Stay away from these guys My air conditioner broke on 5/14/2018 and Sunrise Home Services came out on 5/16/2018. The repairman indicated the issue was my fan and repaired it (but put another one on order to replace it). As the night went on I started to hear metal grinding and after looking at the air conditioner I realized it was the fan and contact American Home Shield to resend the repairman. The following afternoon the air conditioner was not functioning at all. The same repairman returned on 5/18 and installed the new fan...leave wires outside of the unit. The unit never cooled. I contacted AHS and the company (which did not seemed concerned at all about the service) and told them do not close the ticket because I do not have air. I was given the run around until it was too late to come out on 5/18 and was told someone would be there on 5/21....which I had to call to get someone out there (my appointment was not set up correctly). When the new repairman came he told me that my compressor was not broken because the fan was not hooked to it correctly (only one of the three connections was set and it was put on loosely). I did not get any assistance from the company and ended up going to a hotel for four days until American Home Shield allow me to get another contractor. read more

After being no calls no shows twice, they finally came without notice, called themselves fixing the ice maker on yesterday. Today my tenant contacted me and said the ice maker is not working still and Sears is now once again on the case. Sears is giving them one more time to resolve this situation before my request is honored to have someone else to come out to fix the ice maker. These people are horrible and they know it. Word to the wise don't pay with a check always use a credit card, its the only way to recoup your money from these losers according to Wellsfargo. read more

Sunrise Home Services - Worse company ever 2 no calls no shows and when they did show up my refrigerator still not working. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Red Oak, Texas

Would make it a 0 Star if that was possible. We had sunrise out to service our home ac unit in July as they were contracted by our home warranty. Not sure how well the work was done as within 4 weeks the unit was down again (same issue). Once again Sunrise came out and said it was not repairable and I needed a whole system. The outside was covered under warranty through manufacturer and home warranty but they would not cover inside unit, and said it wasn't compatible and would cost me a little under $3,000. They never once looked in my attic to check the inside of it was compatible, just assumed it and assumed I'd pay the money because my house was over 90 degrees. Needless to say, I called someone else who came out and he re-connected the wires that sunrise unhooked and now the unit runs PERFECTLY. Furthermore, he checked my inside unit and it IS compatible with a new outside unit. So my advise is to stay away at all costs. They are not truthful, and will take you for a ride if you let them. I filed a complaint with the Dallas chapter of the BBB, and Sunrise never responded to them or myself. That also shows their attitude towards customers. Do NOT use them for anything. read more

