I don't know about all these other reviews, but I was in the market to trade in my 2010 Jeep JKU for a new Infiniti. Sunset happened to have the only fx50 in the state and it was in incredible condition with 50k and one previous owner. I first talked to Brayden about it and he got me to come in and I instantly fell in love with it and had to have it. After some "heated" debate on how much my trade in was worth and how much the Infiniti was worth we finally came to an agreement after three days. Now, I don't have the best credit, but the finance team and Ben really worked hard for me to be able to stay close to what I felt comfortable with financially. Look, with any used car, you're taking a risk buying from a wholesale place. Be smart, do your homework, get a private mechanical inspection if you're unsure, get an extended warranty. If you do it right, you won't have any problems, and if you do, you'll be covered. Ben came in on a morning that his daughter had to go to the hospital. To me, that says a lot about his dedication to his customers. The place is definitely a lot more relaxed than a regular dealership. To some it comes off as unprofessional, but to me it made it seem a lot less pushy than the normal vultures at a big brand name dealership. read more

Bought a car within the first week of owning it blew up into a huge mess they left me with nothing but issues to fix myself I offered them to take it back if I fixed some of the issues caused by the dealerships ownership. But they decided to ignore my request and keep me in this stage of despair, and complete confusion of how to fix this car. Total amount of money to completely fix the car is 13k plus the 13k I owe they sell unreliable cars they may look really nice but for some reason most of there cars are just flipped pieces of trash that they buy from junk yards or cheap auctions. They never solved my problems that I had with the car and they never will because they're useless salesmen that sell expensive broken luxury cars. Thanks guys for selling me a Audi that is to expensive to run in the condition it is in, because the salesman decided to not disclose all of the information about the car. read more

Blame the idiots at Sound Transit for that one. I'm not happy at all about the extra money. They need to do a better job estimating the licensing fees. Maybe overestimate more & give a little money back. The price I paid was supposed to be everything's paid for. Overall it was a good experience here. What started off as a good experience turned out to be not so much. After paying cash for a used car I finally received the appropriate paper work 3-4 weeks later. This was after numorous phone messages without a return call. By that time, 400 miles later, the engine froze up. Knowing full well that I purchased as is, I still attempted to contact Sunset to see if they would help me out to replace the motor. The paperwork they had sent me showed that they had payed $8700 at auction and I paid $14,500. I thought I would givge them the opprotunity to be offer to continue customer relations. There is really no such thing as return calls and when I did get in contact I was told they would get back to me. 2 months later they told me they could do nothing for me. BUYERS BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY!!! I bought a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer earlier this month and before test driving the low pressure signal light came on and the sales rep played it down. Saying I just needed to put air in the tire and the light will go away. When the problem continued after numerous texts the rep advised me to take the car to Les Schwab and continued to play down the problem. After 2 different inspections to solve the same problem, there was a crack in the rim which is a safety hazard because no matter how much air you put in the tire it will continue to leak air. Sunset Auto Wholesale and there rep will no longer reach out me, to help solve the issue and won't even do the right thing knowing that they sold me a used car that had a safety issue and this car should NOT have been for sale until the issue with the safety hazard was fixed. The salesman, Jordan, seemed like a nice guy. They wouldn't drop the price enough on the Tahoe I wanted, so I left. Three days later Braydon calls me all excited to tell me they dropped the price on the Tahoe I not only wanted to buy, but the same one I test drive overnight! I had originally offered 14k and they came down the 14,500. After I was 20 minutes into my drive to the dealership, Braydon calls to tell me they made a mistake and wanted 16,390! Bad business!! So first thing I see when I pull up is a couple kids out front smoking cigarettes and vaping, okay no big deal. Then one of them approaches me and I start to realize that he's a sales rep. I start noticing their whole sales crew are kids. I couldn't take that place serious with kids sagging their pants looking like they're skipping school to smoke cigarettes. Even their floor manager who calls himself Farbulous (if that's what he wants to call himself) just kept putting his foot in his mouth, and also wearing skinny jeans sagged down below his cheeks, couldn't answer a single technical question. I ended up buying a truck from a Ford store, and their prices were no different than this corner lot, but I feel I was treated with more respect just based off appearance and knowledge. I purchased a vehicle at their puyallup location several months ago and was promised sun visors because the vehicle I purchase lacked them. I was assured they would replace the visors and waited patiently for 3 weeks while they found the correct visors. The replacement visors were beat up, dirty, the wrong color, installed improperly so they didn't pivot, were not the ones for that vehicle, and