A friend and I had the opportunity to visit Sunriver Brewing before the world fell into what feels like a alternate reality... We were seated promptly and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries and my friend had the general tsao cauliflower. The ambiance here was hip and vibrant. However, with too many people it may get a little crowded and a little too close to other diners. My pork sandwich was really good. I enjoyed the jalapeno slaw and the nice heat from the horseradish sauce. The fries were also very good, crispy and seasoned just right. I had a try of my friend's cauliflower and it was also good. If it was a blind taste test I would feel like it was made from meat, so a very successful dish in my opinion. Overall the experience was good, bit higher on the price, but if you are looking to splurge and have a good meal... Definitely check them out. read more

This is a cool spot! It's clean, open but not echoey, has a play area for kids, TVs for good sports watchin, and outside seating as well as an upstairs. While my overall review is 4 stars the service was definitely deserving of 5. No complaints service wise. My husband is an IPA lover while I prefer a good dark beer. He enjoyed the Emotional Support Peacock and I found my Lava Lands Stout to be quite tasty. We also grabbed a 4 pack of Mexican Mochas for the road. They were pricey but a special release so we splurged. Speaking of pricey, I found our evening, while enjoyable, a bit on the spendier side. My husband said his pub burger was delicious but he's had burgers comparable to it for several dollars less elsewhere. I opted for the falafel burger. It was good but not great. It needed something to spice it up like a couple of banana peppers or even a splash of hot sauce. With the big bun, patty, and mellow tatziki sauce it was a little too bland. The fries were crisp and seasoned well. The portions were absolutely filling but I can't justify spending this amount on food again soon. Perhaps the rent is high at Oakway and it gets passed in to the customers with a hike in price. I'm not sure. So, to sum it up... Great beer and beer selection. Excellent service. Clean. Would make a great spot to grab a beer with some friends after work. But a bit overpriced compared to other local eateries with comparable offerings. read more

Went here yesterday (July 8, 2020) and loved our food! The outdoor seating was pleasant, the servers were nice, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Our server told us there was a full bar, so two of us ordered cocktails, and one ordered a cider on tap. The cider was absolutely horrible! It was flat and apparently the flavor was lemon coconut. YUCK! Our cocktails were extremely strong. I'm not one to complain about too much alcohol, but it tasted like only alcohol and no mixers. About burnt my Mother-in-Law's nose hairs off. read more

Third visit to Sunriver Brewing, first review. Each visit has been for dinner between 5-6pm and seated outside. Service has consistently been very good. Quick to be seated and wait staff welcomed us just afterwards. Southwest salad, baked Mac and cheese, and sunriver pulled pork tacos for entrees. All excellent. IPAs are awesome. Killer location in Oakway with upstairs loft seating, outdoor tables, and TVs to watch a game. Good beers (to be fair, this is based on my husbands review since I am not a beer drinker). They have some wine and cider options, but also a full bar and they do make a pretty decent cocktail! The food has been a bit inconsistent in quality, but I think a lot of this has been due to visiting during the early stages of start up. The appetizers were my favorite- the teriyaki cauliflower and pretzel with beer cheese were fantastic! My group enjoyed their burgers, and they also have an impossible burger option for the non meat eaters. Sitting in oakway center taking over the spot of hot mama's wings on the backside of the new parking garage. Menu is simple, well put together. Falafel burger was mediocre, could use more tzatziki and the patty itself felt thin. Burger was pretty good, like the buns they use here. Fries have great texture and the flavor is pretty good dipped in Portland's ketchup. Brussel sprouts with ham/parmesan. Great cook on them and excellent flavor. Ham was a nice cut and good cook. There was bit much oil on the bottom of the bowl. Fuzztail here was an easy drinker. Service was great, parking isn't too bad. Definitely reccomend to try it out. read more

I have eaten here several times, sat at the bar, and really liked it pre and during Covid issues. The staff was always nice and the beer and food good. But my recent visit last night my best friend and I stood at the hostess stand for almost 15 minutes- there were two bartenders behind the bar, two wait staff that were walking around and then talking and stacking their pay receipts, and no one ever came and helped us or acknowledged us. They looked our way but avoided eye contact. Finally when a staff member came out with a to go bag we thought that we would finally maybe be seated or at least existed... and she walked right past us avoiding eye contact to bring a to go order out the door past us. I have never felt more invisible- the customers leaving and sitting even looked confused and uncomfortable! I'm so disappointed. read more

This place is nice, great ambiance! I ordered the lemon grass cider and it was surprisingly delicious! As long as it's on the menu I'll be ordering it. I ordered the Mac and sprouts and both were full of flavor. I'd order both again. The French fries are yummy and the dipping sauces and a nice layer of flavor. The pretzel was great and it had a nice amount of salt. The beer cheese was super bland the day we went. I had heard rave reviews about. I'm willing to try it again maybe on the nachos next trip. The portion sizes are completely insane! Each item can be split between two people and the pretzel at least five. I'll be going here again. Try it! read more

Service was slow in the beginning to get to us, but became much better as our meal progressed. I've been here before, but brought the family back tonight. Our food was meh. Ordinary fish and chips, ordinary chicken strips, and strange mac n cheese. My salad dressing was bitter on the back of my throat. Their taps have a good selection of beers. It would be a great place to hang out and drink, which I did the first time, and it was a better experience. The one bright spot was their chicken lettuce wraps. The chicken and flavor was good, but they need to use a better type of lettuce than iceberg. read more

