The Brewhouse salad was fresh with just the right amount of dressing. The fish and chips was what to be expected. The southwest bowl was a huge portion. All dishes were plentiful and satisfying. We we so happy to see that one of our favorite Oregon breweries opened up a location in Eugene. We have really enjoyed going to the one in Bend previously and were excited to have one just down the road from us. Always an interesting rotating tap of beers. I love their cocoa cow and they often have fun variations like raspberry or s'mores to go with this chocolatey stout. On our last visit had a pretty good easy drinking cream ale if you are looking for something a little lighter. The food is pretty decent too, we like their fried cauliflower app a lot and have shared a few other tasty sliders there as well. We recently ordered the sambal shrimp app, which was decently tasty but did only include about 10 very tiny shrimp, not a great deal. Their outdoor seating is nice and they have a few fire pits that you can sit around on a cold evening. Service has been friendly but can be a bit hit or miss or attentiveness depending on how busy they are, it's a popular place! read more

Just wanted to put in a good word to one of our favorite family spots in Eugene! This restaurant has always served us so well, from when we were young and just beer drinking to now with our littles in tow. The food here is fantastic!!! The kobe beef sliders might be the best sliders I've ever had. And you HAVE to order the dirty lil fries. Silly name but they are delicious! The sauce that they drizzle on top really elevates the flavors! If you order a salad I recommend trying their blue cheese vinaigrette. I was skeptical but it was very good! The servers were also attentive and very friendly. Our waiter was very busy but we had multiple servers check on us throughout our time there. Loved the food!!!! The fried cauliflower is a must!! It's so delicious and savory. The buffalo wings and pretzel with dip were amazing!!! For our entrees I got the wagyu sliders with fries (I'm picky with fresh fries and these were so amazing, low key ate them cold the next day). We also got a burger with the mac and cheese. Everything was incredible! We are passing through on a road trip, I will remember Oregon for this meal! Also really enjoyed Fuzztail Hefeweizen and the Big Willie Belgian Strong Pale Ale. The sliders are staples of the menu, the soup was the soup of the day and the stout was a special for the day we were in there. We have been back a couple of times since this review and the stout was no longer available. The second time around, had a delicious cider like beer that was very delicious. Something else you will find is that they typically only have two deserts on their menu. Now this could be a really bold move only having two choices, one being a chocolate cake, almost in the flourless version with real whipped cream. The other is a berry crumble with a large scoop of ice cream. I say it's bold because with only two choices, you had better do them very well. This is something that you will find they do. The deserts are phenomenal. So much so, I would say skip the fabulous appetizers and get the desert, you will not be disappointed! read more

I really like the interior of this space, we've been here a few times, both as its previous business (hot mama's) and as Sunriver Brewing. The upstairs area is really cool and is something we'd like to look into for a larger group gathering. Anyway, we came here because we were given a gift card and wanted a bit of a date night. It was the Friday before New Years and was busy but not slammed around 5:30. The tables on the main level in my opinion are a bit close together, maybe I've gotten used to the 6' COVID buffer but I could easily have reached out and touched our neighboring diners. My husband really enjoys their beer and was looking forward to trying a couple over dinner. We both ordered an entree and a drink. My soda came out very quickly but his beer took quite a bit longer. The food was good, I had the turkey dip and he had the sliders. There wasn't much to say about it, both were yummy enough that we ate all of them. Although, I guess you could say that the dip would be better perhaps as a half size of what it was, in the last half of it I was sort of over the gravy-like flavor. Anyway, after our food was delivered, we really didn't see much of our server. While she was perfectly nice when we did interact, after her multiple check-ins prior to ordering, she didn't really check in with us after that. I am going to put this down to her and possibly only one other person staffing the first floor tables. We get that most/all establishments are feeling the crunch of staffing issues. But also given how jam-packed the tables seemed to be, maybe they should consider eliminating a couple tables for space and comfort, as well as a more manageable server experience. All that to say that my husband was very disappointed that he wasn't able to order a second beer before he finished his food. Had he known the issue, he would have ordered another as soon as we received the food. Decent place, hoping they can find a better balance. read more

I found Sunriver Brewing to be a really great place for lunch. First, the beer, I happen to be an IPA nut and they certainly had plenty to choose from, I finally went with the "Emotional Support" IPA, which is probably what I needed right about then anyway and found it to be totally delicious. For food I went with the "Pub burger & fries" which I thought were out of this world wonderful, right up there with the best of them in the town of Eugene for sure, and even the fries were crispy and cooked just right. The waitress was just as sweet as she could possibly be and very helpful. She was also right there on the spot when I finished my beer asking me if I wanted another. The place was very clean with an inviting atmosphere, the music was the New Age stuff which I dont really care for but thats just me, I'm old, ya know... and the gender neutral bathroom was sparkly clean. Finally made it in! Super glad we did. Staff was really great, food out quickly on a fairly busy afternoon. Definitely will be back again. Ordered Street tacos and Sliders. The taco filling- flavors were really great. The corn taco shell unfortunately had no flavor and was only slightly warmed which 2 of the tacos broke down, not holding ingredients. Had to eat with a fork. Sliders were good, fries excellent- we will most likely try other items next time though. We do appreciate the quality of ingredients they use, very fresh! read more