did not include lights as the original visors had. I called 3 times, physically drove to the location twice and have received no communication. Excuses, rudeness and unacceptable customer service. These guys are slimy. Take your business somewhere that actually cares about the quality of service, and has an owner and management that cares about more than the money in their pocket. My vehicle broken down and instead of trying to help I had a salesman trying to sell me another sketchy vehicle from their lot. My questions were ducked and dodged for over a month. I had to check up on management like a child to get paperwork that I had been asking for so I could handle the situation on my own. Almost everything was handled with an excuse. I would not recommend this business to anyone. I spoke to the owner and he did not care about how unprofessional his employees treat customers. Bought a warranty and the didn't fill out right and lost the contract with the warranty place, they got another company to take us but still failed to finish the papers. I was just dished out the old bait and switch. Typical for the old used car dealer! I was told a specific price over the phone. I had an hour drive ahead of me to get there (lucky for me I used Uber). Once I arrived I took the truck on a test drive. When we started talking about paper work he said he needed to talk to his manager. He went and "talked" with him for a good 10 minutes. We had the vehicle inspected at the mechanic shop we discovered that the rear differential was making some not so good noises and would likely need serviced or replaced soon, I figured the deal was dead at that point but I was dead wrong! they had their own service shop perform a repair on the rear end as well a 3 inch lift and new aftermarket wheels and tires I could not be happier the vehicle is tip top. I apologize for the length of this review, but I have never been more frustrated in dealing with a car lot in my life. We stopped at Sunset Auto Wholesale thinking it was a friend's lot, with no intention of buying a car, but came across what we thought was a gem with low miles and pretty much exactly what we had considered purchasing. The salesman Matt was nice, the finance guy was nice, and they worked with us with our limited funds for a down payment. However, once purchased, we had to call the finance manager to remind him to process the first portion of our down payment, and was told that the authorizations were in the safe and he forgot about it. Really? That is money in your pocket and the consumer is the one calling to remind you to process it. Then, before going on vacation, the engine light came on and the right brake light went out. My husband contacted Matt who asked that we bring it in to the service department to have it looked at, and that we could just have the mechanic take the Jeep over to the car lot so we could pick it up that Sunday upon our return from vacation. The mechanic told us that he would call before 5 p.m. the following day to let us know what was wrong with the vehicle. But, no such call was received. We went on vacation, and still received no call (four days later). In fact, we called the mechanic upon our return, and they were closed. We then called Matt, who verified the Jeep was at the lot, but didn't know what was wrong with the Jeep or what the mechanic did. After Matt went out to confirm that the engine light was off, we picked it up. The brake light still was not fixed. My husband took the Jeep back down to the lot the next day, and they fixed the brake light, but reminded us that those types of things are not covered under the warranty we paid for, even though we only had the vehicle for approximately 2-3 weeks by this time. Our second portion of the down payment was scheduled to be processed at the end of February, however, it was not processed at that time, and still had not been processed as of March 17th, even after numerous calls for them to do so, and being put off numerous times. They tried to say we were responsible for coming in and making the payment, then we reminded them that we signed two authorizations for two separate payments on two separate days. In addition, we were told that the license plates would be in by late February, or early March and to give them a call at that time to confirm they had arrived. My husband called several times to follow up on that, and after no return phone calls, and again being put off time and time again. We were told on more than one occasion that the plates are kept in an office where only one person matches them up with the titles, and we would have to wait for that person to do so. Now, the temporary license was expired, and my husband had been driving on an expired temporary for over a week. We finally went down to the lot to get the plates and demand that they process the second portion of the down payment, and were told by the manager that they didn't know where the plates were, why they weren't already in and again told we needed to wait until that one person was in to go through the stack of plates in the office. And, they finally processed the second portion of the down. The office manager's resolution was to give us another temporary for 45 days and told us to check back in the following week. This has been so very frustrating and not the way a business should be run, especially if you want customers to return or refer others to your lot. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing and none of the folks there return phone calls, or follow up as promised, and just claim no knowledge of the situation, but offer no resolution either. The one thing they ask of you when you purchase is for referrals; well needless to say, I have advised all of the referrals I left them to not contact Sunset Auto Wholesale! read more