Service is a hit or miss. We were sat by the hostess, but never greeted. After about fifteen minutes we finally were able to get our server's attention after she made her third stop at the table next to us (which was seated after us). She seemed annoyed that we flagged her down to get our order in, but it was definitely a little awkward to sit there without any idea as to whether or not she was going to make it over to us. I've worked in restaurants for a while and I get that sometimes people end up in your section without a proper heads up, but giving them a dirty look and acting confused as to why they're there isn't really the way to handle it. It was pretty freaking uncomfortable. The host and bartenders, on the other hand, were all super nice and attentive. Regardless of the patchy service, we love Sunriver. The food has always been really good and the beer is amazing. Just a heads up, don't plan on ordering the nachos and having room for ANYTHING else. I've been here a few times , service is usually good . It does get super busy in the evenings and the environment is loud but that's no biggie for me. I enjoy their pretzel , and there burgers are good also but definitely not a fan of there nachos or their Mac and cheese . This is getting a middle of the road review because consistency is all over the place. It's always disheartening to see a place devote half of its tap list to IPAs in the winter, and then virtually all of it in the summer with nothing available for those of us who don't like hoppy and sour beers. Having Cocoa cow on top doesn't help because it's too syrupy, sweet and tastes of artificial chocolate. Was in yesterday and there were empty tables, but for some reason there was a 20 minute wait. Service was basically abysmal and they normally juicy burgers and super crispy. Fish were both dry and lackluster. We finished our meal and couldn't get anybody's attention for nearly 20 minutes to pay our bill. Maybe will try them again in winter. read more

We have enjoyed Sunriver Brewing both for delivery/pickup and now at the outside patio seating. Portions are huge and menu is smallish but consistently tasty. General Tso's Cauliflower is a kid-pleaser and best in person where the cauliflower stays crisp. The Mac and Cheese is a grown up dish with a thick Alfredo sauce under some crusty cheese. The meat eater among us enjoyed the waygu sliders and the Cuban sandwich on various occasions, and the brewer's salad is a delight, too. If you're dining in, get fries! They are crispy and delicious. A few dishes are hit or miss: sometimes the cauliflower sauce is super sweet; the kid's fish and chips (and grown up version) is thickly breaded and can be a little underdone and oversalted. Otherwise, solid food (best for dine-in or close-by carry out). Why 4/5? The beer is... fine. read more

Great food and excellent service. Special shout out to our server Geoff. We ordered 2 entrees and the fried cauliflower. We got the cauliflower with sauce on the side as we didn't want it saturated. Our server recommended some additional sauces (bbq , buffalo , ranch and blue cheese) for a small upcharge, which made the appetizer way better. Bar food bursting with flavor! I spent three days in Eugene, and I came here twice. If you enjoy bar food with a jolt of extra umami, and more complex flavor profiles, try this place. The wagyu sliders are awesome. I got them both days. Also really enjoyed the Thai Beef and the Goin Beef Enchiladas (which come with a fried egg on top). The beer was really good as well. Another great option for fantastic beer and pub food in our fair city of Eugene. Competition is significant when it comes to restaurants of this type, and somehow Sunriver manages to stand out a bit from the crowd. Having access to more of their barrel aged and specialty beers is a big plus. The food has been excellent, the sliders are becoming legendary. I only wish they kept the dirty fries on the menu year round. read more

Visited 3/17/23 starting off asked about beers offered and what's recommended, the bartender was dry... didn't offer too much help. My first visit to an Oregon brewery and I'm very disappointed. I feel if you're a person of color your service is lack luster, also if you're from another state it's an issue. As someone who had worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years this they do not offer a welcoming environment and it was very disappointing. Zero out of five stars. read more

Absolutely horrid service. Asked to get seated and the person went and waited on tables inside. Had to ask 3 other people to finally get seated. Once seated they immediately took out order without giving time to see the menu. Then said last call was 9:00.l but made us order last drinks at 8;45. Then said they closed at 9 but we could stay til 10 however they would kick us out if we had any drinks at 10:01. Absolutely amazing experience today! We were greeted immediately by a super sweet hostess and sat down INSIDE!! So happy to see indoor dining here. Our orders were taken quickly and the food was awesome. The Wagyu sliders were unbelievable and fries were off the charts. We tried to go to another brewery right before landing here where they were rude and unhelpful, we bailed and headed to try sun river and immediately turned our day around. On the road from southern Ore. to northern Ore. - this is a great stop for a beer & a bite. Lots of delicious ipa choices with very knowledgeable waitstaff. Many choices for my vegan appetite. Had the rice bowl and it made a yummy dinner and lunch the next day. My partner had the Mac and cheese and enjoyed it. One star off due to the higher prices for the food. They try really hard here so I have to give them three stars for that. But........I was way more impressed when they first opened. I loved the old Brussels sprouts with pork belly or bacon or whatever it was. The new ones with the Asian sweet sauce just don't taste right. Leave that for the cauliflower bites and bring back the old ones please. I branched out and had the chicken and latkes tonight. The chicken was awesome, spicy sauce on point and loved the finer in the coleslaw. But......the larked were terrible! Way overcooked, too thin, and almost tasted like they fried them a day ago and received them tonight. And trust me I know latkes after working in a Jewish deli/restaurant run by New Yorker's for years. And it's just so freaking loud in the restaurant. Always good. One of my favorite spots to take my daughter out to lunch when I'm in Eugene. Great beers! I had fish tacos and she got the mac n cheese. Food was great and portions huge.