Scheduled a "Pre-Season" Tune up on our AC through my Home Warranty Company (Landmark Home Warranty- Who is also a Terrible Company) When you hear the word "Pre-Season" Tune up you would think hey they are going to come out and check my AC Unit and make sure it is going to last us through the SEASON ahead?! Well they sent one of their contracted techs out where he blinked his eyes three times added a touch of FREON and said all clear. Suggested we buy this pricy chemical to clean our AC Coils (Which we did and clean Coils when needed) Then Proceed to tell us that after this tune up anything that happened to our AC Within the next year is covered...$60 Service Fee. Here we are three months Later in JULY in Texas where its 90+ Outside and out AC Breaks Down Completely. Called Sunrise Home Services and talked to a very RUDE lady who clearly had zero customer service skills. I explained to her the entire situation and the fact that we have a two year old who was very Hot and Grumpy throughout the night and that it needed to be fixed immediately. She Proceeded to tell me they will not cover anything and that one of their techs would never tell someone they would cover anything (calling me a liar). I asked to speak with a manager and she told me she was the manager. I asked her for the work order or invoice that her tech sent to the insurance company so I could call them myself. And she proceed to MOCK me saying "I thought you said you knew what he did?!" "He gave you a copy of it" "I thought you said he told you the work he did?!" If you have the option do not use this company. Sunrise was contracted through my home warranty service. The work order was put in for my AC which started making loud noises. Sunrise was supposed to call that day 06.01 but never did. Overnight it turned from noise to not working. Eventually they called on 06.04 and were set to be out on 06.05. We were told it was our run cap and he replaced it. He turned the AC back on and left. He never checked that it is what the problem was. After letting it run a while we determined that it wasn't cooling so went to look at it; the motor was going but the fan was not turning. We tried calling them back and were unable to get anyone. Our home warranty recalled the workorder to have them come back. On 06.07 they finally show back up (an hour after the window) and he says it's the motor but he doesn't have any of the parts. He says he will come back the next day. 06.08 he comes back and takes the whole unit a part then comes in to say he can't finish because he doesn't have some screw but he will be back tomorrow. He never showed and our AC is still in pieces with wires exposed. We call back on 06.11 and takes several attempts to talk to anyone. They were scheduled to come finish the job 06.12 from 1-5. We waited till 5:30 to call because we got snapped at last time we called to check when they were coming. After a 20 minute wait and 15 calls later, our home warranty company finally got a hold of someone. We were never put on the schedule today. So our home warranty has escalated us and will be trying to correct this in the morning. We have a second unit so we've survived, but the unit that is out services our bedrooms and we have a baby in one of those. Apparently it's not a big deal to them to leave the a customer without AC for 11 days. I'd also like to mention that the person who answers their phone is really sassy and treats you terribly. This company came out due to a Home Warranty services. The AC tech was very nice and he said that this would be completed and be quick since the compressor was out. We had not hear anything in several days so we called our Home Warranty company and they never received anything from Sunrise. We called on a Sat. and they are closed. Left a message and they never called us back. Called Monday mid day and waited on hold several time. Then was told it was submitted. Asked why it was not done the day the work was done and was told not sure but done now. Asked for the supervisor, she said it is filed now and it would not have mattered the warranty company would not do anything until now anyways. Then said other people have no ac at all and they come first. Sorry I have 3 ACs and 1 is not cooling at all and my house is still 85 inside. So it should not matter. It should be just as important. It also was just paper work that should have been submitted. It has been 7 days in over 100 heat. It is miserable. read more

My home warranty service used them. They put a bandaid on my unit last week. The bandaid failed within two days. They had to come back out today and now are saying the AC unit does not have 240V going to it and will need to have an electrician come out to take a look. 240V or 220V? Eh... either or I guess... Who cares though right? My tenants were without AC for over 3 weeks last month and now over 2 weeks here in August. In Texas. My advice to anyone thinking of using them is RUN. Turn away. read more

