Today was one of the rare occasions to meet kind and decent people. My window was not closing properly and setting off our alarm in the middle of the night. I called Sunset Glass the next morning and they arrived early of their appointed time. Then they immediately helped me diagnose the problem and fix it, and also fixed another window having the same issue. I also asked them to create some screens for me and give me an estimate for a replacement window. They did all of this within 20 min and didn't even charge me for the service call today. I would give them a 0 star if I can. Our store contracted them for our storefront doors and glass windows. Since it's been raining, it's been flooding INSIDE our store. I've been calling and leaving them multiple messages for two weeks now, and no one has called me back. I used an 818 landline number yesterday, lo and behold, someone answered. The guy I spoke to didn't want to admit that they did a poor job and was blaming the outside floors. When I had tried to explain to him that I need them to come out and reinspect the job, he hung-up on me! I tried calling back, and of course, no answer! How rude! I'm thinking of reporting their contractor's license if I don't get this resolved. I hope you are reading this because it has been a nightmare trying to get through to you guys! read more

Wow, not a good experience. Really a disappointment.  Not sure why it was so different than the good things described in other reviews?  Perhaps the job was too small for company to care about? Sunset Glass employee did not look carefully at the window to be fixed, did not communicate well, and the job was done poorly, followed by denial and difficulty finding any resolution.   Not sure how to advise you to get the good folks at this place, we did not.  Estimate seemed reasonable (little high perhaps) but definitely not worth it based on the final result. read more

It cost a little extra to have it done on the spot...and I could have waited until the next day for a reduced price...but I wanted it done right away and it was worth it. Sunset Glass installed a new frameless shower door in our bathroom. It looks beautiful. We have only had it for a couple of months and so far it is working perfectly. When I first called, they came to provide an estimate very quickly, then built and installed the door a few days later. The estimator was courteous and helpful. I was not home when the door was installed, but my husband reported a good experience. The only reason I am not rating "five stars" is that they didn't leave an invoice and I had to call them four times to get one. Also, each time I called about the invoice I asked for a quote to get the glass in the bathroom windows replaced with obscure glass and they neither provided the quote nor told me that they weren't available to do that work. read more

These are truly horrible people. my contractor suggested them to install a new shower door and mirror. They made and did not show up for three appointments. when they finally did show up, they gave a rough estimate and promised to get back to me that day with a firm estimate, knowing I was going out of town the next day. they took the existing glass doors with them, inorder to save a trip. I did not hear from them until the following week and then the estimate was almost twice what they first stated. After calling, texting and Emailing them, without success, I finally had to threaten legal action for them to return my property. They are thieves, dishonest, unreliable and flat discourteous. You do not want to to do business with these people. read more

Juan replaced a shattered glass sliding shower door for us a few months ago. Recently the metal framing around the glass starting coming apart. Juan gladly came back and fixed the frame around the glass for free. Great, professional service by Sunset Glass, Ivan specifically. I moved into a "flip" with bifold doors that had been installed poorly. They needed to be adjusted and fixed in order to even get them to open. Ivan is such a pleasure to work with. He came out in January to provide an estimate, and then I had to wait for a few months to do the work, and as soon as I was ready, he came to make the adjustments. Here's another BEWARE! They are nice guys BUT they did a poor job on replacing my sliding glass door, the new glass cracked after a day or two due to the bad workmanship. Juan the owner of Sunset said he would take care of it. After several calls l finally reached him, he said he was on another call and would call me back in five minutes.....That was tree weeks ago and still no call. Now I have a cracked sliding glass door and lost approximately $400 for the poor work. I definitely would NOT recommend them! read more