The service was good. The food was over priced and not great. Stale croutons with the ceasar salad,dressing tasted like cheap Mayo, Parm flakes have no flavor. Mac n cheese...bland, was there any cheese in this sauce? Kobe sliders, that bun was Comercial brioch, at best. These did not even beat the Kroger brand beef I get a Fred Meyers. Bacon jam? Should hit with the bacon. I wouldn't have known there was bacon if someone handed me this "slider". DQ chicken strips are better. read more

One big minus, though: they are ALWAYS out of at least one beer, usually two. Many times I have come to try a beer I saw on their online taplist only to be disappointed. You would think a brewery taphouse would have either more than one keg of a beer or someone able to change out an empty keg. We have consistently stopped at this restaurant probably a dozen times as we travel back and from Washington to California to visit family. We have always enjoyed their menu and drink options and the location is right around the corner from the hotel we stay at. Tonight we walked in and were told by the hostess to sit anywhere. There were plenty of open tables so we took a seat and waited for our server. Waited about 15 minutes...saw our server sort of hanging out with patrons at a few tables, pretty much ignoring us. I made eye contact and she looked away and then proceeded to go over to a table of people who had literally just walked in and started talking to them....guess this is a locals place?? Breweries are hard to review because everyone has different tastes and preferences. Having said that, I think Sunriver has very solid beers. If you like sweet and dark beers you should try their Cocoa Cow. It tastes like chocolate milk. Otherwise, they have always had a legit Hef and also have a good selection of IPA's. This used to be Hot Mama's second location, and personally I never thought their food tasted as good as the original location. Sunriver has certainly upped the quality of the food and menu. The space is also nice and offers some outdoor space as well as a large gas fire pit. For those with difficulty hearing, there are high ceilings and it can get loud in there. Lastly, they have a cool upstairs space/bar that is great for private parties. read more

As far as food goes, the fried avocados and fried cauliflower were good but the nachos weren't very good at all. This place rocks! Killer service, fresh local food and awesome beer. The chef keeps a rotating seasonal menu and sources his ingredients locally. I was very impressed with the whole operation. I ordered the wagyu sliders (which my wife ate half of) and they were divine. Their burgers are off the hook with that jalapeño cheddar bun from Bread Stop Bakery. Setting - sitting outside on the patio on an 85 degree day, 5 stars. Food? Two stars. My husband and I each had the Southwest Bowl. It was not good. The bags of pre-made southwest salad that you can get at your local Safeway tastes eons better than this. Our daughter had fish and chips which she liked. My son had the Waygu sliders and commented that they were "fine." My other son could not eat the buffalo chicken sando, said it was "not good." This was a real disappointment. Yuck. Apparently, they are serving a limited menu because we can't overheat cooks in the kitchen anymore. It wasn't even 100 degrees today. I can't understand how soft our entire human race is becoming, but that's beside the point. The place was pretty dead for Saturday at noon. I pretty much had my pick of the inside dining area. The place could've been cleaner. My table was sticky. However, the waitstaff was very friendly. I ordered a southwest salad. It was pretty much a disappointment. The lettuce was raggedy, and the pickled onions don't belong on it. Even with a full menu, I wouldn't return. I do not recommend the food. That being said, their cocoa cow is something I go out of my way to get. I recommend that 100 percent. read more

We've enjoyed Sunriver Brewing in both Eugene and Sunriver. The food is consistently good. The fries were especially great! The other guests enjoyed the locally brewed beer and whiskey while dining out at Sunriver. Given the circumstances with Covid restrictions for restaurants, we are aware of this as we write this review. After going to several outdoor seating restaurants, we wonder if the under the table heaters would be beneficial? We appreciate Sunriver has heaters and a fireplace outdoors. It's funky to be eating outside in Oregon in January, however, we want local restaurants to stay in business and we are impressed with all the creative ways restaurants have transformed their business models to remain open and serve hot, good food in our local communities. Enjoy your dining at Sunriver Brewing Oakway, just bundle up if you are going at night. Totally worth it. read more

So after driving past this location on several different occasion my boyfriend and I decided that on our next date night we'd stop by for dinner. That night I decided to try out their Mac and cheese and one of their ciders, while my boyfriend ordered the fish and chips. Their Mac and Cheese was cheesy and delicious, but I do wish it had just a tad more bread crumbs (personal preference) as for their cider I didn't think much about it. My boyfriend on the other hand didn't have much to complain about since he devoured the whole plate and didn't even leave me any fries. Overall we will be visiting again soon. read more