Completely tried to scam me and the homeowner insurance and I still have yet to hear back! I scheduled a routine tuneup! This tech showed up and first argued what the problem was. I explained it was just a tuneup and it even stated that on my service call. He was suppose to do a number of things- he came in turned the thermostats all the way down and replaced an air filter- that was it! Went outside for two minutes and came back with I am low on coolant. I stated that was covered and he said he had to verify. Went to his truck shit the door and got on the phone. He came back with well your 5 lbs low and I can't fill it without a leak check and an acid wash by law! It was an additional cost of $500. I was not happy and told him I would need a second opinion. My warranty service argued but agreed to send out a second company. Ac rescue came out and said we are not low at all and actually perfect- ac did not need an acid was and because we were not low we did not need a leak detection! WORST SERVICE EVER!!! After 8 days of dealing with delays and incompetence, my unit was finally repaired by another company. My home warranty company set me up with this company to repair my AC unit. My first frustration occurred when they scheduled my appointment for the next Monday. Which meant I would have to go Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday without AC. Monday I was given a 4 hour window. 20 minutes after my 4 hour window came and went, it began to rain. Then Sunrise called to cancel stated it was because it was raining in my area. Appointment was rescheduled for next day, Tuesday. My adult son met the repair man. Repair man stated the unit needed to be cleaned and the capacitor needed to be replaced. Repair man never checked in the unit in the attic. After he performed the work he left and so did my son. I arrived home to discover it was still hot. AC was not fixed. I phoned my warranty company who created another ticket. I then called Sunrise but had to leave a message. Wednesday I contacted Sunrise and they said they could send someone back out on Thursday because Wednesday was already booked. I reminded them of the repeated delays and unfinished work to see if they could come out the same day but was told no. Thursday the guy arrived and now said I needed a new motor. He left all of the unit pieces and cover disassembled on the ground and stated he would return tomorrow. It was 11 am. Plenty of time to get the part and finish job. I contacted Sunrise and they said they would have to get the work order before scheduling the appointment. After speaking with supervisor the phone tech said they will set appointment, tentatively, for Friday 9 am -1 pm. Friday after 2 pm they phoned to say the part had to be ordered and that it would be in on Monday or Tuesday. At this point I phoned my warranty company again and they let me choose an out of contract AC repair man. This repair man stated he could come same day between 6 pm -7 pm. He came at 7 pm stated I needed a motor. Stated he would come next day around noon with the part. He was true to his word. AC was finally fixed! One Guard home warranty sent Sunrise for AC repair, but I could not know if they fixed it or not as tenant said Sunrise recommend 2 AC unit for this rental home, of course, we knew 2 is better than 1 but this is how the house was built. My AC is blowing HOT air on May 3rd, so I call my Home Warranty Company (OneGuard) to schedule a repair. So they tell me they're sending Sunrise Home Services and charge me their service fee. Why didn't I google this company before it took them until May 12th to come to my house?? Believe these ratings people, they are not lying!! The guy comes out and checks my unit to find if there's a leak, and I guess he guessed the leak was coming from the schrader valves so he changed then and charged my unit back up. He then tells me give it 30 mins to see if the house starts to cool off and LEAVES. Tells me if something goes wrong to give them a call. 60 mins later my unit is once again blowing HOT air. I call and get some voice messaging system. So for the rest of the weekend my wife and I are sweating in our home because we cannot get anyone to pick up the phone. So fast forward to Monday 5/14/18 I call 5 TIMES and still no answer. I give up and call my warranty company back and they issue a "Call Back" with this god awful company. I hope they send someone who knows WTH they are doing because I'm starting to get very upset. So wish me luck because I know I'll need it. Anyone reading this review please take this as an authentic review as I am the last person to post a review. For me to post one means I had the worst service with the company. I wish i could give Zero stars for this company. Terrible customer service and show no sense of urgency for customer without AC since May 25th. I had no option since i am going through home warranty but please STAY AWAY from this company if you can. Their phone system was not working for you to even talk to anyone for a long time and when you finally get a hold of someone, you are put on hold for over 15 minutes and hanged up on. I had to call them every single day for 2 weeks in a roll and get run around till today i interacted with obviously rude rep that mentioned i am scheduled for tomorrow between 9am -5pm. Thank you for me calling to get this information. Obviously i should be home for 8 hours during normal working hours waiting for a tech whom i have no idea what time he or she will show up. Last time the tech was an hour late from the scheduled time and kept lying he was almost there. I dont know how a business like this is still thriving. This company is horrible and a complete scan. They can only get work form warranty companies because actual home owners are smart enough to know that this company is absolutely horrific. They overcharged my landlord and replaced a core valve that didn't even have a leak!!!! They got sent out through a home warranty company. When the tech arrived he said it was low on Freon. I saw the gauge and it was reading around 3lbs of Freon. I went inside for about 10 minutes and then he added in 6lbs of Freon, which my system can only take 7lbs. He left saying everything is working fine and it will start cooling. 20 minutes after he left the temperature went from 78 degrees to 81 degrees. I called back and the tech said I needed to wait a few hours for it to cool. That didn't sound right at all. I checked the AC and the compressor wasn't even on. I called back then the tech proceeded to tell me that my TXV valve was bad or possibly my dyer filter and that one or possibly both needed to be replaced. But he couldn't replace it because they had to order the part. That is fine but he never told me that when he left. I call to speak to the manager immediately because of the lack of communication. She was very rude and not helpful at all. Finally, she promised that she would have two techs back out the next day with both parts, TXV valve and dryer filter. The next morning the techs arrive and they had no idea what was wrong with our unit, let alone have the parts needed to fix it. I immediately called the manager again and she explained that the TXV valve I needed was a special order and they couldn't get the part. I told her how unacceptable the situation was. A simple phone call would have been just fine. Why would they send two more technicians back out to not resolve any issue except make me even more mad and charge for another service call. But don't worry they are doing everything they can to order the part today but it won't be until tomorrow that someone can come back out and fix the issue. This company is a complete scam and I don't even know how they are still in business. Through all my troubles I spoke to Tasha who was the receptionist. She was very sweet, kind, helpful and caring.
