I love the food, and the service. We usually go on Sundays, but the pizza itself is great for takeout/delivery. The music they play is nice, and the areas you're seated in are all decorated with either things from bands, sports or events in history (like newspapers that reference the end of WWII). This restaurant is the best thing that came out of my last relationship. The pizza here is phenomenal. I can't say the same for the other food items here however, the pizza is fantastic -- dare I say the best in Northeast Ohio. The only reason why I'm not giving this place a 5/5 stars is because in the past, I've dined here and the service was really slow. Also I ordered a salad once and it was really gross. Half the salad was dressing. It was not appetizing or appealing to look at. Luckily, I don't see it offered on the online menu anymore. The pizza is wonderful. The Parmesan cheese adds a pleasant bite to the pizza. The crust is thick and buttery. The sauce is very pleasant and blends very well with the peppers that top the pizza. I'm a fan of garlic sauce with my pizza. Sunrise offers the best garlic butter which adds a buttery, sweetness to the pizza. I have been a devoted customer of sunrise for 60 years. Last night my husband and I went there. I had chicken parmigiano.The sauce was dark and tasted burned or old.It also had 3 bay leaves in it. Bay leaves should never be left in ANY food after cooking as they can cause choking. The bread was so hard we could not even eat it. We talked to the owner/manager and were dismissed as if they were above reproach. Pull up your socks , Sunrise - there a lot better places to eat. You cannot just be okay to keep customers. Upon entering the front or the back door you're thinking you're about to walk into an old dive bar but then your smacked in the face with the awesome smell of fresh garlic, fresh made sauce freshly made cheeses and so on. I have family that lives about a half hour away in my hometown of Hubbard. I've came to sunrise inn prob at least 8 or 9 times within the last year after first discovering it. (I live all the way down towards Pittsburgh pa). Literally every single time I go to sunrise inn, I have YET to have a bad meal there! The food is absolutely TO DIE FOR and in my personal opinion? I think sunrise inn has the best food in all of Trumbull county and even mahoning county. There were two bike pieces of chicken and loads of spaghetti. Stuffed myself and still had half left over to take away. Bread was ample and fresh. I've been eating here probably since I could eat solid food so about 55 years. The pizza is always good and has always been the same delicious pizza you can rely on. When I lived in Texas and could only visit once or twice a year, I would always get the the same thing when I visited because it was my favorite. Now I live here and am not bound to that. That being said, if you only get to go once, get the pizza burger splash. I always get the meatball in the middle. Try not to fill up on the delicious Italian bread they serve while you wait. Good luck with that! Now that I live here I haven't had a splash in awhile. Now I get one of their salads a lot. The Cranberry Chicken Salad. I still get a couple pieces of pizza a la carte to take home. They offer about 5 different kinds of pizza available all day and night at the bar. I've popped in to grab a couple cold slices to heat up at home. In and out in 5 minutes. 2 minutes in the air fryer and it's good to go. They also have a great cheeseburger and fries for only $4.95 every day. Just your basic burger. It's not on the special hamburger menu. The desserts are delicious. I've only had the basic fruit covered cheesecake and cannoli and both were delicious. A piece of cheesecake is about $5.50 but it's worth it and I can snack for 3 days. When I looked at the menu I see that Sunrise has a cauliflower crust option. I was hesitant due to past experiences with these. But I ordered one to try. It was AMAZING.
